Trying to get it straight, they have accepted her certificate, yet transcript not yet sent!! Be that as it may, if you have written the ECA body about the error & they replied that it cant be changed since they have completed the process, all you need do is to attach the mail references (of all correspondences regarding the issue) to the evaluation report when uploading your degree documents post-ITA. They can easily confirm that. harmony940: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Please where did all these ideas of getting ITA before ECA come from? Over and over, it's been advised to start ECA earlier before sitting for IELTS. Let's try and remove the "get-it-quick" syndrome before someone gets 5 years ban for misrepresentation. Again, it pays to read. Folks read!! ***If you don't like what I wrote, come and beat me, am in my house... 16 Likes |

Canadianfly: You don make me fear ooo. I asked a question about removing spouse work experience in EE profile. I had already included it while creating the profile even though it added no point and I was told to remove it on the profile else I would have to provide references for it post ITA. I have already removed it from the profile. Is it correct? It wasn't specifically mentioned anywhere that is why I'm asking. |

Saintp: Lol no fear . You were advised correctly. If spouse work experience is outside Canada, no need filling it pre ITA. @ elfman, as in I'm like is this how we are now? Lol |

fantababy: @ bolded, what do you see it as? Why do you think CIC bothered to include a placeholder for date of evaluation report? If the date is irrelevant, it won't be there. Aunty Fanta, I saw the mini testimony you gave a few pages back on how far you've come and giving God glory. Only for you to get ITA without His glory? So you wan help God give you the PPR? Does He need your help by you cutting corners? Ask yourself these questions, you will know the right thing to do. 13 Likes |

First, you should have a marriage certificate as that is the basic proof of your marriage. The name on your passport wont raise a red flag as long as it was not renewed AFTER you had already done your change of name (Newspaper publication & court affidavit etc) so why dont you proceed with the change of name before EE or ITA to avoid AOR. For question 2 - they do not care whichever name you decide to use BUT whichever name you choose to proceed, get ready/ attach supporting documents of change of name, in addition, you could also tell hubby to notarise a letter that you are using his first name. I use my fathers 1st name (since birth). Even before EE started, when my mum applied for PR 11years ago (2006), despite the fact that 2 of us (siblings) were no longer her dependants, they requested she get a notarised letter from my dad that we are not bearing his surname before she was eventually given her PR & our last born who was still a dependant then left with her. In short, proof beyond reasonable doubts that you are still the same person NikyO: 1 Like |

Bro, No vex. I'll advise you chose to ignore some responses as long as you get answers to your questions. Nigeria is such a place that reading culture isn't the in-thing, you really don't need to have a reading culture or be an excellent reader to be successful, wealthy or fulfilled, you even get to pay readers as a business owner while you manage or supervise BUT that shouldn't draw us back to read when the need arises. For me, I don't care if you insult me as long as I have my seemingly foolish questions addressed. I'll rather have such insult than a denied application or a 5year ban for misrepresentation. However, I did some little reading and it has helped reduced frequency of questions. Kindly check todays post on Credential evaluation related issues, it was done by one of the senior's here, I only re-pasted it. stonecoldcafe: 1 Like |

Hi @mcstan18... You need to stop encouraging misinterpretation on here. It is wrong to get into the pool with fabricated ECA number. Anyone without an ECA result, whether being process or not, simply makes you ineligible for creating an EE profile. I advise anyone considering this option refrain from doing such and just wait until your ECA results gets to you. There is really no need to rush in this process... You getting ITA asap doesn't guaranteed your application would be processed quicker... In fact, you at risk of getting a 5 year ban. You need to be patient and take the right and required steps to achieve your goal of arrival in Canada as a PR. It's a life time plan... Take it as seriously. Merry Christmas everyone... 17 Likes |

Nothing incorrect here, we don't form our conditions/rules, its clearly stated on the official immigration website. Please check this link - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/criteria-comprehensive-ranking-system/grid.html Someone with an evaluated masters degree has more points than one with just an evaluated bachelors degree. Copying it out for you again!!! From that link, a married applicant if with masters can attain 126 point towards express entry while if with Bachelors - 112 points, if with 2 or more degrees/diploma - 119. If for a Single applicant, it is 135, 120, 128 points respectively. Do not confuse people here. Comprehending what we read, isn't it good he/she evaluates the Masters and get more points than leaving it out Na simple english here na!! Canadianfly: |

Canadianfly: lol. It's no guyman spirit sister. My former colleague who has already landed did exactly the same thing and I'm very certain he did. Only thing is that he already knew when his ECA report would be ready, as WES advised. That date didn't change, he used it and the rest is his Canadian PR history. Like I said earlier on, decline ITA if you do not know the date your report would be ready. I do not see misrepresentation in this. Worst case, you receive ECA before the estimated date which isn't a big deal on its own. Inasmuch as it's not advisable to cut corners, we can also seek for more efficient ways of achieving the same result. Especially where it's been tested and it worked. I already did same for myself and that's why I'm cool with making it public. If anyone thinks it's not worth it, they had better left it out. 1 Like |

kunmi5: Na this same way you dey argue that 25% of pension fund couldn't be used, and you posted all your links...only to be proved wrong. Lol. Na your type dey argue blindly. You posted Dupyshoo's post as a link where she clearly says evaluating MSc alone suffices for an applicant with BSc and MSc. You now added your own interpretation to mean one can evaluate both of them to get more points. How Biko? Lol Bros, abeg before you argue anything again on here and mislead folks, understand. If one has MSc and BSc: Evaluate ONLY MSc. If one has BSc, PGD, HND and/or OND: Evaluate both to claim "two or more certificates" MSc whether single or married carries more points than "two or more certificates" Hope you finally understand it, and stop misleading folks. 17 Likes |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by Canadianfly: 11:24am On Dec 26, 2017 |
mcstan18: I'll explain what is fraudulent about it. For one, if your ECA profile says your report will be ready at a future date from now....you can't create an EE profile and fill ECA evaluation with a future date. The EE system won't accept it. It will prompt you that your dates must be past or present, meaning you would have to fill in a past date to move on from that section (which is a lie, because you don't have an ECA yet = fraudulent). You get it now? This also means your former colleague lied to you as this is not possible. He must've used a past date and updated after the report came. Which is cutting corners and fraud. Yes, he got PPR....could be he had a lazy VO. You don't wanna pull this stunt and land in LVO, then have a rejection and ban. 14 Likes |

For people with the understanding of Kunmi5, New spouse means y'all are not married pre ITA. Your wedding date must be post AOR date. E.g. We shouldn't treat contrasting views as an act of war. Kindly stop refering to irrelevant past post especially when its been trashed, back-up with references, accepted by every party (EVEN ME) Further to the ECA issue in question. Dupsychoo is correct, but is it the only way possible? Even though single evaluation of Masters gives you what you want, I dont see any reason why one should leave out other degrees when you wont get charged per degree (For WES ECA though). At least for mine, I wasnt charged extra for MBA, BSc in a single evaluation. You only get charged when you update a new degree after evaluation certificate/statement has been finalised. (You might want to leave it out such if facing problems getting transcripts for lower degrees) Whats your take on this? Kindly, lets reply without flaring tempers. Its not my intention to insult, have a tussle of words or have the last say. We're all here to learn. Hoping to hear from you. Canadianfly: |

GlitteringStar, CanadianEnginee and canadianfly, please help solve my small ignorance. I'm currently confused with the whole evaluation and stuff. I have a master's degree in Engineering.. and last I checked, I saw a few professional courses listed which included pharmacy and a few others which I currently cannot remember. Initially, I thought since engineering was not highlighted I had to go with '2 or more' Now, with the ongoing debate, I'm beginning to understand that I should go with 'Masters' notwithstanding the fact that engineering wasn't listed as a professional degree. Can you please help clear my doubt. I probably misinterpreted the whole thing as I didn't want to overplay my score in self deceit. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by bbaby84(f): 12:21pm On Dec 26, 2017 |
kunmi5: Mr. Kunmi, the whole arguement stems from this reading culture that now sounds like a broken record. The notion of evaluating your highest degree is because it's sometimes takes forever to get your transcripts from Nigerian universities. Those that have Msc from a foreign Unis are advised to evaluate their masters or PHD alone as it's faster. I personally evaluated both first and Masters degree for my hubby but that's my choice. That is why you have to read so you can understand before you start dishing your own advise. Kindly stop posting long previous posts, others can go on the previous thread and read it. 4 Likes |
