All I can say is that this guy just gained my respect. Considering where he is coming from you would expect him to join the Nigerian army or sth but he joined NPF everybody regards with disdain. We need ppl like him there to mitigate how ppl look at the NPF as a 2nd hand profession. We all know we can't bribe this one, if he loved money so much he wouldn't have gone for this job

Please let us leave sentiments aside. Let us forget the clout of his fathers for a minute. The question is;is he qualified? In my opinion, he is well qualified. My cousin is also an ASP.He is a first degree holder:Bsc. Political science, U.I.Is he qualified? If you put the question to me,my answer would be yes.

How many over qualified youth applied for the job before he was picked?
You are obviously living in denial if you think that boy was picked based on qualification.
I remember applying for this job back then I passed d first stage cos my family knew d commissioner of police in that state I was told that i will need to know someone in d Senate or national assembly to cross other stages n in my front in d commissioners office a lady called d then Senate president n introduced herself n her husband n immediately d commissioner collected her phone n said yes sir n all n that was how she passed d other stages...I had master's n outstanding bsc from a reputable university but cos I had no powerful person at d Senate or NA I lost out....so I agree he didn't merit it its just cos of his family n connection I commented via my own personal experience.

Even the present sultan of sokoto joined the military in his young age. Most people from Royal household alwaysgo to military or police school to learn leadership skills. Despite how Sanusi criticize buhari I was surprised that they still communicate when he visited Kano. Northerners are somehow. Southerners we have a long way to go

Some are even saying he's over qualify cos he attended University of Buckingham, idiota with low self-esteem.
I don't respect people that have things handed over to them,,, most of them have never worked for anything in their life.

You are saying nonsense. The guy is 26 years old, holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from a UK university. An Inspector-General in the making. Keep whinning, you'll be okay. Congrats jare, young man.

Alot of illly informed felas are going to read negative meanings to your voice.
Did he got the job because he's qualified or because he's a prince?
Alot of capable Nigerians that went through the process weren't given the job....

I found out one of my biggest clients is on this forum and I couldn't help but wonder how many people here who could learn or benefit from him might have been rude to him.

In their defence though, nairaland isn't Quora. Every time I find a right thinking person here, my mind is blown.

That's cool!
Many folks who come to talk trash or tribal talks are basically kids or probably undergraduates who haven't had the opportunity of visiting places or met different people from various walks of like!
They just jump on every thread displaying their ignorance and insulting their potential helper... That's so sad.. But kids will always be kids undecided

Goodluck to you anyway!

I get your point dude. A very super qualified sister of a friend was turned down in a military Short Service Course recruitment earlier this year. An amazingly pretty intelligent girl. Top score in the tests including medical and exercise. Even an insider senior military guy was shocked.

Apparently nobody from certain tribes/regions was to be recruited at all in that batch. So the insider found out. But why was it not made official so that people from certain regions do not bother to travel across several states to take part in the recruitment exercise? shocked

I am sure that even the regions favoured, it would still mostly be connected people who got in.
Seeing the massive talent in that girl the military turned down, it is easy to see why 9ja is where it is.

Lemme tell you a brief story young man.
The recently concluded FCSC recruitment, my friend's sister applied, she had 1st class from university of Ilorin and also her second degree. She was invited for screening. When she got there, she said she was asked who was her sponsor and she said nobody. That was how she was dropped.
I have someone working for FRSC now that was almost dropped if not for intervention of someone we knew.
It's a pity it's those that suffer the most that defend these things when we raise the awareness.

Dont mind them, anytime anybody from a prestigious university joins the civil service I am happy, I dont care who your father is. Our problem is we have too many poorly educated in public life, civil service, police etc, army. Just listen to that police spokesman Jimoh speak and you will cry or read Nigerian Army press releases. It is a result of poor educated recruits who have risen to the ranks.

Which one is over qualified with Bsc in accounting, is it not the same with Nigeria Bsc, I know if first class Bsc in accounting plus Msc applied for the same job without letter from political father nobody will give him the job.
