MicheyJ1: A marriage is between a man and woman. That your line is very stale.. Many went ahead and married, their families adjusted later. Nothing happened Your success and your failure lie in ur own hands.. 10 Likes |

Biko tell the two love birds to each find their partners go front. It is not worth it doing two against the world...let them move off each other. May God bless them with wonderful people. It is well. |

munas: If the gals character is really good then the parents have no case! Unless u want them to run ur life forever then fine give in to whatever dey say bt they will continue to meddle in ur affairs most likely. While being a rebel here wud be a very good option i wud advice him not to rush bt look into wat his parents are saying 1st just incase he missed smtn they are seeing bt if none he will have to take his time to devise a way to make his parents come arrnd. There are ways to try and if after trying every said means and dey are unduly adamant he can go on with his chioce bt I think d parents will give in seeing he has made necessary effort to please them bt can't let a good gal go for flimsy reasons. He can involve the church priest also I have a friend from a prominent yoruba family married a calabar gal he met in london. Parents resisted u can only imagine bt at the end love conquered, parents accepted and they got 2kids now. Also a childhood frnd igbo catholic gal and she married a muslim father was a knight it was like world war 2 repeating itself bt eventually they came arrd cos the had no choice 2 Likes |

The mother is talking from experience.,bad experience I suppose. The guy must have heard the woman complain about Anambra ladies, hence her stand. Let the guy sit her mother down, deduce the reason behind her stand and convince her,not all ladies from that side are bad, examples he might have researched upon can be used to make her have a second thought. It can happen to anyone, imagine you had a bad experience with folks from a region,to you, they are all bad because of that sole attitude. An Egba man will say, never, my son cannot marry an Ijebu woman vice versa. Why? One party sees the other has fetish while the other sees their women has promiscious so,it takes two to tangle. In essence, heart to heart talk will resolve the issue. 1 Like |

The parents are overbearing. So people are still tribalistic? What is education and enlightenment for?.The blessings of the parents are important but they are not the one's marrying so why the problem, they should bless them and let the marriage hold and not hide under the sentiments of tribalism.Religion and tribalism should not divide us. 2 Likes |

tell your friend to remind his dad and mom that people say edo people sabi do witchcraft and that they fly and that abia people dey do rituals, 419 and drugs. Yet that didn't stop them from getting married. Why should his case be different? If this doesn't work, then he should stay 5yrs without talking about marriage. Na the parents go dey beg am to marry anybody. But the problem with this advice is that the girl would ve married someone else 4 Likes |

Consult the gods and be careful Our ancestors are wise when its come to things like this make sure you carry your brain with you...love is different from marriage even though love lead to marriage ... After marriage living together in peace is another level After giving birth ....a lot of things follow 3 Likes 1 Share |
