Unfortunately, we have little to zero training on the course and our handlers are always advising us to upgrade ourselves as the Govt isn't willing to do jack squat. Pls I'd like to know what courses I can do on Cybersecurity (from scratch to Guru level). Alotta sites advice A+, N+ and Security+ but some older colleagues say I should just jump into CCNA as it covers A+ and N+. Pls I'm confused as I don't want to spend my lean resources on a wild goose chase while trying to better myself. Pls Help!!!!!!

Got to udemy.com and search for a beginner's online course. The course is quite cheap. You can do Ccna later.

Do not mind what they guy above is saying.. take my advice start learning a programming language to avoid being a kiddy....
No matter how intellectually sound you are ,you cannot be hacking expert in just a week..
its impossible.... trust me.

Learn a scripting language, python preferably. I'm presently taking a course on udemy; introduction to ethical hacking (I payed for it). Networking basics are essential. Get books online, I have some I'm currently using and they are great. Also, create a safe environment, like an intranet, or just some hot-spot and connect pc's and try codes out. The fastest way to learn is learning on the job. Good luck

I would advice you buy books that focuses on cyber security it's a broad field which I myself am also studying I have myself three years to be fully grounded in cyber security knowing all there is to know and applying it in the applications I made, make and will make going forward from steganography to hashing and salting to encryption and all others it's too much work couple with the fact am still a student but am determined to be good in these areas cos I realize it would be an added advantage for me and also a make me stand out in these era of web and software developers who are flooding the Nigerian ict spectrum

Go to Cisco networking academy. Take thier cybersecurity courses. The entry level is introduction to cybersecurity, then follow by cybersecurity essentials. Keep going till u reach the top. It is certification aligned at the top level. Visit netacad.com

Just like you I'm a graduate of Biochemistry, did MSc in Forensic science, went back to for a Bsc in Digital forensic and Cybersecurity. Wanted to go straight to Masters in Cybersecurity but I figured that the I want to be grounded in this with fundamentals hence another Bsc.

I suggest you start from Network plus and then security plus and go from there.

I am looking for courses on cybersecurity because after reading some blogs' articles, like this one "Mobile Device Security" I got so interested in this whole approach. Like how does cybersecurity work and what can a man do to secure their data. And also I think that cybersecurity specialists make a lot of money when they work for a well-known company, for example, google.
