You better spend some time learning software development skills from an expert in the field. You can spend even a year or two to master that to an average level.

Well u can present a misleading idea to him while u learn developing. because if u keep that idea for too long God will pass it on to someone else, remember the parable of the talent. I have seen my ideas been implemented by someone else because I was afraid to let it out and at same time I dont have the resources to implement them. Just Use Wisdom

I'm a data science/machine learning programmer, so i might not be a good fit for your task.

There are lots of software that are particularly for those with little or zero experience of coding.
MIT App inventor :- it uses a drag and drop feature that makes building android app very easy and super fast.
Sketchware :- This app can be downloaded on your android device, have same drag and drop feature as MIT app inventor.
This are the two I am familiar with.
You could do a Google search to get more alternative.

Create an MOU/NDA or get a lawyer to prepare an MOU/NDA which the developer would sign along with you that would serve as a proof and guide against him/her stealing your idea

Sketchware is the best app creator for beginners. I've been using for 4 months and I can tell you that the app is nothing but the best. Most things that seems impossible to achieve in sketchware can be done using the code injection technique. Hopefully firebase would be added in their next update scheduled for 28th of this month
