Our coach should start the match with paulinho..
we need his force, agility and never get tired character against a team like Madrid, especially with Madrid's mildfilders that are inferior to paulinho when it comes to force and power and Ramos and Madrid's defenders will be kind of afraid of paulinho, unlike Denis Suarez that they can overpower..

All I'm saying is that our coach should use 442 with messi and Suarez up front while iniesta and paulinho as an attacking midfielders supporting messi and Suarez..

Since the exit of Rivaldo, Barcelona has never had a free scoring midfielder like Paulinho. Paulinho is currently the highest goal scorer from midfield in La Liga.

We are talking about a guy who yesterday had more attempts @ goal than all Madrid players. He scored even after Calvajal has committed that foul.

Paulinho is not Xavi, but he's has been the best signing of the summer.

Can't you see the link-up play and understanding between Paulinho and Messi? Yesterday alone, Paulinho would have scored an hat-trick. No thanks to that Madrid keeper.

Messi was directly involved in all of those Paulinho's goal attempts.

BTW, I'm not here to discuss Paulinho vs Roberto. Both have different styles of play. When you see Roberto, remember Iniesta.

Ronaldo had countless opportunities to square a pass to benzema yesterday but he rather do a step over and flunk the ball. Maybe Madrid would have gotten a goal if he were a little less selfish.

I admire his competitiveness. When he comes against messi, he always strives to come out tops. But sometimes, that competitiveness becomes his bane.

His on-ball movements are superb, plus he's got pace and is very quick-witted, much unlike Gomez.

Although, Valverde shouldn't have started him today at RB over Semedo. That was quite the idïotic gamble (we were lucky Madrid's strikers were even more idiötic than our coach). I observed that almost all Real's threats in the first-half came from Marcelo and Ronaldo exploiting Roberto's wing, forcing Pique to over-exert himself.

Had CR7 and Benzema taken their chances, the tale would have ended very differently.


I still don't think Ernesto Valverde is a tactically sound coach. As yet, he's only a very lucky manager.

I very much agree with you on the point made off Valverde, he is only luck, infact the luckiest amongst Lucho&Guardiola, the other two were;nt too lucky with their gamble. Though I blv in due time, he'll be more tactically minded during important match as such as this.

Point 2: Right Paulinho ain't no Xavi but going by his impact so far this season I annoint him to be in barca's starting eleven every game.

Point 8: Messi might go on to have the best individual year for 2018, if he doesn't win the champions league or the world cup, no ballon dor for him.
