Quick question, please.

After filling the eligibility form, I was found eligible to apply for EE. I filled out my profile and submitted only for me to be notified that my profile is ineligible.

What could be the possible problem? Has anyone experienced this in the past?

I am currently branch operations head in a bank but cant seam to find appropriate NOC. Your kind input/advise will be appreciated. Thank you

Check NOC 6314 and 1212. Look beyond the job titles; consider the one that closely aligns with your job description.

Don't waste time in visiting unilag for these. My verification took 2+ month till I went to the office that handles it. They actually included my name on the list to be verifi3d instantly. And in less than 4 days. Wes completed.

I av a contact of the woman that actually batch the list for sign off. Mrs Olaiyan... but can't post no here.

Hi...currently waiting as well. Don't think the records office can do anything. I was told the request is usually sent from the registrars office to Senate (non academic) for processing. We just have to pray that the strike ends soon. Buy if you make any headway, please let us know. Thanks

Exactly. 6314 fits a Branch Ops Head. I usually associate 1212 with Cash Officer role though.

I tried sending you a pm but I didn't quite get the hang of it. Please respond to the email, it would be quite helpful if I can get your number as well as your contacts number.

Thanks.

Hello All,

I just need to vent for a second. I am preparing for IELTS in January and I am finding listening practice test rather challenging. I have done over 40 tests on YouTube. My issue is that I don't even know which ones are real because when I do the ones posted by some channels I rarely get higher than 34, they are wickedly difficult but when I do the ones by some other channels I always get 39 or 40 and I feel they are too easy. It's confusing, how do I know which ones are real? They all have similar patterns and voice recordings.
I really need to improve my listening. My husband that I am the one that tells him what they say in Oyinbo films(he doesn't hear their accent) is even getting higher scores in d practice tests. Any tips Pls helep.

What question type do you constantly have challenges with? Is it the multiple choice questions, labelling a diagram, maps or section 4? My tip for multiple choice: Begin to read the questions and options during the 30 secs given to check your work so that you will cover grounds when you are then asked to start reading the questions. Make sure you understand the questions, underline keywords, dates, etc. Listen to the recording such that even if you missed an answer, your understanding of the recording will help you make a calculated guess.

Maps and labelling: use your pencil to move as the recording guides you.

Section 4: Listen for paraphrased words. Read the questions and understand what you are expected to answer before the recording starts. listen for the information you are looking for. They are often paraphrased

Practice using any material, whether youtube or anything. They all eventually develop your skill. You can also use ieltsmaterial.com. Don't worry, you will ace it. Just practice and pray and be positive. Goodluck!

Hi guys,

Good Work here.

This thread is really helpful.

Please I have a question. I am about to start the process. I have 1 year work experience, 6months each in 2 different companies. The job description is exactly the same.

Please do you think this will count as "continuous work experience", since that is the condition to qualify for this immigration program?

I hope someone has an answer to my question.

Looking forward to your reponses.

Great people, only GOD can bless you all for all these wonderful notes, advice, updates et al. We shall all have cox to celebrate and get GOD taking all d Glory. Please while my IELTS is underway I want to ask few questions so that after entering d pool I won't be caught unprepared like d 5 unwise virgins.
1. Do I need to get all reference letters from all the companies I have worked after NYSC?
2. What do I do in d Choice of NOC? I am an Electrical (Power systems) graduate and I hav e worked in 3 different companies with different roles : Please what should be d yardstick for my NOC , is it any of the previous experience or the current one?
3. My ND n HND ECA is currently handled by WES, I have a B.Eng too but NOR is not yet out and that's y I proceeded with d aHnd, do u think I should evaluate dt of the BEng too for more points? Thanks fam

GOD bless u all.

@cochtrane already answered you man.. I will suggest you do ECA for your BENG and either ND or HND with WES as your ECA will be useful during job opportunity and other things like school runs in Canada. Recall, HND and ND is not equivalent to a Canadian Degree. Elsw you may still need to do for the B. Eng in future.

Learning the tips and tricks used in answering the questions is almost more important than just practicing. There are quite a few of them and you will only get them by visiting sites that teach you how to answer these questions. Check sites such as ieltsliz, ieltsadvantage etc on useful tips in answering the questions and then of course practice! And take note of problem areas you notice, so that you can focus of conquering those ones.

Thank you so much

Good day my good people,

So i decided to use ETX-NG in sending my transcript to WES from my institute, It has been one hell of an experience, 4 months and still counting "Oversabi is a really bad something" grin.

And then to my question, they have succeeded in sending my transcript with their snail pace. Are they also responsible for contacting my school to respond to WES' mail. just sent them a mail, i am not expecting any response till next week. Kindly respond if you have experience with them.

Thanks as always E-Fam.

In your larger interest better contact your school directly. So many individuals experience with them have not been palatable.

Thank you so very much, it's not like I am having issues with a particular section but the recordings are sometimes too fast and sometimes my mind wonders off. Need to work in that. Sometimes I will hear "and that's the end of section 3" and I'll have 4 blank questions waiting to hear sth familiar. Thanks for the tips I will keep working on it.

Hi Tollu, please clarify sth for me. Been on NA2 for a month now. Profile stills says we re reviewing additional documents provided(not sure wat dat means). I did however state I was pregnant in my LOE.
Did CIC inform you when your profile went on"hold"? Or d application will be stuck until one raises a cse for the new baby.

When background check moves from "In progress" to "we are conducting your background check" , what stage is that? Is it IP1 or IP2?
NB: Medicals changed to passed also.

IP2, but some timelines don't follow what we term the norm.

Please, does one need to do an LOE to explain reason for changing NOC post-ITA?
To me, I don't think LOE is needed for changing NOC post ITA but then, the LOE is to be used to further simplify whatever you feel needs to be explained. It’s thus left to you if you feel you need to explain, if yes, then please provide a LOE. For me, I’d let it pass without the LOE.
