I do not have much to say about the undergrad admissions, however, as regards your younger sister who just finished from OAU, she has exciting prospects.
If she has decent research experience, her best bet is to apply for a direct PhD. She needs a compelling SOP and GRE score within the 80% percentile. She can also apply for Master's and get lucky. Check out these profiles Glowrie22, Ndawe.

so sorry bro... me to have been denied twice in November... my advice to you is to do alot of soul searching I.e take standardized test gre if not for the admission purpose but for the interview. my last Vo wanted to grant me the visa but because of standardized test she refused me. please don't relent and try to step up your game!!!! I wish you the very best

I left my zero star hotel by 5am, got to the embassy by past 6.
Fast forward to the interview.
I was interviewed by the bearded (nice) guy in window 1. The man he interviewed before me came with what looked like a map. The dude practically did a presentation, I wasn't surprised his visa approved.

Vo: Good morning
Me: good morning, how are you today? ( he responds accordingly)

ME : Mcb is a branch of Biology that studies microorganisms and their relationship with their environment ( I was aware this wasn't a standard definition,but it was the best I could do to prevent me from stammering or keeping quiet).
(Funny thing is that during my responses I realized I had a Guardiola in me; I was gesticulating. I was surprised myself too. In between questions I would ask myself "hope I don't appear desperate?"

Me: no... Then I saw him pull my passport closer to him and reached for the white paper. The normal pick up your passport at the circled location. I wished him a merry Christmas, he responded. I must say the guy was quite easy to talk to.
