noobody:
I need honest opinions here,

I ordered for a gold redmi note 4,4/64gb from et stores for a client,he unboxed today and got a MI A1 4/64gb(black)which is more expensive,
The client was honest enough to let me know,of which i gave the client two suggestions,

1)we return the phone back to china and the store sends what we originally order for.client disagreed saying the time frame would be too long, and he cant wait for another to be sent,

2)client pays back the balance for the MI A1 and i refund the store the balance, because,i put myself in the shoes of the seller as well, this must have been an honest mistake, and my consceince cant accept for the seller to take such loss,(which the client agreed to.

But i felt i was too selfish with the two options i gave the client, and wish to seek you guys opinion on the matter,so help me out here guys, thanks.

This one na real case study o

I thank Nobody for his sincerity and also thank protein & few others for their sincere suggestions. Others which I will not mention their names are very dubious going by their suggestions.

I hope am not late to comment, for me let the client balance the seller (option 2) because if the seller had sent redmi 4a or 4x 2/16 is obvious the client will reject it and demand for a refund,so the client should please be kind enough to balance the seller before they sack the innocent seller if it was a sale's boy case.

Very funny come at in here. I have to jump in here. Noobody, even u, know that this isn't fair. Am not here to write an epistle. The ish on ground should be, what does ur client want at this junction. Does he want to take the A1? He says time frame for another phone is too long. Forget about him paying any balance, that's totally out of it. Even if am buying from AliExpress and this kind blunder happens, depending if it's a phone i like or not, i will be getting compensation, irrespective of the difference in price. Pls note that the client at this junction should say what he wants and whatever he decides is final. If he wants to keep it, fine, he should never pay any balance, if he wants to send it back and maybe u offer him express shipping free for that, still fine, and if he is willing to accept with ur suggestion, still OK. Don't forget, client should decide what he wants and should never pay any balance or else, it's robbery shalom.
Hmmm, some strong points.

If we are to even go by aliexpress rule, seller should be coughing out compensation
Was discussing this with my friend, if you go by the businessman rule it's an opportunity to rip off the seller.

no human being on earth is above mistake,if you were the seller that mistakenly sent that item or somebody came to your shop and after paying for an item you mistakenly over balanced the buyer...now should the buyer take the over balance and leave, what if you quickly realise that you over balanced the buyer while the buyer is still around the shop premises you will go after the buyer or just sit down there and watch him leave??

Funny enough, it seems no one has asked what the seller thinks, what if the seller says he should keep it after finding if he is ok with it? Noobody should chat up the seller first.

Na dsame thing we dey talk, I nr say make the buyer keep am quietly, but I say make dem hear from the seller first, perhaps e go even say make d buyer keep am if e like d phone, because that one go b win-win situation for both parties.
