samhay:My thread was about comparing the financial status of people living in both countries in regards to the kind of work they do. But some people came and derail the whole thing so it become necessary for me to let them know they are not the only mad people on earth. There was never a time I compared the infrastructural development and basic means of survival of both countries but I decided to give some proud people here a bloody nose by further revealing that by America standard their infrastructure is not all that, this I did with concrete evidence. It is widely known that America use the word "decay" to describe what have become of their infrastructure. Most are even predicting America will become a third world country within 20 yrs. Before you shout conspiracy theory, please be informed that the link below is from a very high ranking official during the Ronald Reagan's presidency https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2015/10/29/us-on-road-to-third-world-paul-craig-roberts/ 2 Likes 1 Share |

timesup234: Bros or Sis, there is a crippling fuel scarcity in Naija now, I hope you are aware. As the most "patriotic " naija man, this is where we need you most. Use this energy you have that you are using to fight America to fight Abuja instead, so that they do the right thing for us. The fuel scarcity is killing Nigeria not America so live America alone. Face your own problems and forget about America. 10 Likes |

Alikote: Just for your info. A Federal civil servant in Nigeria is entitled to 2yrs maximum PAID study leave, any course longer than 2yrs is without pay though you are entitled to your promotions. First rule in Nigeria, don't be quick to believe everything people say. And how on earth does a Civil servant justly have 120,000 dollars. He must have "other sources". Abeg try not to drag me into the argument, just volunteering verifiable information. Thank you. |

Alikote:Broke, lazy and frustrated people are blind to what is happening around them. They cant see even in midst of success. Like that dude said in the video i posted "I know so many people in Nigeria who can afford to buy 30 of my friends living in America". These people think say na melon we dey break down here. I get tired of counting multi millionaires on every street in Nigeria. But according to all dis diasporans na only politicans dey make am here. Politicians are not even up to one percent of peoole making it here. Funny bunch of people with their failed reasoning |

Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by saucepan: 7:48am On Dec 23, 2017 |
Alikote: O di kwa egwu. Pls how much do you think the President and his Vice who are the highest paid civil servant earn. You are so "informed" in a very weird way. Like I said don't believe everything you are told. Even if a Civil servant earns as you said there are some sums we are not ideally expected to have cause we are meant to have expenses. My brother ideally civil service should not make one a millionaire rather the corruption in civil service is what produces millionaire s. The simple truth is that we have our values twisted as a nation if not this argument that has gone on for so long wouldn't have. Not all of us want to be multi millionaires. I am not doing badly in Nigeria but I don't understand the need for all my struggles to pay school fees etc. So if someone like me travels out to a mote organized society where there is less hustle and strife people like you might call me a failure. At the end we all want different things out of life. So my brother to each his own. By the way I believe completely in Nigeria no matter how rich I am in another mans country I will always have limitations but here at home I have all possibilities. I can even aspire to be President. Instead of this back and forth argument which achieves nothing concrete in the end why don't you talk about opportunities our young people can tap into. As of 2010 NBS gave official statistics of those living below 1 dollar a day as 61%. There is extreme poverty in the land. The wealth circulates in the hands of a few. We the younger generation should be more interested in how to create a better Nigeria for the people coming behind. I have lived in Nigeria all along and intend to. I know my EXTREME struggles before I started finding my feet. I am a graduate of 17yrs you wouldn't want me to list all I have done all these years to survive, if the country had offered a little help like easier access to loans, lower interest rates my journey would have been less rigorous and shorter. So the question is. Do you accept the harsh realities of Nigeria: Our triumphs and our CHALLENGES..if yes what do you want to do in your own space to create a better Nigeria. You can use your knowledge and energy to start a mentoring group for young Nigerians telling them of the opportunities open for them and how to utilize them. Trust me that will be a most effective way to stop them from travelling to "America". I personally think this argument has gone on for too long, now there is a fellowership, quickly turn it into something positive like I illustrated above and posterity will thank you for it. My two kobo advice. Pls don't insult me oh! I don't do cyber war. Have a great day people. 5 Likes |

timesup234:which Nigerians can afford to buy a 1000 naira per litre? I just laugh when I see most of your comments. Shootings in Chicago, how does that concern a Nigerian hustling in America. Do you know the no of Nigerians that are kidnapped, butchered, and killed daily either for ritual or kidnapped to get ransom? 3 Likes |
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by timesup234: 11:28am On Dec 23, 2017 |
acorntree:Next to nothing. You guys blow things out of proportion. Since I was born I don't know anyone used for rituals, kidnapped etc. More than 98% of people I knew from high school almost 20 yrs ago are still alive and well. The crime rate in Nigeria is less than 0.1%. Rituals my foot! That's how they come with witches and wizards when in actual reality nobody has evidence of anyone confessing to being a witch since the existence of this country, all assumptions. People bought fuel for 500 at black market rate yesterday so they can comfortably buy for a 1000 naira. Nigerians are rich but naturally we just love to lament. |

saucepan:i agree with you but there a mix up ,the president is not the highest paid civil servant in Nigeria cos he earns around 2 million monthly he the highest when you considered people drawing up salary from the consolidated revenue account only ,but there other civil servant from revenue generate agency and are structure like private...NCC,FAAN.CBN,NSIA,SEC,NNPC,NIMASA,NPA ..the executive officer in this organisation earn over 30m annually like NCC and SEC .the chairman of firs ? cbn governor?Nlng... the new nafdac director left America as a professor to take up the appointment this are the hottest agency in Nigeria ...people relocate from America to take up appointment here. finally am not discouraging you or any one from moving to america cos i have seen UK and america Nigeria immigrant doing well with huge property portfolio in Nigeria,in fact we need more Nigerians oversea to be sending remittance to Nigeria it help our local economy ..u can make it any where Najia ,uk,us chad angola(ibo trader are doing well ) |

Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by drakeli: 2:02pm On Dec 23, 2017 |
Alikote:Let me tell you why. Most of the time, working as a government worker in Nigeria is tantamount to being paid for doing nothing because the system is full of corruption. There is no free dollar in America. But the likes of those people you mentioned above a carrying free naira with Ghana must go to the bank everyday. That’s the reason the country is backward. I will gladly leave America and come and be the chairman of NNPC if you ask me. Who no want free money. Being paid for doing nothing with no accountability. Plenty Ghana must go. 7 Likes 1 Share |

drakeli:There is no free dollar in America? Tell that to those criminal wall street bankers and their cronies. Tell it to those billionaires whose wealth comes from exploitation and theft of third world resources. Corruption? America is the most corrupt country in the world. America was built on stolen wealth! |
