SalamRushdie: Yes...he has great vision for Lagos state, Action Governor"...I just don't know why some people are bitter about it, Lagos is a massive project and Ambode should be commended for the mammoth feat he's been able to achieve in the little time he's been the governor. 2 Likes 1 Share |

No doubt, the dirt have become more visible on some roads but one thing we should note is that there are always certain issues especially after take overs and the delay doesn't mean that LASG is also happy with the state of the environment. I have seen some trucks of Visionscape around Ojota and its environs, mostly moving around at night. I think they are trying to put in place things before they finally kickoff. Out of curiosity, I read up on them and they have done well outside the shores of Nigeria and they are trying to replicate those ideas here. Once they start, we can be rest assured that they will live up to expectations. |

CrtlAltDel:This is an eyesore and sad but I am sure the state Government will also not be happy seeing things like this. They are no doubt working round the clock to ensure a cleaner Lagos. |

Graciousnaija: Wrong. Some places are dirty, no doubt, what we can do as citizens is to call the attention of the ministry of environment to it...they can then take action. Lagos is our state, and it wont get better by sitting down and doing nothing. If you see a dirty place, call the Ministry of Enviroment and they'll take necessary action...Lagos na we own o |

jamrid:We need to give I to Ambode, the dude is really trying and has performed beyond expectations. We need a cleaner Lagos and I am sure this is what the government also wants. The introduction of Visionscape will be beneficial in the long run. They are working on the Epe landfill, they have their trucks ready and are still acquiring more. I want to believe that things will change for the better soon. |

Smooyis:The Enviromental ministry under Fashola took time to achieve what it did. This present administration is also doing its best and we should just support this Cleaner Lagos Initiative and we will see the gains 1 Like |

Simpledude0847: I what ambode's predecessor put in place was working and Lagos was cleaner, then why disrupt it with new, half backed and thoughtless policies responsible for returning Lagos to a filthy state? Where is the sense and wisdom in that? Fact is, ambode came in with grudge against his predecessor to dismantle everything he put in place, to discontinue or abandon his predecessor's projects. Question: Ambode's budget is twice Fashola's budget, so why is Lagos falling back instead of moving forward? Why are we not seeing any serious projects and all we have so far are a flyover, overhead bridge, and layby? In Fashola's first 2 years in office, he was commissioning water works, hospitals, power plants, maternity centers, largest court building in Nigeria, driver's institutes, skills centers, even the best bridge in Nigeria today "Lekki Ikoyi Bridge" got off the ground. Fashola had a vision and he set the foundation for that vision, but not ambode, he doesn't have any vision beyond local government type projects that even state's with little resources are doing on a larger scale. Is there any reason why Aregbesola with little resources and financial challenges is commissioning better and world-class projects than Ambode? Is there any reason why Kano is commissioning better and world-class projects than Lagos state under ambode. What exactly is abode's grand vision for Lagos state apart from a regressing and dirtier Lagos that we are looking at right now? 2 Likes |

Lagosians are generally dirty people. Put a dustbin close to them and they will still throw dirt on the road |

Lagos is fast becoming a filthy state. The menace of illicit public refuse disposal was a diseased mammoth tackled in previous years by the Lagos state government, wherewith Lagos resident enjoyed a cleaner Lagos. The advent of the cleaner Lagos idea began in the earlier years at the emergence of the great visionary of recent times the former Governor of Lagos state Governor. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the desire to have a cleaner Lagos was further championed by his predecessor Governor Raji Fashola. In recent times, Lagos has once again enjoyed the filthy presence of the diseased mammoth, which is gradually ravaging our model Nigerian city, and fast turning every nook and cranny into a refuse dump. Something has to be done fast!! It's a state of emergency!! Please take a snap shot of a refuse dump and tag as #CLEANERLAGOS This awareness for good begins with us. #CLEANERLAGOS |
