In a bid to boost Nigeria’s recuperating economy and create more jobs, a lot of Russian investors have signified interest in bringing their companies in the country.
The Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, Nikolay Udovichenko, made the disclosure during a press briefing with select journalists in Abuja recently.
The envoy said that these investors have already identified power, agriculture, solid mineral and education as critical sectors to venture into, adding that the Russian Federation has started planning to have a joint corporation with Nigeria.
“We are expecting more Russian companies in Nigeria starting from next year (2018) and these companies have identified areas where they have indicated interest. They are power, agriculture, solid mineral and education. Also, Russia is planning to have a joint corporation with Nigeria in order to increase their bilateral ties,” he said.

Russia's don't invest in another country. not to even talk of unstable country like Nigeria.

they only sell, if you have the money to pay, sure they will come and do the job, work, build and develop it.

they will not invest to create job in Nigeria. you pay them they deliver.

Kidnapping awaits most of them.

They will pay more ransom for their lives than profit from Nigeria

Apart from Bayelsa, Rivers and maybe Delta, how often do you hear stories of foreigners being kidnapped in other parts of the country. And who told you foreign investors even stay here lol. They will arrange everything within few days and leave.

Hope they don't change their mind, I hope instead of selling to useless politicians and heartless Nigerians PHCN should be resold to Russia, we know it'll be costlier but at least they would upgrade and ensure power is constant, same as our refineries here
