this time of austerity fah, what if buyer doesn't have the dough to add up, best i can think of is that noobody collect the Mi and exchange with a note4, then he can sort the seller however he chooses. if na me, i no fit wait oh, before it gets to china, before they send another one again. If it had been a lesser one as raised by protein0...well when we get to that bridge, we'll know how to cross it |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by princetom1(m): 7:42pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
Protein0: U see my bolded part? The clients make d final decision. I didn't write the rules, aliexpress did. Alot of things could influence d client decisions, if it's me, i wount even accept the MI A1 because of its battery capacity. It's not about the difference in price, it's about the mistake the seller did and will beared the brunt according to aliexpress rules 4 Likes |

Protein0: The rules are clearly spelt out on alixpress, my only challenge is why should the buyer bear the burden of the extra cost? Recall not everyone have spare cash lying around,as a matter of fact you'd be shocked how people deny themselves to get a new phone. What if the store had sent out a defective product and Alixpress sides with them, would the seller chat you privately for a refund? |

fibonacci2526:I sincerely understand but then let's look at the other side. What if it was redmi 4a that was shipped? I've personally not experienced or heard of aliexpress taking side with seller on defective device. The worst that would happen is to return the device. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Protein0: 8:06pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
princetom1:the last time I checked the rules, if item is not as described, buyer returns item and have full refund or keep item and have partial refund. Has it been revised sir or did I got d rule wrong? |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Protein0: 8:10pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
t33why:we've been at the bridge severally, we'll all be shouting "dispute". No more, no less. Noobody had been in the seller's shoe before. He delivered redmi note 4x instead of redmi 4x. The difference might not be much but then no one is a perfectionist. I think his options were reflections from his experience but are absolutely the fairest in this case. If we think it's the seller's cross, then the opposite scenario must be treated equally. Would we have asked d buyer to accept redmi 4a instead of note 4?? 2 Likes |

grinface98: It's simple as it is ,if you use a pirated app you are thief cos you are stealing from another person's hard earned money or time put into it. If you think the buyer is a thief, then we are all thieves then. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by fibonacci2526: 8:13pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
Protein0: Well that is not how the rule works,if the item is not as described you get to seek full refund and the at the same keep the item which might be useless Sha. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by iliyande(m): 8:16pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
Hi noobody, info the seller first. Also ask your client if he likes the phone and is ready to pay up the remaining balance. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Protein0: 8:16pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
fibonacci2526:well, maybe aliexpress applied it wrongly for me then. With personal experience now, item not as described was returned for full refund. I think write2obi had a similar case with a car accessories if I can recall. Seller gave him the option to return. Maybe there is another rule sha but kindly share it with us ma |

Protein0: U said it well, [b keep item and have partial refund][/b]. So, where does this client should pay up to complete money for A1 comes in? |

fibonacci2526:Have you EVER seen me use pirated apps? Because I commended them both on their honestly now means I download paid apps for free? Why would you just attack someone on this faceless forum for doing things you've never seen/hear them do? What even gave you the impression that I CAN'T pay for premium apps? 2 Likes

Protein0: Make I go try my luck , I might get mi6 instead of 4a The seller is at fault, if the buyer is okay with MiA1 so be it.. buy Noobody should mail seller and seek sellers opinion In this case buyer has an advantage... Cheers 2 Likes |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Protein0: 8:32pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
noobody:1. I want you to reflect on your feelings when you were in the seller's shoes and the buyer's handling of your shortcoming. We collectively made a similar one few weeks ago too and remember your remarks. No one is infallible 2. Remember what sent your bulk data guy packing. 3. Remember your knowledge of how these Chinese operate 4. Review majority opinions so far and align them with logic 5. If seller can't wait, for a fresh order (he would have waited if it were to be the other way or the device is defective tho), you know how to get him his desired phone within days (save for festive initiated challenge tho) 6. If it was unfair, buyer wouldn't even listen to your "balance up" option, not to talk of accepting it. Kudos to your buyer. He's the man! Lastly, I don't know what you should do but I know what you shouldn't do. Never treat it as "na seller's wahala, make she bear am". I'll leave your awareness of how they operate to explain this to you. More $$ to your strong room 3 Likes |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Protein0: 8:36pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
princetom1:you obviously missed the above sir or maybe you deliberately chose to ignore the alternative. Return item and have full refund OR keep item and have partial refund and in this case, Seller will prefer the former. I've experienced it personally. When seller thinks partial refund won't pay him, you'll return it. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Protein0: 8:40pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
princetom1:maybe there's that particular aliexpress rule you're referring to, kindly help me with it. @ the boldened, Your calling it robbery is laughable really except if ROBBERY has a new meaning and your telling us will do us a lot of good. Also, you boldened the fact that client should not pay and he's decided to pay, even before noobody brought the ish here, what will you do now? |

My People... My People... We are one family... with different dreams, ideas, indifferences and solutions... We are one. Let's not argue too much about this. Ehm... Oga Noobody... Biko... Beckon your client. If he is okay with the MiA1 and he his comfortable to drop the remaining cash to augment the cost of the initially ordered device, then do the needful. If he's not comfortable with the above, please do find a way to arrange for the initially ordered Note 4 for your client. You're not selfish in anyway cuz if you were, you wouldn't have brought this up here for everyone to chip in... That's why people hold you up high at a very high esteem. One Love. 3 Likes |

I personally will not take an Mi A1 in place of Note 4(X). I believe the seller knows the specs of these phones before ordering Note 4. My guess is that the seller might not even want to keep the Mi A1. I would not even advice him to keep the MiA1 unless he likes the Android One OS and is comfortable with the 3080mah battery. Anyway, let's wait to here what the seller wants. |
