Icon4s: Firstly, making a mistake can never make u mediocre. This can help us to be more attentive to details. One thing about me is that I live in the real world and that mean I know we can never sack the NFF so why should I kill myself about something that will eventually get swept under the rug? |

mank1234: Real Madrid had this issue when they got kicked out of Copa del Rey. New Zealand also missed the last Olympics because of something like this so we are not isolated. 6 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: Very true. Anyone could have made such mistake. My question is: 1) Is cards in qualifier carried forward to the world cup? If yes, then the error is glaring. If no, then the error is not so glaring cos the person might have thought that the stages are different. 2) is card in one competition transferable to another competition? Example, AFCON and world cup 2 Likes |

mank1234: Anyone can make such mistake. Yet out of 20 teams in the qualifiers, only Nigeria made that mistake. Abi, other teams did not get yellow carded in the first phase. Negligience caused this. We should not excuse this. |

BascoVanVeli: Thanks for those examples. I only hope we didn't make another mistake. We should start digging into matches we drew as well in case of eventuality. 1 Like |

tbaba1234: Irrespective of whether the person has saved us a millions times? What do you do the players that score own goals? Remove them from the team because of the error? It's possible other teams made same error unnoticed. 1 Like |

NNF should let gernot choose his staff, guys like aloy agu and the retard who committed that player selection blunder should not even be in the under 23 coaching crew. After all the hard work done by the boys some stupid greedy incompetent staff you cannot do the simplest of jobs napped, costing us 3points what a horrible mistake what kind of people are ruling this Nigerian. With this current mediocre staff we have I don't see u fulfilling our potential. 2 Likes |

Mainz used Balogun as RCD in a 3 man defence. Was expecting him to be in the middle of the defense. |

Some mistakes are too expensive a mistake. A suspension should happen to deter others from being complacent with their job. krattoss: |

one person is responsible. Someone needs be detailed in doing their jobs. But are we really surprised? It’s mever in our culture to take our jobs seriously. But you made a valid point. How come we all missed it? It was Because that match was a preliminary match. Most of us see only the group stage as the qualification stage. How many people remember Efe Ambrose contributed in our goals tally until I mentioned it here? Same reason terzurum5: 2 Likes |

somehow: I'll be sad and I'll blame him for it but I'll not call for his dismissal. I'm sure him too won't be happy with himself. One player is famously blamed for French inability to qualify for US'94 world cup. Some forgave him, some haven't even up till today. Such is life. I think it's wrong to sack someone for an UNINTENTIONAL and NON-REPETITIVE error |

Someone like you would have been singing another song if it was the other way round. Make I just dey look una. More simpler mistakes have been made in organised climes and we see how those involve resign on their own. Anyways it has happened and NFF have said the culprit won't go unpublished. 2006 unbeaten record spoilt and 1990 unbeaten record to Alrgeria also lost. Something the SE will take years to rebuild! We're watching. krattoss: |

Usually without an official review and decision to drop all accumulated cards before the next stage, every card still stands. kennysville: |

Maybe because we aren't paid to do the job and only doing what we are doing so far for the love and fun of it. You dare not miss such a vital info in a private company and not be ready to face fire. Common lateness to work in a private settings dey earn some people sack letter not to talk of making the company lose a contract they already won based on lapses. Nigerians and mediocrity. Joebie: |
