Please house i have a question o...for those of us applying for the summer semester 2018. Should we start booking our visa appointment even though we dont have admission letter with the hope that by the time we are booked we would have gotten our admission letter.

I dont want to have to defer my admission. Pls kindly reply

I just filled an online application for RURH UNIVERSITAT BOCHUM and i saw the as what to enclose in my package "please enclose a self-addressed DIN/C4 return envelope post-paid with €1.45 for domestic mail delivery. For international mail delivery the postage fee is €1.50 alternatively you can enclose internatiknal reply coupons." Please what does this mean people wey don apply for bochum or wey dey bochum how una take do am ?

Guys,please I want to ask,i have been following this thread for long now..contrary to popular belief that the minimum passing grade of our grading system here in nigeria is 1.0, it seems Uni-assist is using 2.0,pls is dis true? It seems our government has changed it to 2.0 and it is reflecting on anabin site..pls,i want to ask,how many of we guys have gotten their documens evaluated by uni-assist,did they use 2.0 as the minimum passing grade?

Mine was evaluated few weeks ago by Uni-assist using 1.0 as the minimum and 5.0 as the maximum. I already have two admission letters with it, and I'm waiting for the last school to respond. I have also booked visa appointment already. Contact uni-assist if you have any issue with their evaluation. But you know the formula, so do your own calculation first and if there is any discrepancies,contact them.

Am also applying to ruhr. You should get a contact in germany you will send your docs to. He or she will buy a stamp of 1.45 euro and post it to d school

Applied to: Flensburg university of applied science - masters in Wind Engineering, University of Applied science Hochschule Dusseldorf - masters in Mechanical Engineering, University of Applied science Hochschule Stralsund - Masters in Simulation and System Design. Admitted: University of Applied science Hochschule Stralsund -masters in simulation and system design, University of applied science flensburg - masters in wind engineering. I'm awaiting Dusseldorf - masters in Mechanical engineering. PROFILE: B. Eng Mechanical Engineering ,CGPA = 3.84, uni-assist evaluation = 1.8. Graduated 2006 , 7 years working experience ( 3 years on mechanical designs using FEA tools + 4 years as Project Engineer ) in reputable oil and gas EPC company. No IELTS nor TOEFL, I used English proficiency certificate . DOWNSIDE : graduated 11 years ago .

It will be difficult for you to gain admission as school may request you to apply with German certificate of at least B1 for you to be able to follow lectures in German language. Even if you manage to scale the admission, you may not be successful in enrollment as school will insist you have it. Again, even if you are admitted, you may not find it easy to get visa as the visa consulate will ask you if your courses are taught in German or English. If your answer is that both languages are required, then the consulate may ask you to submit your German language certificate or quickly test your knowledge of German written and verbal which you cannot pass. The way forward is apply for English taught courses only, or spend at least 1 year to learn German to B1 before reapplying.

This is wrong... Our minimum cgpa is not 1.0, it depends on the school like in my school is 1.5 ..so check your transcript to be sure..

Uni assist look at your transcript convert using ur school minimum cgpa..

And minimum cgpa simply mean *PASS* NOT FAIL..

he is talking about the least grade u can get before u are seen as passed a course here in nigeria and its uniform which is E =1 check your transcript and the highest is A=5 they dont car about tour cgpa grading all the want is does to information then you own cgpa so they can do there convertion ok

Well, it all boils down to determination.... If your goal is to apply for a course taught bilingually ,i would advice you to start learning GERMAN NOW....However, you will need a German language certificate that proves you can follow lectures in German....

Search for videos like "learn German with jenny" , "learn German with Ania" on YOUTUBE....

Your aim should be to get to at least B1 level...After which , you take an exam at the Goethe Institute to test your proficiency... You will be given a certificate afterwards.... THAT CERTIFICATE WILL GO PLACES....

Learning the German language is the easiest and fastest way to opening tremendous opportunities in Germany...
