Rohr To Meet Puel Over Musa‎, Iheanacho’s Limited Game Time At Leicester
onlinenigeria.com Dec 12, 2017 5:22 PM
Irked by the bench roles some of Super Eagles stars play at their respective clubs in a world cup season, Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr is set to have talks with various coaches, and Leicester City will be his first port of call, r reports.

A highly placed source at the secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation in Abuja told Completesportsnigeria.com that the Super Eagles coach, aside discussing the Nigerian players’ inactivity or lack of impressive playing time, will also exchange ideas on how best to use the players at both club and country levels.

“Rohr is worried about Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa not seeing action at Leicester City and has been trying to schedule a meeting with
Claude Puel, and coaches of other clubs with Nigerian players. He would also visit Turkey, Belgium and Germany to see other players and their coaches,” the impeccable source told Completesportsnigeria.com.‎

“He is more concerned about Iheanacho not seeing action ahead of the world cup. Musa plays for the Leicester’s U-23s, and may go on loan to another club in January. Only Wilfred Ndidi plays regularly for Leicester.”

Our source also revealed that Rohr would also visit Carl Ikeme to know his health situation, as well as meeting Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina at their respective clubs.

This is how we endure mediocrity. There has to be some disciplinary action.

Yes disciplinary action not dismissal as some people proposed.

Algeria needed a result desperately. Your enemies will definitely be detailed when coming against u. They’ve got what they wanted.
Let’s hope that will turn their fortunes around lol

Algeria notified FIFA. Meaning they had our records but we did not.

More simpler mistakes have been made in organised climes and we see how those involve resign on their own. Anyways it has happened and NFF have said the culprit won't go unpublished.

2006 unbeaten record spoilt and 1990 unbeaten record to Alrgeria also lost. Something the SE will take years to rebuild!
We're watching.

If u haven't been keeping tabs on Osimhen's development, I advice you do. I'm so happy that he is now developing rapidly off the media.

Dude is seriously pushing for a starting berth at Wolfsburg, and I can see him starting before January ends.

I was marveled by his rating in his cameo in their last match but he did even better tonight.

He was introduced in the 89th minute and has a whoscored rating of 6.2 ahead of the guy( Didavi 6.1) he subbed. As if that wasn't enough, he has a better rating than Origi 6.0 who came on earlier for Mario Gomez in the 67th minutes.

He played behind the main striker with neither an assist nor a goal, how come the massive rating against RB LEIPZIG?

Rohr's boy

Thank you. I remember when we did the research here on this thread, and got it right.

Icon4s:

What I suspect would have happened is they probably were aware of Shehu's yellow card against Swaziland but lazily assumed that it would be wiped off automatically as we progress to the next round.

They probably didn't go the extra mile to find out the FIFA rule concerning that in this particular tournament.

Just like a lot of people were talking about head to head being used as a qualifying criterion prior to the Zambia game in Uyo (including Peterside Idah). Meanwhile for this particular edition of qualifiers it is goals difference.

There must be people in the technical committee whose job it is to read and interpret these FIFA rules.

I know someone who was given an IV of glucose but this man was diabetic. It took an observant visitor who was also a doctor to observe the anomaly otherwise the man would have died from incompetence.

Someone will then tell you, everyone makes mistakes after all he has been saving/serving others.

let ajiboye be tried...
I have always know you sir icon as someone always not receptive to change and taking risks as it pertains to fielding young and new players...many a time you pitch tenth on the guise of experience which does not always follow....

prior ezenwa introduction you sticked to akpeyi and even downplay here the impact any of alampasu and ezenwa will make in the team's play.....
but after ezenwa performance....and play you now want him to be super eagles no 1 at the world cup should enyeama not come back.....
I believe you will change your stance again should any of the other goalies prior the World cup proves better on the super eagles shirt....

I rarely take your downplay of these young players serious.....
I remember also.....your stance as regard ebuehi...and I know should the lad build on his last performance in the next few games...you will shift goal post as well.

please let us build and shop for a reliable option...should enyeama return to the super eagles...good for plus...but in case things work out differently....let us build a reliable option...in the current goalies we have in the team....
no one is too young to play the round leather game....

One of the indisputable components of experience is proven capability in the context of football. The quality of that capability can be clearly classed as exceptional, good or even poor.

If a youth player has experience no matter how small his unique ability and or quality will be self evident after even a few games.

How many games did KC play before he had recognition, however, maintaining that quality is the consistency that determines quality.

If you are young you should have clear cut recognition not speculative assumption or potential.

Somebody said it sometimes ago on this thread that part of the things we need to succeed at the world cup is to keep the players updated on the latest FIFA rules in d tournament... The NFF and the technical crew need it too oo.. This kind of error is just too embarrassing..

In truth, everybody makes mistakes, period. In some profession, mistakes are not excusable and I know football is not such profession. Some profession requires much more attention to detail than some.

Referees, coaches, FA, players all make mistakes and learn from them. The person involved in this has not even defended himself yet and you're out with a sledge hammer to kill the guy. Don't allow your love of the game to make you too emotional.

It is not about emotions. This is not a simple mistake, it could easily have been extremely costly.

Accountability is important. That is where disciplinary actions come in. Steps must also be taken to reduce the chances of reoccurrence.

I am one of those who is impressed with what Alampasu has been doing in training during camping and the performance of Uzoho for both Club and 45minutes debut for the Super Eagles. However, I refuse to rule out Vincent Enyeama's return because we need the best for that position.

Now come to think of the options available to us which are;
1. Akpeyi
2. Ezenwa
3. ***Uzoho*** (The anointed)
4. Alampasu

are you seen what I am seen?

If we decide to go with Uzoho and something happens. Who steps in for him, baring any injury or red card?

Common we need Vincent Enyeama.

Unless Enyaema or Rohr tells me Enyeama is not coming back else I will keep on expecting him.

I have never taken any anti Enyeama return Journalists serious. Let the news come from the right source first.

All these goalkeepers should be given the chance to prove themselves again. Na only 3 matches we need to test each for 45 minutes against top teams and then we can decide who is better.

How can I believe a bench warmer in a local league is better than a regular in the same league without seeing both play? A case btw Ezenwa and Ajiboye?

How can we tell who is better btw a bench warmer/first team squad player in an European club and a bench warmer in our local league? A case btw Alampasu and Ezenwa?

How can we emphatically say a division 3 goalkeeper is better than a regular goalkeeper in Europe? A case btw Uzoho and Dele Aiyenugba/Nwofolor.

How can i agree a goalkeeper with a team in first division is lesser than a goalkeeper in division 3? A case btw Alampasu and Uzoho.

Enyeama no get comma. grin

How can we say one is better than one without given fair share chance to one?

With an open mind, I say give all these goalkeepers chance to prove themselves and choose the best.

People should not use any more mischievous criteria to disqualify or qualify a goalkeeper.

FIFA FINES NIGERIA FOR USE OF INELIGIBLE PLAYER IN SHEHU ABDULLAHI AGAINST ALGERIA.

World football governing body FIFA has sanctioned Nigeria for fielding an ineligible player in Shehu Abdullahi in their final FIFA World Cup 2018 Qualifiers tie against Algeria on the 10th of November 2017 in Constantine.
Abdullahi who played the entire duration of the above mentioned game and even gave away the penalty, which Algeria converted to draw 1-1 isn’t eligible for the game after picking up two separate caution in two separate games of the same competition.
He was supposed to be suspended for the game but Nigeria fielded him, and FIFA have now confirmed a fine on Nigeria following the recent meeting of the Disciplinary Committee earlier today.
Nigeria were fined CHF 6,000 with FIFA also awarding Algeria three points and three goals, which means the game which ended 1-1 is now recorded as 3-0 in favour of Algeria.
However the victory awarded to Algeria, has no implication on the final standings of the group as Nigeria have already qualified for the World Cup, while Algeria were confirmed eliminated before the game.

This is what you get when you are too sentimental about a player.

Ebuehi suppose start and finish that match but the coach was busy playing pranks.

Thank God we have already qualified else the second best could have just replaced us if the 3 point will make dem top the league.
