A phone of 4GB RAM on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 will perform better than all these infinix and Tecno craps. Infinix and Tecno boys should reason beyond RAM and Megapixel. Performance is way more than that.

They should come and have a taste of what Snapdragon looks like. #Teamsamsungs7edge.

lag has to do with processor not ram.

why do you think iphones dont have 1million gig ram yet 5times faster than all these shitty mtk infinix phones?

Lol! How funny to compare a phone with a computer. These two devices has different architectural Chipsets designs and you would agree with me that your phone is just a portable device with lots of limitations!

Never compare a phone to a computer! cheesy

Use your Infinix in peace and stop comparing the incomparable cheesy
except for having smaller screens, phones don't have any limitation. it can actually do most of what pc can do.

A phone can never do what I do on my pc, it is not just about how much RAM and processing speed, the RAM and Processors are actually constructed differently, so 4GB on a mobile phone is NOT the same as 4GB on a PC. it works differently. especially the processors, even way different!!

Lag can be caused by both! and including disk write/read speed

That awkward moment you think it's only RAM that makes a phone faster and you see an iPhone with 3gb ram running more faster than your infinix 6gb ram

just tell him to find a phone with 4gb ram and 1.0 GHz and compare with a 2gb ram phone with around 1.8 to 2 Ghz clocking. You'll feel the difference cos the RAM won't even see any work before they get consumed
Re: That Awkward Moment Your Phone Is Faster Than Your Laptop! by samijay8(m): 8:56am On Dec 12, 2017
I use HTC one m7 and if not the HTC heat problem. got a bro who use infinix with 4 GB RAM compare to mine of 2gb running almost 250 downloaded apps. anytime I cleaned the RAM I'll still have at least a GB free compare to his own with social media apps and not up to 50 apps, if he still cleaned up the running app, you go still see 1 GB free also

nope.
4 gigs of ram is the same everywhere. both on pc or phones.
problem is, you people cant really differentiate between ram and processing power.

chip manufacturers limit their processing power to what they think os or the phone needs at a time just like pc. thats why you havent seen mobile processors going above 2.5-2.8ghz while pc proccessors have crossed 4ghz.
smartphone processors can handle the same task as pc processors, only difference is the number of cores or power you need for a particular task.

e.g, you don't expect a core 19 or amd ryzen threadripper not to be more powerful than snapdragon 835 chip.
now imagine core19 in a smartphone, will it suddenly become less powerful? nope.

apple A10 and A11bionic chips are being used in both their laptops and phones. macbooks are some of the fastest laptop in the world.
making them smaller doesnt mean less powerful.
or will you say a sd card of 20gb is less down a big hard drive of 10gb?

did you know, snapdragon have started putting their processors in laptop running window 10? google it.

yes.
But main lag has to do with processors.

Hmm, you're not really a techie are you?
I will tell you why mobile processors aren't in the same league with PC processors, why even laptop processors aren't in the same league with desktop processors: the reason is power management.
There is no phone processor - not even the new snapdragon cpu - that is on the same level with your average core I3 yet, much less an I7 when it comes to computing power simply because of this: your phone is expected to last a day, most laptops don't go beyond 4 hours of continuous use, while desktops are always powered on. Laptop CPUs are generally more energy efficient than desktop ones and therefore a desktop of the same price as a laptop would usually have a more powerful CPU.
There is a reason why intel CPUs don't do well on phones.

Don't take my word for it, you can check

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmark-List.2436.0.html

for cpu benchmark comparisons. Note where the snapdragon processors start from

I decided to look up reviews on one of those laptops that run snapdragon cpus. Here's a link:
https://www.cnet.com/products/hp-envy-x2-series/review/

scroll down to the performance section and you see that even they don't rate it anywhere in the league of the core i3 cpu

I'm an ITMS expert. And there is no debate about this; you can't compare any architecture in the smartphone to a laptop. Because the components in the smartphone are actually miniature variants of that in the laptop.
Same way you can't compare a laptop with a desktop of the same specs. The desktop is always more powerful. It's all a known school of knowledge in the IT environs
Thank you.

Who said mobile processors are more powerful than pc processors?

In the process of acting like you know something, you just turned the whole topic of discussion upside down.

Go back and read that post 2 more times, this time, take your time to digest it.

which planet do you come from ...phone has all the limitations laptop doesn't ...for a start can your phone write Android programs ....if you got the answer ..that's just one of the limitations that exist for a phone forget about RAM it's just a marketing thing...the slow laptop that you are comparing can just add virtual RAM by partitioning his hard disk to as much that it's need even to 200gb or more , the limitation of phone plenty well well it inexustable you Android phone cant read other program writing for other operating sysytem

Seriously, why do people start statement like they have something to offer, then you ended up saying nothing?

if you install appropriate operating system on a smart phone, it will write any code you want.
Seriously, I can't even believe someone is asking me that.

Are tablets more powerful than phablets?
Why are tablets capable writing codes and not android based tablets or phablets?
