I will appreciate a good criticism of Mourinho when I see one. I see a few here and there, but a vast majority of what I see here are just knee jerk reactions to city's performances and we really should be better than that.

this isn't the case of 1 and 0.
That one isn't coming here to shed tears and lament whenever pep performs doesn't mean that the person is celebrating being 2nd.

Pep and Mourinho are very different kinds of managers. If you use Pep's style as your benchmark for your validation of Mourinho, then you will end up complaining till his time at this club is over.

That Mourinho's style isn't yielding results that measure up to what pep is doing at the moment, doesn't make the style appalling.

There are a lot of other factors to consider, for anyone capable of looking beyond the surface.

grin

Seem you ain't getting it?! I'm ain't saying JM should play tikitaka Footie as Pep is doing at Man City, but my Point is; United shouldn't be given too much respect to the so called Top Teams.

Can United win the League if we keep aiming for a Point against the Top Teams?! After we conceded the first Goals against the Cityzens, United fiercely attacked and got a Goal Back.

Do you know what that tells you?! We get Players who can play attacking Football against Top Teams, but JM won't allow them to show their Capabilities.

We need to start attacking these Teams mercilessly. We need the pace of Martial, Rashford and the creativity of Mata and Pogba to destroy the stubborn Teams. Also Lukaku is useful only in the opposition Box. He's needed to be banging Goals not defending Goals.

Herrera ain't a bad Player, but he's playing to Instructions. Give them freedom to display, and they gonna be outstanding.

On a more serious note though, I don't approve of segregation of any kind. Everyone is entitled to his or her own views. It is left for whoever disagrees to correct the supposedly 'not so knowledgeable' views with facts and superior logic in a healthy debate.
Something elampiro tries to do sometimes but will end up wearing everyone down in the process grin

I really would have loved to engage a lot of people here but time isn't a resource that I happen to have plenty of.

Except of course in the case of a few exceptional cases like hensbrain.

I agree with you that we need to get results against the big sides.

Honestly I may be tempted to.
But one cannot help being astounded by the way we judge people unfairly and without patience and understanding, life is all about dynamism. Well just like you said opinions MUST defer. Believe me there is no any sort of segregation. Waht my responses to dayo yesterday you will notice I never wanted to dance to his attempt to troll subtly, response to united fans is to plead for their understanding.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by PietroRico(m): 12:10pm On Dec 17, 2017
There are two ways to bypass the high press of city.
Pass your way through it or go route 1.

I think we can all forgive Mourinho for not choosing to go with the more attractive option, with smalling, Rojo and Valencia in defence.

Spurs tried to and got disgraced and their manager opened his dirty mouth to say they at least tried. That's not the kind of mentality I want from the person managing my club.
They have much better ball players in their defence

Pep had a game plan, Mourinho had a game plan and if Lukaku didn't decide to drop a 0/10 performance that day, who knows.. the story would have been different.

When talking about performance against big sides, we shouldn't lose track of context.

We can all come now the approach should have been this or that, but there are no guarantees.

Personally I think both mangers showed themselves more respect that needed.

Pep could have continued to attack, even with Fernandinho in defence and would probably have gotten a bigger margin, but he tightened up a bit and resulted to some of the best time wasting techniques I've seen in a long time grin
For probably the 1st time ever, I was proud of baldiola.

What if it were during fergie's reign when we just won the league in 2003, and from then on to 2006 before the world cup, United were in tatters. First the Arsenals invincibles and then the Jose s well oiled Chelsea machine. Didnt it get better, didn't we win league 3 in a row? And appeared in UCL 3 times in 4 years? Abeg my people make una chill abeg

Personally I think the title race is over. Kudos to that bald prick.
We should be looking to cement the 2nd spot or worse case scenario finish somewhere inside top 4 while managing to pick one or 2 cups along the way. I cannot complain about that.

Planning towards next season in terms of offloading deadwood and upgrading certain positions should start now, even from January.

The usual crying ofcourse. and considering festive fixtures is usually just about the points, form and quality dont usually count mostly determination, the game may go either way and no hard feelings .I just pray we take any kind of win and welcome pogba in our next game.

City has played 18 games and lost just 2 points, and a team that finished 6th last season and competed in Europa is 2nd, and you people are lapping onto trolls to hate on his own team, which have been constantly improving from last season, well I know real trolls like dayo, how about "fantrolls"? Hmmn

Men! Na waka pass sure pass! Some people don't realize that the right signing in january or even the return of guys like baily/pogba or even the return to form of miki can change the dynamics of this teams play! I can't believe the amount of tears I see constantly in "december?" some don't even realize that united can even win the league! I've seen 16 points whittled down even 20 points so what's with all the doom and gloom? Must united play like barca throughout the season? People no dey lose from and then regain am? Abeg make I go enjoy today game sef! Even a loss no go shake me!

Like i said earlier we mustn't win the league this season, it's not a shame to finish 2nd to a team that refuse to drop points. We will try to stay as close as possible in case of any miraculous loss of form.
And who said we can't have a go at the champions league? We are very very capable of winning it. And then build for next season, offloading deadwoods and those players stealing living and never want to spill blood for the team.

Since around 2007 I stopped arguing with arsenal fans, their only usefulness is to do a hatchet job for us by taking points off our close rivals, and they do it Well, and they usually give us our usual 3 points against them. Imagine a fan that his Manager has won against Mourinho just once in over 13 years is trolling mourinho. Wonders shall never end!

It seems Arsenil want to consolidate on their 4th place trophy this season. They better allow Burnley to progress, after all they have been disgracing EPL for almost 20 years now giving raumdeuter and co points to troll EPL.

To win the UCL you have to play the best. Chelsea beat Liverpool home & away in 2005 and won the league by a record points, but were eliminated by pool enroute the Istanbul miracle. Same happened the previous year when Arsenal went unbeaten beating Chelsea home and away, and also knocking them out of the FS cup at Stanford bridge but a Wayne bridge 87th goal knocked the gunners out of the champions league
I reacted to the luck I saw in his post. If he had said he wants us to meet them so we can come at them as wounded lions and deserve our victory, not hoping for them to have a bad and we ride our luck

have you watched d current barca? that team is finished, bayern dominated possession against psg at d parc d Paris, but quote this anywhere,if any of them meets pep, city would average a 60% possession
Same Pep that adopted a tad cautious approach with Bayern against Barcelona? If Barcelona play to their potential, I doubt any team can match them especially with Dembele coming back and Suarez gradually hitting form...
Talking about PSG, when fully fit, City will struggle to contain them. I still think City are a level below the top dogs

Wetin be this? City where already tearing Liverpool apart before the red card. You mean last season? Didnt Chelsea beat city with counter attack last season? What happened this season? Nna eeh some people sef
Are you saying the red card didn't have an impact cos at 1 vs 0, Liverpool always had a chance to come back in...
And talking about last season, Spurs beat City convincingly compared to Chelsea who rode their luck throughout the game.
