kokobaba: You are just too bullish, I am also bullish about what to expect in 2018 and planning to take a 6 months overdraft facility in February or March 2018. But one needs to be extra careful as per some stocks on your list, the target prices and the duration of the investment. |

chapter one The Technical Approach to Trading and Investing Few human activities have been so exhaustively studied during the past century, from so many angles and by so many different sorts of people, as has the buying and selling of corporate securities. The rewards which the stock market holds out to those who read it right are enormous; the penalties it exacts from careless, dozing, or “unlucky” investors are calamitous. No wonder it has attracted some of the world’s most astute accountants, analysts, and researchers, along with a motley crew of eccentrics, mystics, and “hunch players,” and a multitude of just ordinary hopeful citizens.......Definition of Technical Analysis The term “technical,” in its application to the stock market, has come to have a very special meaning, quite different from its ordinary dictionary definition. It refers to the study of the action of the market itself as opposed to the study of the goods in which the market deals. The technical analyst may go even further in his claims. He may offer to interpret the chart of a stock whose name he does not know, so long as the record of trading is accurate and covers a long enough term to enable him to study its market background and habits. He may suggest that he could trade with profit in a stock knowing only its ticker symbol, completely ignorant of the company, the industry, what it manufactures or sells, or how it is capitalized. Needless to say, such practice is not recommended, but if your market technician is really experienced at his business, he could, in theory, do exactly what he claims. - Robert-Edwards-Technical-Analysis-of-Stock-Trends-9th-Ed. - 1 Like |

Coolcash1:You have a beautiful portfolio!!!. However, the most important thing is the price you bought and not how beautiful the portfolio looks. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 12:43pm On Dec 24, 2017 |
Calebbold: What price did you buy the Fidelity and DF If there is a price reversal, are you comfortable holding on and not complaining of losing money. This is very important in stock selection. After 2008 crash, plenty people had beautiful portfolio but price wasn't beautiful. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by DeRuggedProf: 12:45pm On Dec 24, 2017 |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 12:48pm On Dec 24, 2017 |
DeRuggedProf: Exactly. Those who loaded DF at 50k will be so relaxed even if prices comes down to N5. Because the margin of safety is superb!!! How about them? Can they beat their chest and say even at N5, I believe in the firm. Akuko uwa!!! (Meaning....story story) |

Think you're going nowhere in life? This is for you Someone get their degrees at the ago of 22. Some go back to college at the age of 30. Some got a job right after they graduated. Some had to wait for years before finding a truly satisfying job. Some become the CEO at a young age of 28 and got burnt out much sooner. Some started their company in their late 50s and went on to change the world. Some retire at 60. Some are just getting started at 60. Everyone you know, works in their "TIME ZONE" When you look around, you migth think some people are ahead of you and some behind you. But trust us, everyone is running their race in their own Time. So don't envy someone who's successful or don't mock someone who hasn't won yet Because they're in their time zone, just like you're in yours So, please relax, you're not too late or early, you're on time And definitely in your TIME ZONE. Donn't Forget, You're in Your Tine Zone. - Hans Zimmer 8 Likes 3 Shares |
