She exaggerated a bit in the story. I know how emotional she will be but she needs to calm down and take heart. Losing a loved one is painful. Doctors are not demons, I have worked and still working with a lot of them . People can overreact when they lose a loved one, I remembered one who slapped one of my colleagues that she was chewing gum and laughing while his relative was under emergency case. We have to alert security. He later cooled down by force and apologized He overreacted due to emotion and when one is emotional, we judge wrongly. Take heart dear 3 Likes |

God just help any doctor that will act this way if I find myself in any hospital.. Police needs to start arresting doctors and nurses who neglect patients to die. |

DisGuy: I agree with you but it's still part of the Nigerian factor. The govt is not funding and regulating the healthcare sector properly. Most of the blame should go to the Nigerian govt and system. |

dingbang:I feel there is still more to this story , what kind of hospital leaves the emergency to probably house officers alone , no medical officer , no resident, that is terrible. Another narrative is that the doctors obtained cash from them , I find that difficult to believe , the money goes to the hospital, so why will a doc demand cash from u when its not a private facility. I understand she is saddened with her friend's death but we need to find out d truth before crucifying the doctors. 5 Likes |

Our women (mothers) are to blame. Just borning idiots left right and centre, and the whole country is full of poverty striken morons that can never do right. Instead of life of ease and growth, the country is choked up with half witted pathetic deprived human beings who can never ever do right. A lot of our problems would be solve if we stop reproducing. Rip biafran girl. |

How will Biafra solve this kind of problem. The same way some of us sabotaged the Biafra project for the love of money, is how we have succeeded to sabotage every institution in our land. Even institutions that are supposed to save our lives. This is even an institution named after the Biafra hero Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. 1 Like |

zoba88: Let Nigerians continue to lambast the few quack doctors they have left, while they hail the looters that put the hospitals in the mess they are. By this time 2025 I can assure you they'll be no single doctor practising in Nigeria. I can swear on my life....shebi we told you guys the consequences of not giving a damn about your doctors, you'll rather prefer to blackmail us when we fight for our rights through strike saying we're evil people. Don't worry we'll leave you guys in good hands when we're all gone and we'll see who you'll blame next....I'm sure you still won't blame the polithiefcians even if they're the ones left, you'll find a way of absolving them of any blame and put the blame on yourself instead. Cursed and confused Nigerian Patients. 2 Likes 1 Share |

NLmember: So you think it's wrong to check for reference right? You think practically caring for patients is like writing exams where you shouldn't check the books hun? Don't worry the stvpid countries like the UK & USA that are recruiting the Foolish half baked clowns will continue increasing while your leaders will continue coming to the UK for treatment by the same foolish Nigerian doctors. There are enough foreign medical graduates trained in substandard schools in eastern Europe coming back to buy the Nigerian licence we're so eager to dump...they'll treat you guys well... Just Kontinuu. I laugh and shake my head for Nigerians at the same time. I swear 2025 is the year Nigerians will feel the heat the most! Una go look for doctor taya una no go see....Maybe na den una eye go clear to know who una suppose blame. For now keep it up! We're the foooolish Nigerian Doctors! Proud to be one! 3 Likes |

Haaaaa painful. It's quite unfortunate that the said lady died. The problem with this reporter is that she failed to reason well because she was too emotional. How would a Doctor collect money for card? How would a Doctor be rejoicing because a patient died? How would a teaching hospital being manned by students? How would doctors wrap up the corpse? How would a Doctor be asking a relative of an emergency case out? How would you claimed you provided everything the doctor needed and still did nothing to save the patient? Even in some private hospitals doctors don't charge you as some other staff do that. All these are not doctors jobs. You added a lot to this your story. You are too biased Even if the hospital has no oxygen, would you blame doctors for that and absolve the government? Blame the government most who just named any building teaching hospital to gain politically, never equipped with staff and tools. Blame the government who asked them to generate income at the expense of lives. ie, they must collect money before treating patient. Not all emergency cases can be saved by doctors because a lot of patients would have been killing themselves for long without seeking medical help until it becomes emergency. You don't even know if they're doctors you just described everyone you saw that day as doctors. It is not nice to lose anybody to death no matter what. But the kind of ailment that kills fast or health condition that deteriorates faster like that needs to be known. If postmortem is done, you will be shocked at what killed the said lady. May God comfort you sister May her soul rest in peace. 3 Likes |
