This is a Catholic nun and a Barrister, she obeyed the Law and was called to Bar. What is so hard for someone who intentionally disobeyed the Law just to be heard. She lacks character and should not be even listened to. If you can dis obey the Law government your chosen career, I wonder what become of her in the future. Kwara muslim spotted. 5 Likes

smoy:Complete illiterate. You should v chosen Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo as your official language. I know you ll think English is a Christian language. Your MURIC boss whose reasoning fails whenever it's a religious issue even argued for more public holidays for Muslims. He even backed the arrogant Afusa girl. No blueprint, just religious controversy. Like say some of you are cursed! 1 Like |

When God created you beautifully, why will the same God tell you to cover your beauty? Can we help ourselves to some logic and see such religious contraptions as written scripts for a drama. BenzEne1: 1 Like |

The hijab she wore was moderate, if they didn't have hidden motives, they could have allowed her have her way. Hijab is very sacred to a practicing female Muslim, especially in public, this is a very serious issue that shouldn't be swept under the carpet, the Nigerian constitution guaranteed freedom of faith, and the last time I checked, no any institution dress code is above our constitution. |

Something that baffles me is how thousands of Muslim women passed through the NLS. Some of the people that are disturbing for hijab everywhere are the ones that will discard it tie huge gele for weddings. But just because it is now an us vs we thing now, they are up in arms. Waiting for when they'll complain about the army and police and how they don't allow their men keep beards or how their women are not allowed to wear hijab. 2 Likes |

The next thing is to protest and demand for full face mask. This is a non issue as far am concerned, she should rather use the knowledge acquired to better the legal system of the land. Hypocrisy of of the highest level, she must have decided to study law for this purpose. With people like this, how can we move forward as a nation? 1 Like |

Most Chriatians are selfish fools that'll rather betray and sell the future of their Children and unborn Generation to moslems in the name of maintaining a non-existent peace. Judgement of the CREATOR of all and Thunder shall destroy every selfcentred Christian that has cowardly refused to fight to secure the future of their unborn Generation. GOD Bless Donald Trump, he knows you can't use peace to tackle moslems, if Israel had not been giving them back their wickedness and distructions, they would have wiped out the Hebrews from Earth by now. No matter how holy u claimed to be, the Book of Revelation 21:8 makes it very clear that "the cowardly fearful Christians would have their place in Hell Fire" They shall be roasted to ashes. 5 Likes |

Balderdash! I'm not surprised, though! In the hay days of UNILORIN, before the religious bigots took over the administration of the once famous citadel of learning (famous in learning and character; famous in sound education ); you wouldn't find a bigoted product like this graduating from the university. I was in UNILORIN as an undergraduate in the 90s. Later I went back for another programme in the early 2000s, I was embarrassed to see how some bigoted students were treating other students of the same university. Usually, those bigoted male students used would wear far above the ankle trousers, unkempt beards, while the female folks would wear hijab. You wouldn't believe these unkempt bigots would be harassing some other students for wearing what they called scanty dresses! Though this deviant tendency has always been with them for ages. But before the ridiculous, unfortunate exit of the noble forefathers of the once great institution in the early 2000s, the authority was able to keep them in check. I remember, still in the 90s, there was a physics examination; and the lecturer, one Professor Aro, then; while ensuring that no students brought in any incriminating items into the examination hall, instructed all the students to remove their caps. While everybody removed their face caps and all that, a few bigoted Muslim students refused. And the man insisted everybody removed his cap. You wouldn't believe those deluded folks ran to their mosque chatting all manners of Arabic slangs, and mobilized some of their followers to disrupt the examination. It took the the effort of the school authority before normalcy could be restored to campus. UNILORIN has always been plagued with such products. But the people in authority then were able to curtail their excesses. But now, anything goes! 3 Likes |

wirinet:This is the only sensible proposition against her move I've seen here. Especially when one looks at your first sentence and disregards the garbled supporting statements that followed. Yes, secularism does not involve imposing your religious expression on others. She's guilty of that point by turning up at an event with clearly stated extant rules and willingly flouting it in the first place. However, that point ceases to gain grounds the moment she wasn't allowed into the hall, after all the drama that ensued. But, this wouldn't be news if she didn't go against the established dress code, Would it? I agree that she should have waited till after protracted diversity negotiations have been finalised , but are we sure this would gain the desired momentum minding the snail paced legal process evident in Nigeria? In fact, I bet the the young lady fears being haunted by the possibility of having to dress in an apparel she's never gonna feel complete in all the productive years of her life hence this well staged move. Indeed, her hope of getting liberated from the shackles of having to deal with a dress code she is evidently not comfortable with would have been too slim if she had opted to go through due process. But frankly speaking, what could be more enslaving than not being comfortable in your own shell? What could be more agonising? Conclusively, I need 10examples of what could be more secular and democratic than being free to voice out ones disgust for the status quo without the fear of being booed and humiliated like would barbarians? |
