Hello guys,

A close pal just booked his ticket from UK to Lagos for holidays.
He went to book at London heathrow airport at the Turk!sh airlines ticket desk and the airline representative who booked his ticket told him only first and last name was needed on the ticket even though he has middle name on his passport.

He got back and just to be sure called Turkish airlines and the call center people said he has to have his middle name included and he will need to cancel and buy another ticket after paying over 1000 pounds which is not possible for him.

Personally i have not flown with Turkish before and i have never had an issue with other airlines using just my first and last names to buy a ticket so i dont have an answer for him.

Please those of you who have flown Turkush airlines did you include your middle name as listed on your passport on your ticket?
Because now my guy is seriously stressed.

So nobody has travelled with turkish airlines here to be able to answer this question?

Most airline require just your first and last name,i guess the customer care person he called is a learner or was probably just recruited,if at the sales point they told him just the first and last name,why worry then,i dey like this kind thing,i make sure i look at the name on the person at the counters shirt,so if gbege come,i am rest assured i will be compensated if they try any rubbish,since its the u.k,they will end up giving me business class if they make any errors.........let him go and pack his luggage,no wahala
Even when u have error on your name,u will never be required to buy a new ticket,u might jut be fined some cash,not complete new ticket,use to be a travel consultant,and if ure booking with!RWANDAIR,SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS,ARIK,TURKISH AIRLINE and some few others you wont find a place for middlename on thier website when booking.

I just recently flew Turkish Airlines. My flight ticket bore only my first and last names. I was not given any problem. Tell your friend not to bother himself. Okay?

Yes I do. I actually have two middle names listed on my passport along with my first and last name. Your friend will be fine. Trust me.
