Processor makes operations and applications run faster and Ram makes you run more than one operation/application at a time. An higher Ram reduces if not completely eliminates lag thereby making applications run smoother(or faster) smiley

Lol! How funny to compare a phone with a computer. These two devices has different architectural Chipsets designs and you would agree with me that your phone is just a portable device with lots of limitations!

Open Firefox to view nairaland,
Then open gmail,
Reply a chat on whatsapp,

Then on switching back to Firefox it loads all your pages all over again, eating more MB.

Welcome to android OS, even if you have 10GB ram, android is written with the java language, and unlike windows or apple which is written with C# (if I can remember correctly), cannot efficiently manage RAM.

What your 6GB ram is doing a windows phone with a more superior OS (windows 10) will tank quietly with 1GB MB ram or less. I didn't believe it until I saw it.

I doubt very strongly that a windows 10 laptop with 2GB ram cannot match your 6GB ram phone.

It is not about how much memory you have, but how your OS shares and manages resources.

Perhaps with future updates lagging will perish in android, but I doubt that era is upon us.

A phone of 4GB RAM on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 will perform better than all these infinix and Tecno craps. Infinix and Tecno boys should reason beyond RAM and Megapixel. Performance is way more than that.
