My application was straight forward... Wife was PA, Wrote IELTS just once... spouse too, did another naija PCC (only PCC required) when submitting for 2nd ITA, POF was just a simple letter from co-operative society from my wife's company, I didn't need to do ECA. I added my daughter from another woman and I got an ADR for a consent letter which her mum did willingly without issues.

Everyone that got ITA alongside myself and even after have all gotten PPR and some have even landed... @vcole, @SlowelybtSurely @40malappy and so on...

The race is not for the Swift... Keep your goal in mind and do all it takes to achieve it. Cross all the Hurdles (Poor IELTS results, ECA delays, Rejections, etc) with your head up and chest out. Aim for the finish line... Stay Prayerful!

no you cant get it from the online, you normally have to wait for the hardcopy but there is a way to calculate it.

Typically it takes about a week after the IELTS online result has been released to receive TRF of your IELTS. You may be in need of your TRF number before then, here is how you could formulate yours.

TRF number is 18 characters long, I would take a sample and explain how it is formed

lets look at this TRF Number 15NG005978BUHM050G

This is actually made up of joining 7 distinct groups: 15 + NG + 005978 + BUH + M + 050 + G

15 = last two digits of the year of your exam. all 2017 exam TRF would start with 17
NG = Country code, all exam taken in Nigeria would have NG while those taken in canada would be CA
005978 = candidate number, check the email british council sent you, if yours is 4 digit, add two zeros in front. 5978 = 005978
BUH = first three alphabets of your surname, so for Buhari it is BUH
M= first alphabet of your firstname, so for Muhammadu it is M
050 = last three digit of centre number
G= G for General, A for Academic

Now you would also need TRF date. if you didnt apply for remarking and your results wasnt pulled for quality assurance purposes, your TRF date may be a day before the online one is released ie 12 days from your exam date, exam date excluded. Though folks have recorded variation in this.

It's your certificate number. Just wait for it. Can be predicted though.

Going through this thread continually, I have noticed the dreaded LVO.

Please are there specific things that causes ones application to go to that Visa office.

Also, I have received my ITA but I’m still trying to go about my POF. My worry still remains that I have gotten my parents to gift me about 70% of the total POF. But my difficulty is leaving that amount for 6 months.

I would like to know what the periodic procedures for the Proof Of Funds presentation are like after AOR. If I decided to use a bit of the funds during the period between AOR and PPR(by the grace of God), would it affect my application?
And would I likely be required to send in another proof of funds as ADR after AOR?

Overall Band: 8.0

Listening: 8.5
Reading: 8.0
Writing: 7.5
Speaking: 8.0

invest the money in Tbills or fixed deposit, that way it is inaccessible to you and you also make some extra money from it. there is no periodic procedures for POF, VO act at their discretion. if they feel like, they may send an ADR for updated POF, they also may not.

if you decide to use it, and cant replace it, na yawa. if you use a huge percentage of it and replace it as a lump sum especially after you had got ADR for Updated POF, it may look suspicious ie source of the money maybe questionable.


As for LVO, it would seem having travel history to certain countries and visa refusals from certain countries, makes one land in LVO. no one can say for sure.

Pls I want to do a remark is it advisable. Crs is currently 415. Plus IDP says remark is 46k. I’m tired biko. Any suggestions house pls

I advise you register for another ielts and prepare more using speaker since IDP makes use of speakers for their listening module.

Hello all, I paid for international courier delivery for my WES and with the enlightening information on this thread I have since contacted WES to revert to standard delivery and refund me. I did that via the contact us page.

They have acknowledged this via a mail and I havent heard from them since then. Its almost 3 weeks now. What should I do ?
