AlhamduliLlah a sister has stood up to say no to infringement of right that we female muslim law student have been subjected to in law school and during the call to bar ceremony During the call to bar ceremony today 13th of Dec, 2017. My dearest sister Abdulsalam Firdausa Amasa was not allowed to enter the call to bar hall just because she refused to removed hijab her pride and her identity This sister was not called to bar not because she failed her bar final examination, not because she was late to the hall, not because she did not dress professionally but only because, she refused to choose law school rules over Allah's commandment,Only because she believes that Allah's commandment should rule over anything, only because she said NO to immorality, only because she said no to infringement of the right to practice her religion, only because she loves Allah (SWT) more than all the year she spent in university and all she went through in writing her bar final exams and believes that this has stop. Therefore, i want to call on everybody to assist this sister and fight against this barbaric law which has no significant what so ever. Pls support this because it does not affect only muslim law but all muslims in general. JazakumuLlahu khyran and pls dont forget t 6 Likes 1 Share

Your sister should have gone to a country where she's allowed to alienate herself from everyone and serve Allah totally and not thrust it on our faces. I feel for her and admire her commitment and dedication BUT Nigeria remains a secular state inspite of the 2 wave band behavior of our Rulers so let her adjust or remain a protester all her life 47 Likes |

When you are in Rome behave like a Roman.. You can’t endanger the lives of others because of one USELESS belief! Why not take your bar exams in a solely Muslim country where dressing like a ghost is very well appreciated. She will never be called to bar unless she dresses as required.. she’s not the first and last Muslim lady that’ll have to set aside their beliefs for a few hours. 32 Likes 1 Share |

Why do you people always use religion to bend the laws of the land? If hijab is her life and pride, your sister should have read Islamic and religion as a course where she can use the hijab to cover her face and even "eyes". You know it is not allowed in law school why read law. Give Caesar what belong to Caesar. WSLM 31 Likes 2 Shares |

Religion is the problem why Africa and Nigeria in particular have not advanced at all. Which judge will allow such a masqueraded woman to enter a court like that. She should have known all through her days in the university that being a lawyer she must wear the normal gown and wig and not dressed in religious attire. 15 Likes |

Religion! Religion is different from spirituality. A lot of people have become a slave to the religion they belong to without actually worshipping the Almighty. If a muslim sister refuses to remove her hijab, it is her belief and should not be forced to do so. If the NBA refuses to call a sister to bar, it is their belief and shouldn't be forced to do so. Having said that, is that sister more muslim than all other Muslims called to bar yesterday? Is she more holier? In my opinion, she should have remained home in her purdah instead of ever having attended schooling if hijab is so important to her. Why can't she remove the hijab, finish the ceremony and put it back on? Every profession has its ethics. Even a traditionalist who wears only native dresses will definitely put on corporate wears if he wants to practice law. I pity that muslim sister, not because she was prevented from being called to bar but because she has been well brainwashed into believing an item of clothing is more important by clerics who do not have half the education she has. 36 Likes 4 Shares |

Unfortunately your sister ought to know better, that she had to follow and respect, the ethics of this Noble profession. Also Nigeria is a secular nation. Why stick out like a sore thumb. Except your sister chooses to be a rebel. 5 Likes |

iambabaG:Useless belief You should learn to respect other people's views and opinions. just because a person decides not to follow the "norm" doesn't give you the audacity to tag her faith a "useless belief". if you have an issue with the religion or the way it is practiced, then simply ignore and if you can't, deal with it. kindly resist typing whatever comes to your head, try to be rational. Thank you. 3 Likes |

hatchy:I am very sure the "masqueraded woman" is just a picture attached by the OP and not the sister in question. Just because a person decides to dress in an "unconventional" way doesn't give you or any other person the right to call her style names. 1 Like |

You people should be allowed to have your own country where you can brainwash your gullible women that covering themselves up equals propriety. She should go and institute her own law school. 5 Likes |

She made a terrible mistake studying law..she didn't count the cost before venturing into law school. If she actually want to obey the laws and commandment of her allah, she ought to have studied arabic studies and not law. Muslims acts stupid most of the time thinking a secular society give a damn fuc*k about their fuc*king belief..and they would always want to bend constituted authority in other to have their way..ironically,they won't and would never give anyone that same privilege or respect your own belief whenever and wherever ideas contradicts..what a fu*cking monopolized religion. She should wait until she get to janat where allah and his angels will call her to bar with other religious mosqueraders where she would be well welcomed.. What nonsense.. 7 Likes |

I doubt this story though. Your sister should have protested from Law School while she was still a student. As someone who went there, i know Muslims are not allowed to wear such things in law school. Infact, during the dinner, you go in with no scalf whatsoever. So i wonder how the person could have endured all those ones, and then miss the final icing on the cake because of it again... 4 Likes 1 Share |
