The development in Ogun has really exposed some people's asses The same industries and firms that contributed to the development of Lagos are the same industries setting up shop in Ogun state. Pigs used to tell us that Lagos revenue comes from taxes collected in the port and in the market yet, lagos doesn't earn from port revenues. everything goes to the FG. Ogun state has no port, and has no big market apart from the one at Kuto yet the state generates higher IGR than all their potorpotor jungles combined. Anambra, Enugu, Abia all have big big big markets but none of them has been able to break the 20billion mark in IGR No one would be mocking these people if they weren't chest-beating loudmouths. Nobody likes boastful people especially when that person isn't relevant. You'll only end up being mocked. 8 Likes 1 Share |

what folks don't know is that it's the same present finance minister when she was commissioner of finance in ogun state that started these policies and incentives to investors that has made Ogun state the Nation's industrial hub. 13 Likes |

Goke7: Very very true. Kemi really tried for Ogun. If only the idiots constituting the cabal in abuja had allowed buhari to give her the same kind of freedom that OBJ gave Okonjo Iwealla, Nigeria's economy might have been a bit different. 6 Likes |

I don't like the word "Losing". It has a negative connotation to it. This new trend is not a lose-gain occurrence, it's a gain-gain for the SW and Yorubas. Lagos is actually gaining because it's depopulating. More foreign/indigenous businesses moving to Ogun/Oyo/etc, less burden on Lagos infrastructure. 20 Likes 2 Shares |

Jaideyone: lol..most of the industries in that part of the country are the same ones that have been there for almost 2 decades. They aren't getting any fresh investments And a lot of them are folding up ecause they can't compete with the bigger ones in the SW. Ibos are in deep shytt and they don't even realize it . the fact that namadi cowlu was able to get that level of followership shows there is a red flag but delusion won't allow them realize this. In the SW, despite all the progress being made in Ogun and Lagos, we still admit there are a lot of problems. It's the other way round for those people. They swim in delusion 15 Likes |

ODVanguard:* the largest fdi in the whole south east is in anambra - sabmiller, makers of hero beer * two years ago, inbev, the makers of Budweiser, the world's leading alcoholic brand, bought over sabmiller * inbev is currently constructing an ultra modern brewery in sagamu, ogun state with an investment that is four times the worth of their plant at anambra what all these mean is that the highest Fdi in the south east is like a mushroom compared to what is obtainable in the west. all the same, I don't like it when we compare ourselves with those people; it's an insult to us. in yorubaland, our standard for industrialisation should be America and western Europe 20 Likes |
