Mickael2:It's the NFF guys jare. It's not that Enyeama doesn't love the Gwg. I can tell you he still does. But he has enemies in high places and he doesn't want to come back to the team and perchance something goes wrong they'd lay it on him. If it's me sef I'll just stay away. You are right that Rohr needs him. We have read Rohr say so in the media na. |

Mujtahida:age is not a testament of Experience, is it? Did you not see the schoolboy errors that Akpeyi and Ezenwa have made despite their age AND experience? Whenever people argue about experience, I always say the same thing, experience does not always tell the full story. Do you know that if I watch goalies everyday, I will know just how to handle certain situations as a goalie even if I have never played? I have seen make-up artistes that learnt their art from watching people do it, when they finally take it up, they do much better than people with better experience. Do you have to have unprotected sex before you know it could result into pregnancy? 3 Likes 1 Share |

Mickael2: You have painted the true picture. 100%. We should not rule Enyeama out yet. How people will be comfortable having someone like Uzoho as a first choice goalie to the Senior WC keeps me wondering. 2 Likes |

You mean we should do a '98 in 2017 You guys should let this Enyeama rest even Dodomayana has warned us not to repeat same mistake we did with him in the name of experience. Enyeama needs a proper ceremonial game not to fight for shirt in the Eagles. Let's always learn from history, it has ways of repeating itself Icon4s: 2 Likes |

Mujtahida: Pinnick needs to call a state holders meeting ASAP and settle this in good enough time. Unfortunately our Red beret minister of Sports is not interested in football affairs, he also has a part to play. Nigeria is bigger than any single individual or individuals' interests. |

Icon4s:I don't think Rohr is having any hope on Enyeama again, left for Enyeama to make himself available which i don't see happening. When Rohr first came he said his wish was to have Enyeama back so that with Ikeme and Enyeama his goalkeeping dept is settled. |

Icon4s:so, you know this but you are harping on a single individual? Pinnick should call a whole stake holders meeting on top Enyeama, because Enyeama na God abi? When Senate President begged him that was not enough, but make senior men for NFF gather themselves to apologise to one person unto say if we carry am go World Cup, we go win Na so una do the Tammy own too, so they Pinnick go dey waste better wine on top small pikin head...NFF should not beg any soul, no one person is bigger than the whole Nigeria. 3 Likes |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Icon4s(m): 12:04pm On Dec 11, 2017 |
nelszx: Two different scenarios. Rufai was on vacation and was invited just 3weeks to the WC. In Enyeama's case we still have a couple of games to assess and reintegrate him. in that 98 WC Baruwa was a total calamity and so Rufai's recall was inevitable more so as Ike was injured |

Icon4s: You think they care? I can tell you they have achieve their aim.. That's qualifying for WC And milk out any financial attachment to it.. Most of them took qualification to WC more important than nations cup cos they will have opportunities to travel out to countries... Sponsors will bring in more money.. FG will bring billions of Naira too.. Which they will not account for.. Then ,they Wil ask who is enyeama? Those cabal don't care ,we have qualified already.. Whether we perform well or not they don't care maybe few people in NFF care like president n his vices... Others... 2 Likes |

safarigirl:Yes experience has nothing to do with age as in biological age but has a lot to do with time spent on a job. Again the relationship between experience and output differs from one occupation to the other. Again room must always be made for the gifted, the talented, those who show exceptional quality. At the bolded: it depends on who you watch. If you watch baroof gk you will produce baroof goalkeeping. If you watch those who have top quality gks who have honed their skills through the years you will likely turn out a top notch gk too. We have never experienced this kind of transition where the in-coming gk do not learn understudy the older ones. 3 Likes |

Mujtahida:if I am watching videos, why will i watch only one person? Watch both baroof and top quality, why will you watch top quality GKs only? You should see how the other goofed so you don't goof in the same manner, you watch quality GKs and you won't even know that is a goof For instance, if you don't watch Akpeyi, you may not know that it is a foul for a goalie to handle the ball outside of the 18-yard box. There is something to be learnt from everyone |

Testimonial match , him no get. Why? He scattered all he worked hard for for 13years over what? Dem diss me and the memory of my mama.... Who actually dissed his mum? Thats a blatant lie. If he was in mourning, what was he doing in camp? Person wey him mama just die dey keep goal? This is why we Nigerians are sentimental bunch. Instead of correcting wrong doing, una go dey praise and install mediocrity. Blame Oliseh till tomoro. There can only be a captain in a ship. safarigirl:Enyeama is not a magician but I say that of all our players from the last three WC none, I repeat none has been outstanding as Enyeama. The WC has always been his stage. Did you watch Nig v Argentina in 2010 WC? Ohhh my goodness Enyeama thwarted waves after waves of attack from Messi and the attacking horde of the Argentines and if I recall he was given man of the match award. None of our players have ever been magical. None but they've done their best and we should honour them. I guess if five years from now someone says Mikel or Iheanacho were not magical it won't seat well with you. Enyeama is a very solid gk. He is not just solid but in the history of goalkeeping in Nigeria he is the best we've ever had. Ask Icon4s and Kog45 5 Likes |

Icon4s:It is Enyeama that has made us stand with some measure of respect before the Argentines. If not anytime we hear Argen not to talk of Tina we go just begin to pee. What he did in 2010 earned him the personal respect of Messi so much so that after the match Messi mentioned him. 1 Like |

Mujtahida:so, now we can use 2010 World Cup for Enyeama (which is the only thing uses 98% of the time anyway)....but, if dem wan use 2010 for Martins now...... Anyway, football is not based on past performance, but current performance.... Let me borrow that one. Seven years is like a millennium in football. As can be seen, in 2014 World Cup, dem don sabi the guy finish, so he couldn't thwart nothing. In 2018, it will be a meeting of old friends now, and he will probably concede five. 1 Like |

safarigirl:You've never had enemies in the NFF and we all know that those same officials are the main hindrance to his return. He didn't abandon the players. Do you know that Enyeama personally called Akpeyi after the Argentina match to encourage him. Do you know that? Who does such a thing if not a man whose heart is that of a father or at least a big brother. Have you not read his tweets congratulating the team most times while carefully put it across in such a way that it would not look like he's grovelling? (Efe Ambrose also tweets showing he is following the team) How can you say all these things when you have not spoken to Enyeama and yet find it so easy to judge the man and the situation ever so scathingly? Is it that easy to judge? You can you abandon the SE? 3 Likes |

Mujtahida:so, he did not abandon the team after the Oliseh debacle? All these enemies in NFF you people keep mentioning sha....reads like some "village people are after me" narrative So, if he has enemies, why is anyone still considering him in the team? Or will the enemies disappear once he returns? It is easy. It is you people that are complicating the guy's life as if he has not told you he is not doing again. If I was Enyeama, I would do a full video clearly telling everything as it is rather than allowing speculations fly. E no hard to do one minute video. I have already forgotten this guy's issue, after all, when the entire thing first happened, I was insulting Oliseh and till today, I will continue insulting the mumh Oliseh, but Enyeama is not a saint in it either. 1 Like |

Mujtahida: Haba... Brother!! Fear God na! Before 2010 we don dey face argentina. 1994, we almost beat them if not fo wuruwuru of Maradona, Claudio Cannigia and the referee.... bear in mind that we scored first thru samson siasia. 2002 nko? They practically huffed and puffed. Took out Kanu Nwankwo before the game went far enough for them to win. Not like we were peeing our pants whenever argies faced super eagles.... Enyeama is good, very good. Aint no disputing that. He did some saves against almighty messi. And personally, i think it is a motivation for him whenever we face Argentina to always stop messi's goal attempts. But thats where it ends. We have never been afraid of Argentina. Since we been playing competitive matches, they have always managed pipping us not walloping us. 2 Likes |
