Icon4s:Team chemistry is something that should be jealously protected and last week we had cause to discuss it with the overwhelming emphasis being that it should not be sacrificed for any player. However we are beginning to set it up as tool to dissuade discussion about certain players. None of us is in camp with them so we cannot make authoritative statements about this or that person coming to spoil the team spirit. Like you have pointed out all those guys played with Enyeama and Rohr has said Enyeama's return will be on his(Rohr's) terms and not Enyeama's. 1 Like |

safarigirl: We were talking about the individual brilliance of Enyeama right? For the MOTM performance to be given to a player from the losing side it really means that player was so so outstanding. Enyeama could not multiply himself into 11 players. You are trying hard to rubbish Enyeamas performances just to promote Uzoho. Hahaha. A goal keeper for a Team B side. Not as if it is even a Team B of a top Spanish club. Abeg fear God o. 1 Like |

Icon4s: Is that the reason we pull out another carpet for someone that has no zeal to wear GWG? He's tired n he doesn't want to come back... Why forcing n begging.. In case he got scold in addressing home do you know the next thing he will dish out... ? You beg me to come back and why putting up drama... No player is indispensable Even if Mikel said he tired today... We will go out and play the match... The whole country Don beg am.. Even number 3 citizen in Nigeria also beg him what else did he want again? He doesn't see reason to be part of the team,he has seen it all... Uzoho Ajiboye and alampasu... Is okay... Ezenwa n Akpeyi should fight it out... Get a good psychologist to make them believe they can.. For enyeama to do it in 2002 either of the three goal keeper Can do it... Am sick and tired of begging any player to play for us... Population of 200million and one person is feeling important... He should enjoy his retirement 7 Likes |

Mujtahida: Thank you . I just tire. Do they know what we are going to face at the World cup? If team chemistry is the issue, then Enyeama is even better placed than Uzoho, Alampasu and Okoye. Our back line has not much changed since Enyeama left. So wetin? 1 Like |

MetalJigsaw:You surely have not followed the trend of information regarding Enyeama since Rohr took over if not you wouldn't have typed the bolded. Do you know how many times Rohr himself has called Enyeama? Do you know who has been most consistent in calling for the return of Enyeama? Rohr!!! I don't know how convincing someone amounts to begging. He used the word convince. You turned it to begging. Is convincing and begging the same? Now to your question: should Enyeama return, Mikel will continue as captain. Any more problems? |

Icon4s:I am not trying to even promote Uzoho It was you who brought in Uzoho, so it is you that knows your own aim of bringing him in I was questioning your false notion that Enyeama is a father figure after the theatrics he pulled and you brought in Uzoho What is so bad in a player playing for a B Team? Why do you want to look down on people? I have never been a believer in your experience mantra and I certainly don't believe in the League Makes The Player Mantra either, so I will not bother addressing your final paragraph because I find it insulting. |

We made mistake and we accepted and we took a bold step to beg and make you see reason we need you then you still believe we are nobody... What else do you want us to do again? Enyeama is a good goalkeeper in doubt but he cant hold to ransom.. May I ask you which club is enyeama playing before he man the SE post in 2002? Uzoho was trained in aspire academy one of the best in Europe and immediately find himself in depotivo team b.. Keeping regularly every weekend ...its not a joke! How many nigeria goalkeeper playing in top clubs in Europe ? How many nigeria goalkeeper currently playing regularly not bench warmer for team B in Europe? 3 Likes |

safarigirl: It is still some of una that will still come here to say "Enyeama was having a good run of form at Lille but was ignored". Just as some are still blaming the NFF and the whole football fraternity for letting Alaba, Delle Alli and other play for other countries. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mujtahida: 11:15am On Dec 11, 2017 |
Icon4s:I will also be happy if Enyeama returns because all over the media Rohr keeps talking about not having found a gk that satisfies him. He still said it again in the last interview posted here. However those who know Enyeama said Enyeama has said he is done with the SE. So if that is the case then we just have to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. We will have to settle for Uzoho, Akpeyi and Ezenwa and let the devil be damned. I just had to weigh in because team spirit is being set up as an ojuju Calabar to terrorise anybody that calls for Martins or Enyeama. Team spirit is delicate and must be protected at the same time we should not use it to scare discourse on the inclusion of certain players. At the end of the day we should remember that Rohr is a disciplinarian. All the players I have read say he's both a father and a disciplinarian. I don't think he would spare anyone who wants to scuttle his plans. 1 Like |

soetanoreoluwa:I just find the cheap shots at Uzoho to praise Enyeama as disgusting The way people talk here ehn, you will think the day they gave birth to them they attained one top position. Many times people have been underrated because someone thought "...That small boy?" "That small boy?" Has done more harm than good to this country, but we keep using it to discredit people. There is nothing I hate more than that because I know how many things have been denied me to be given to less capable people because "that person is older, bigger, 'looks' more capable" I hate that mindset 1 Like 1 Share |

MetalJigsaw:This is another matter entirely. Enyeama might not be Messi or Zidane or Finidi or Okocha but he is not the first player to be convinced to play for his country following adverse events. The only thing is that we should go ahead and trust the gk we already have especially Uzoho rather than waiting for Enyeama to rescind his decision. 1 Like |

Did you know Mikel waded in through Saraki but the guy still remain adamant.Hope you heard Peterside Idah statement on Enyeama return,he said Enyeama is not coming back. Sir I believe is better for us to plan ahead of Enyeama and move on,truly i understand your plights and i shared it but what can we do when the main man refused to accept our pleas. At least we have Uzoho,Ajiboye, Alampasu, *Ezenwa,*Akpeyi,Maduka, Nwokolor,Afelokhai, and experience old horse Aiyenugba, let's concentrate on them and see the result. 5 Likes |

soetanoreoluwa: First off, for the umpteenth time Enyeama was 3rd choice goalie at the 2002 WC. He was not in goal for the first two games Ike Shoronmu was. Enyeama only kept in the dead rubber game against England. There was nothing at stake. You don't gamble with an inexperienced goalie at the World cup. For God's sakes! Any of the young goalies can be in the team but not first choice. As for where Enyeama was then. He was the first choice Goalie for Enyimba FC, then Back to back NPL champions. He was in goal for Enyimba during there 2001/2002 CAF champions league campaign. As at that 2002 WC he was also part of the Enyimba CAF champions league team. He had a couple of good international exposure by virtue of that. As a 21years old, he had kept in highly competitive continental encounters. Most of those games are far more competitive than those academy stuffs you talking about. 1 Like |

safarigirl:That's not a big issue na. We free the guy. Secretly in my heart I want us to give Uzoho a chance but at the same time I know how much experience counts in gk department. If you watched the first leg of Porto v Man United, you will notice Porto used one young boy. Clearly that lad is a good gk but he made errors which experienced gk will not make. Experienced gk make errors too but the margin for error is minimal. And the reason is simple: if you have done something for a long time you begin to operate instinctively. You've faced so many testy situations which young people have not faced. Where a young gk might rush out and cause a penalty, an experienced gk will know that it's best not to rush. Experienced matters a lot. I sometimes however oppose it when it is used as a bar against testing or giving young people opportunity to also learn and gather experience. 2 Likes |

Mujtahida: What should be done concerning enyeama? Remember when he was in his top form... Can you count how many times Rohr talk to him? And still this man refuse to say a word... Do you know how many souls that have talk to him...? We should let go! If he wanted to come back he will come out and say it.. I was even expectant of him coming out of self retirement not until I saw peterside comment saying he's tired of playing for Super Eagle... That's an insult on whole country... That's how one person saying nigeria bring red carpet for him... Let focus on what we have at hand... And work hand on them if we re still expecting one enyeama to return we re on a long thing and I pray it won't be too long we realise we need to move on... If he want to come back... He should come out and said he's ready for selection not that he's tired of playing for us 1 Like |

Mujtahida: there are things we are missing here. First off, Rohr isn't a fool, he has heard what Peterside and the likes said but he still discusses Enyeama why? Second, Enyeama actually has issues with a lot of NFF guys, I am pretty sure Enyeama has not come out directly to say that he won't come back, it's all hear-say from? You guessed, the same NFF guys who he has problems with, while he has been keeping tabs with Rohr, the guy who he does not have a problem with and Rohr still is confident of getting him that's okay with me |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mujtahida: 11:37am On Dec 11, 2017 |
safarigirl:Idah Peterside has said it that Enyeama is not coming back. Well, some will call it begging or grovelling but I don't see how convincing a man amounts to begging even if one tries again and again. Do you remember that when Rohr started he was always about how we didn't have full backs and gk when Ikeme became ill? Today we have a surfeit of fullbacks. But Rohr is still crying about our gk and trust me our opponents will take note too. Value is ascribed according to the importance of a thing. If the gk department is important to us then convincing Enyeama to return is not bad. But my own is let's go on with what we have on ground and not wait for Enyeama. Uzoho will not disappoint us. I trust he will not. 2 Likes |
