Scan the vehicle...could be transmission(Solenoid), Idle air control valve, fuel system issue...etc

I am in lokoja. I dont even know any good mechanic around here

I will look for someone to come and scan the vehicle for me. Just that i font even know this place too well.

The car is presently parked, i cant even use it anymore, serioys loss of power and engine forcing itself to work. I dont want to damage anything, so i parked it down

The mechanics here dont seem to know anything, i just tire for this town, i miss lagos badly

Try to ask around. I would have been able to recommend one if you were in Lagos or Ilorin.

Alternatively, you can perform rudimentary scan with a portable scanner and an Android phone if you are a little tech savvy. The scanners are now cheap & I believe you can get one delivered to you quickly.

When ur fuel level is low buy injector cleaner or thinner and pour inside ur fuel tank.dis may clean clogged injector. call 0 8 0 3 5 0 6 8 4 4 0

Don't know if you are good are self diagnostics without a scanner but from the little you have said. Please answer these questions.
a) Have you checked the level of your transmission oil? Also check the colour if there are particles. When last did you service your transmission and which oil did you use?

b) Check your air flow apartment for leaks and also clean the filter if necessary. Then couple back. Make sure its fastened tightly.

c) Also you may need to get a mechanic to clean your intake with injector cleaner when the engine is off. Dismantle if possible. I do that to my V6 air intake.

Give feedback/responses pending the time you get a diagnostic scanner to use.

I have a serious issue with my 2004 toyota camry. The stalling is out of this world especially when climbing the slightest hill. I dare not even try to overtake except in a slope. My engine revs high when started in the morning till after 2 minutes before dropping down, at times it revs by itself without even raising it. This doesnt even bother me as much as the sluggish movement does. The annoying part is that drivers behind you will be insulting you as if you are high or you dont know how to drive, they wont understand that your car has problems.

Could it be a transmission problem? Engine problem Sensor problrm?

I experienced a similar issue sometimes ago with my 1998 Camry. It's very annoying. Even my regular mechanic couldn't detect the fault until I took it to a mechanic village somewhere here in my axis. The mechanic started the engine of the car, troutle it and listened to the sound. And concluded that the exhaust system was blocked. He called a Panel Beater to remove the exhaust, took it [s][/s]to an electrical welding man who cut somewhere on the exhaust an removed something that looked like a segmented pieces of iron zinc, welded the place back. The exhaust was mounted back, and the sound became normal with my car now firing from all cylinders.

Also check Ur fuel filter, maybe be too dusty n not allow fuel to move in

Yes in neutral it does rev well but while on park from cold start it revs too high and even auto revs for close to a minute before it stabilizes

Guys, i later discovered a very big cut on the throttle inlet holse, meaning that there has being a massive loss of air, i ve tried gumming it but there is still leak though not as much as before so i drove the car and surprisingly the the picked ooo and driving well, i am now looking to buy new assembly of air filter casing with the trothle holse, wanna replace everything because i dont know where the other leakage is coming from. I hear wistling sound now, meaning their is a leak somewhere.

I have also observed that my gear takes almost forever to change, so im consideeing buying a new auto transmission for my car. Anyone knows how much i should be looking at?

Don't change your transmission without first fixing all engine performance issues.

Second, you need to confirm if the delayed shifts is a command issue. I mean, is the gear doing what the computer is commanding, or has it got a mind of its own. If you change your gear without verifying this, you may have wasted your money and time.
