Pls help me out. I have been traveling to the US. And at some point I was eligible for drop box. So I have been renewing my Visa by drop box. But I had my baby in the US last year on a running Visa. Since I did not inform US immigration when I was renewing my Visa that I was pregnant, I had to tell the immigration officers at entry point that I was going to give birth. And they allowed me to enter when they checked and saw that I had enough money to pay for the delivery. I paid all my bills and have my zero balance. But now I want to renew my visa for the first time after giving birth, I am pregnant again so I applied for medical visa by drop box and I was invited for a follow-up interview. I don't know what to expect at the follow up interview.

Hello Bubbles123

There has been an increase in the number of follow up interviews especially for those who have given birth in the US.

Zoemummy (check page 343 of this thread) was called for follow up but hers was for finger printing if I remember correctly. She gave a detailed checklist of documents to take along with you for the interview.

I also was called for a follow up interview and my detailed transcript is on page 369... I'm not pregnant now though.

Check LI's detailed transcript(page 400) too. It's not exactly your case but it should be helpful.

All the best.

Now this is by the way... weren't you the one who wanted to know the difference between financial aid and Medicaid? And gave an interesting BA, JFK POE experience in October?

You should have applied via a face-to-face interview but now they are asking u to come for that. I hope u get d chance to explain and they have d heart to listen. Good luck!

I think you should just tell her what to expect instead of this your reply that has no basis.Everyone has his/her own circumstance and would want to explore the dropbox option if qualified.

Hi.

can't access my nairaland email so anyone with questions just has to ask it here.
You don't need an appointment to go to the hospital you need to understand that the hospital and the doctor's clinic are separate entities. you can go to the hospital as soon as possible and speak with a financial counsellor. They will give you a list of doctors who have admission priviledges there. A good number of the ob/gyn's have their clinics within the baylor complex so you can just visit them while there and find out their costs as well as if they will take you on depending on how far gone you are. you can then finalise with any one you choose and go back to the hospital to register.

All the best!

please i can you email me the contact details of the doctor and hosp(ladeajayi@yahoo.com)

Hi uptown17,

A couple of people have given birth in New Jersey. It is a small state so I guess anywhere will be accessible from Newark (please others should correct me if I am wrong). Instead of checking for Newark... You may want to check for those who have birthed in New Jersey.

I'm not a VO who denies or approves. Not even the one who asked her for an interview despite the Dropbox qualifications and usage. So take ur talk to the VO here. What to expect is either approval or denial. Are u angry over sth from somewhere?

I can still remember sb opted for an interview despite Dropbox qualifications, just to clear out stuff.
