Kog45:When I read it I just shook my head. Did you see the error Hugo lloris made against Sweden in one of the WCQ when France was already leading and could have won until the last minute that lloris made that error and gifted Sweden with a goal. Notwithstanding Enyeama's errors, he is our best even among the likes of Rufai, Shorunmu, Peterside, Okala etc. Errors will not change that. 1 Like 1 Share |

NPFL invitational tournament... Akwa Utd-1 vs MFM-1 Plateau utd-1 vs Enyimba-1 Both Akwa and Plateau scored via PK after going down.. I didn't watch the game,so I can't judge...but I hope this consistent last minute penalties being awarded in the league will stop soon...its embarrassing... 1 Like |

Mujtahida: Meh, it's called the BBC(BRITISH BROADCASTING COOPERATION) african player of the year award, of course the voting will be hijacked by sentimental English dudes. Don't forget that Moses refused to play for them, Manu fans definetly won't vote Moses, neither will City nor Arsenal and/or Tottenham fans, Salah seems the lesser evil since his Liverpool team is, well, Liverpool 2 Likes |

Nigeria football is more of a team play than individuals accolades. .. I don't think any Nigeria will be closed to clinching any individual award years to come.. Victor Moses could have clinched the titled had it been he was given the opportunity to express himself as he does in Nigeria But it's all well...make him carry am go cook soup... All we need I'd just the results 3 Likes |

I will want us to patiently wait for enyeama to start playing competitive football for his club first...before we start make care for him..... moreover rohr is ever willing to bring him into the team....it all depends on his willingness... I see him as someone that has pride and quite stubborn though.... |

My people, I think we are starting to put to much pressure on our team, we have not played up to 20 games under gernot, we are not yet there as a team, but the signs are so positive so far. Risk taking is something Iv noticed a lot of Nigerians dread, my brothers inspire confidence in uzoho , alampasu, Ajiboye and nwokolor and they will perform wonders in the World Cup. Experience is grossly overrated with few Peeps here. Experience or just talent dosent run football anymore instead determination and team work does. why can't we just trust our young players more? Besides let's not get carried away and know we are on a rebuilding process. Placing semi final as a target is just so unrealistic, we are good but not there yet. On enyeama He's seems like a drama queen he needs to put the needs of his country first, he's not playing for nnf he's playing for we Nigerians who bless and pray for him for the joy he has brought us, besides what has he gone through that komenk so likes pointing out that OBI mikel has not with the federation? but it's the love and passion that matters. which I feel vincent has lost. whatever his decision I'm not worried a bit. For a team to be successful in any competition player power cannot be tolerated. He might feel entitled to have privileges maybe coz of what he has done for Nigeria in the past, but he has to behave more like a professional and not blow up at everything the NNF did to him. He didn't blow up when he was discarded by bielsa, so If he can treat a team coach with respect he had to show that kinda respect for the national team. forget Europe the SE made enyeama the player he is today. Don't want to judge since nothing is certain. Sincerely I don't feel we desperately need enyeama, guys need to wake up and see that this is 21century football, young players have no respect atall, all of em are hungry and want to be the best, you think the Milan 18 year old keeper would not have started manning the post for us for about two years if he were to be Nigerian. At age 16 so why can't uzoho and co. Do it. Our year is 2022. I'm glad we all saw the end of the year with success. You peeps here are amazing. And this is the thread with the most matured, humble and a bit myopic people on nairaland. Big new year of joy ahead! 5 Likes 1 Share |

Mujtahida: thanks for the advise even though I feel slighted, yes thy can be invited but I have seen players who were invited, flopped and still their poor display was very well defended on this thread. Personally am not emotional concerning any particular player, if they are doing well let's be honest about it and they don't do well, let's stop making silly excuses for them, don't want to mention examples to avoid further argument. I still stand by my earlier point that it's all mere assumptions that some players become suddenly better than the current players we have after we have qualified for the world cup. sounds ridiculous! |

Just finished watching the Nigeria vs Argentina game, our defensive play was like music, well structured and executed. Noticed in the first half the Argentines full back were making the play with macherano making looping passes with them finding space behind us,to counter that when they build from behind, we had 3-2-5 shape with the front three pressing the center backs. They move the ball to the midfield, one drops from the front three to the midfield with Kc and iwobi not dropping too deep for an outlet for counter attacks. I like the way we play without the ball and I think aside the coach getting more Needed personel he can work on getting the best out of the guys he has now. And our passing accuracy should improve. I Believe in this team, dem dey give me hope 4 Likes |

Goke7:Sorry that you feel slighted. Not my intention at all. I get your drift about the excuses. Let performance be the prime criteria. I personally would not say any old player is better than the present crop but I think a player who is performing should be given a chance regardless of age. Once again sorry. Respect man. 3 Likes |
