As long as you have a degree,pgde, cie certification, trcn...whatever certification thats relevant
Apply into any of the top flight schools even if its volunteering
Most top flight do not, i repeat do not place vacancies
Its internal workings.....like a connect
If u sacked from one, the other one knows and they absorb you
Very tight chain and they pay crazily well and their remunerations are competitive too
You all know these schools grange,bridgehouse, avi-cenna, cis, bis, ais, Atlantichall,dowen, daywaterman, lekki british, greensprings, corona(inconsistent), james hope etc..... so many top flight others.....

Bro, when you work in a real international school, you would know that 13th month is not a remuneration,it is an addition of all the extra days in the 12 months minus february
Also Pension and health schemes are mandatory except you on premium health schemes ....
The remunerations there are vacations (1yr after probation...nigeria /west africa....2-3 years u go across atlantic)
In-situ trainings by seniors/admin are no remunerations except trainings off grid, you paid and a certification...that's remuneration
Car Loans and house loans are remunerations
Long service benefits
Leave bonuses
Off day / public holiday allowances if you come to work
Profit sharing benefits
Severance benefits....
Schools have gone off all the crap you guys are writing here
Schools are paying 200k, 250k, 350k, 400k,500k, 650k per month
Go talk to those bankers in lekki, ikeja some in delta, abuja and ph how much teachers in international schools are paid

Hmmm........ seems u work there..internal policy inconsistence i mean compared to what other top flight international schools offer like i mentioned...people of same level not same remunerations like i stated in my other comments .......loads of sentiment....but they pay well regardless

if it's Halifield at Maryland... working condition there is relatively OK.... salary from 70-80k Max for new teachers

If u got pgde edu from a reputable and accredited institution, cop british certifications e.g tkt,cie,caie,ecis. As the latter gets u premium while the former is for 30k to 100k schools

The core subjects (furthermaths, maths, english, english lit, sciences, ict and phe are always in demand)
Always improve on ur yourself, ur knowledge base, scrap chalk board
Learn how to present
Learn how to talk less in class
Learn how students can do 90% while u do 10%
Remember in the classroom, it is the students' paid time and not urs. Some wont understand this
Work on ur communication
Work on your confidence
Work on mindset
Always and always be well informed
Throw off the mantle of old tattered teacher mindset
Teaching in an international school is the gig now, you can comfortably pay a banker trust me
Improve urself daily o.....lol..except u intend to teach in govt schools or those 'uninternational' schools
