Am looking at buying xiaomi redmi 4x. Can you say what you about the phone. The pros and cons. Thanks

Gptech:

Only cons are you can't change notification light from white, and navigation buttons don't light up. All others are pros, from battery to processor to battery, to looks to build, to camera to display kiss.

But if you are developer rom...
Notification light is all good

I know about the process. I have been using both ntel and Swift 4g but since I updated to Miui 8.5.3.0, the 4G appears and disappears almost immediately

Hello House,

I need help. I have a redmi 3 pro which I bought earlier this year having read, such great reviews about it on this thread.

I must say that the first few months with this phone was inexplicable bliss. Then just about a month ago, the honeymoon ended as I started experiencing some drawbacks.
Th first problem was that just out of nowhere the phone refused to charge while still on. I changed cables, chargers to no avail. Immediately I put it off and plugged it again, it started charging all over again. It is still in this state till date so I only get to charge it at night. Luckily that charge takes a full day which is fair enough. What could have gone wrong?

The second problem that showed up was the screen. At exactly the middle (horizontal) the screen does not respond to touch at all. So if you have to anything you type that requires a middle positioned alphabet then you are completely lost as there is no response. Is there anything that I can do to correct this issue short of changing the scree?

Thirdly, I noticed that the phone now goes off by itself and then immediately comes on again. So we have a consistent rebooting going on during the day in the course of my activities. You can also notice that when it is charging (when off) it still flicks on and stops at the point where it shows the MI logo and then goes off again. Can I get some help here please?

I need someone to advise. I still believe the Xiaomi brand is a good way to go. but I need to know if anyone has experienced this before and how we can go about it.

Thanks.

Well, you would need to have the phone checked

A partial contact issue on one of the integrated circuits is the culprit

Though you refused to tell us , the nature of accident you were involved in earlier in the year, you would need to purchase a new LCD+ Digitizer assembly

Don't try to be smart by replacing the digitizer

I wouldn't say more Han that

Look well before placing your order for parts those Alixpress peeps have a way of confusing peeps with their description

Screenshot your rom version.

The likely culprits are :

1. Charging port
2. Screen
3. Rom

These are just stories. Miui 9 is not yet known for battery optimization. There is a custom rom based on miui on xda that had optimised battery for this device.

I think that's the one screenshot above

Screenshot your rom version and battery usage stats.

Most persons who have used miui 8 and miui 9 have attested to the improved ram and battery management
