I bought this TV. But discovered on delivery that it has some line bands on the right hand side. Also the images on that right side are darker.
I have told acunon and sent him the following pics i will upload here; but he said he can neither see the line bands on the right side of the screen nor notice that the right side of the screen is darker than the left side. Or the left side of the screen is brighter than the right side.
Acunon said i should zoom and snap so he can see the lines clearly.
I will do that, but before then, Nairalanders pls see the following pics and notice the line bands and darker right hand image. So I'm sure I'm not just complaining too much.

Pls acunon dont be angry does that mean that the used led/lcd are better than that of new ones. pls can you explain the one that is beter between the new ones and old in price, durability etc. Thanks

It is not about been better, it's about price and availability of spare parts. The new one are mostly from Korea and uses some parts which are a little different from the used ones(London and Australia). Though the Used one from Europe are stronger and durable too.

I am not sure he actually own the TV's, I think he source for the ones that are available in the market @alaba from his colleagues and post it here for people to see. Though he is doing a good job, but I will advice people to go there and meet with him, check for the tv you want to buy and carry go yourself or handover to the courier service yourself and pay acunon for his service in negotiation of price.

All this stories are getting too much and pains the heart. Money no easy to get this days

The prices of the new are way more than the price of the used. Though the market is now scattered with fake and imitation products with cheap prices which people would compare my price with thinking mine is high not knowing its China. But an original Korean made product is way expensive than the London used one

Reason why London used is better than the Korean used is limited spare parts of the Korean products, like I said above there is a slight difference between the spare parts as there models are a little different.

I and acunon reached an agreement.
He promised reselling the TV and gave me a gaurantee of replacing the TV if the issue degenerates before it's resold as it's not an obvious fault.
Of course, i'm not ready to manage the TV, as i had no knowledge of it before purchase (as the fault wasn't captured in the price; money no easy these days).
I told him i will risk accepting his promise. But he ASSURED me not to fret.
So between now and a few months i will keep custody of the TV while i await his update.
And I will further update Nairalanders on this.
Acunon is HONESTLY trying in being SINCERE but he needs to try more.

LESSON I LEARNT:
The best bargain is to physically examine the TV before striking a deal.

You came to my shop to buy a 42" LG Smart TV and after several hours testing the tv front and back up and down and even after giving you a very low price which wasnt favorable to me at all which I did due to the far distance you came from at after that, you are telling me that there is defect on the casing and the screen

Let me ask you these questions

During your overall inspection, did you not notice the scratch on the bezel?

Did I force you to buy that TV?

Did you point out to me about the scratches and I pushed you to take the TV?

After these, I keep wondering why you feel that you where cheated. I wound not blame you, I would blame my self for selling it at that price if only I left without selling at that price I don't think this will arise. I will stop to reply your chat....

Although you are right to some extent here, which I admit...But how do you describe testing up and down, front and back? A tv that you put on a stand on the floor, how obvious will the problem I mentioned be easily discovered?


The price point is the biggest lie you've ever told because I asked you before coming, if not I would not have left my house in the first place or have you forgotten that I was on my way out of your shop before your boy called me back when you changed the price?

I will describe the whole issue as what is obtained in Lagos traffic when the seller will refuse to agree to your price while there is a standstill and will then agree when the traffic starts moving at a time when you are ready to move. All through my time, it was argument over price and I have even accepted to leave because changing price during payment to me is not pure. Or did you include that I only carried the TV when we reached the junction and you were the one carrying it all along? Attached is the picture of the issue which I discovered when I got home and checked properly under bright light on a elevated position on the wall. I will leave the rest to your customers and those about to enter it to judge
