lola234: If you can't fund a blocked account, the only other option is to get a sponsorship letter from someone, probably a relative, working in Germany, earning >= 1500-€ per month. 1 Like |

Can you please state the full reason for denial and not calling names or insulting the embassy. As a tourist, were you able to clarify your true intentions at the embassy? Do you have home ties to show you will come back? smithsydny: 2 Likes |

AIICO works as a travel insurance. The main reason for his denial won't be insurance.. Adetunjionafuwa: 1 Like |

Hello All, Greetings from Deutschland. One advice, if you are above 30, please just go through the stress of opening Deutsche bank account, I think the stress is worth it. #start early. Reasons: 1. If you are above 30 you pay bank charges.....lol, some banks charge as high as 7.69 euros monthly, I think Deutsche bank charges 4.99. I stand to be corrected by the gurus in the house 2. Remember you are already paying a monthly charge of 4.99 for Fintiba ( if you decide to use it). 3. Kindly add the charges yourself and see how much u forfeit monthly. Finally I am currently having an issue with Fintiba, they deduct more than 4.99 monthly. I have called and sent mails, still the issue is yet to be resolved. Please choose carefully especially if you are above 30. Shalom. 2 Likes |

The discrimination in Nigeria is incomparable to the racism in germany Interesting Racism and discrimination is well and alive in Germany, just because it's not discussed here doesn't mean it doesn't exist Also ask yourself why people avoid Eastern Germany Don't come here with the mindset that it's better than Nigeria in terms of discrimination 1 Like |

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by almeida3: 10:13pm On Dec 14, 2017 |
frenzyduchess: Sponsorship letter from a full time student with part time employment of any kind will not be accepted by the embassy. I do not know of the situation that arises when the person works full time and studies part time. The gurus in the house can help us with that info. |

almeida3:Please, I need the format of the sponsorship letter. Thanks. |
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by almeida3: 10:53pm On Dec 14, 2017 |
petlaz:You do not need a format Your sponsor needs to make an appointment at the Ausländerbehörde in his city. They would give he/she a date to come in, as well as the required documents to bring along to verify that he/she is suitable to be your sponsor for your visa. It cost 25€ Once your sponsor has fulfilled all the necessary requirement, he would be issued a document, which is the sponsorship letter, duly stamped (that is the sponsorship letter). He needs to send the copy to you as the embassy needs to see the original format. You can ask that he/she scans it before sending it via courier, as you would need it as part of the documents for your visa interview. All what your sponsor needs from you is your full name (as it appears on your passport) date of birth and your address here in Nigeria (for the courier) CC Olanrewaju92 3 Likes |

Jigba:@ Jigba, what I am saying is that it is sad to be treated as a second class citizen in your home country. Of course I knew that there is racism and all manner of discrimination in Germany, at least in another man's country I know where I belong so am not expecting to be treated as king. Empowerment is what is driving most guys to foreign country. Thanks for reminding me of eastern germany, its my CGPA that is pushing me to all nooks and crannies of germany. Its in God's hand. 3 Likes |

bulalakoboko: Eastern Germany isn't as bad as made seem. I second your initial opinion that discrimination is worse here. I studied in Ukraine which is notoriously known for being racist, far more than Eastern Germany. I never had any major race-related altercation. I felt more comfortable and less discriminated than I have been in certain parts of Nigeria. Even in conservative parts of Germany their problem is mainly with Muslims and foreigners who refuse to accept to the German culture and way of life. Even worse, they dislike unemployed foreigners. If you're working, and respect German cultural and act according to their social norms, you shouldn't have any problems. 2 Likes |

darlingtonNYIG: I have no idea of when you went to Germany or what the requirement was, but right now it's requested to be handwritten. On their requirements PDF, it's even bolded and underlined to highlight it, so I personally would advice against typing it. Please let's make an effort to verify information so as to avoid unintentionally misdirection.

Blackanada: I don't agree that Eastern German isn't as bad as they seem, that place is not good for foreigners. I've lived in Germany for two years enough to know that But there are Blacks who aren't Muslim but have experienced racism all their lives Blacks who speak perfect German and have lived here all their lives still experience racism, even after integrating well and knowing the German culture Although, it's not something you would see everyday but racism is well and alive here. It shouldn't deter anyone from coming though. Goodluck 1 Like |
