dmcdad: I said we must be doing something right, if you know logic as you bandy about you will know that's is not an assertion. The dude said we dont play attractively but doesn't watch our matches, the question will now be how did he know? If he hears from people or by reading comments about united playing badly, and then jumps out to validate it without actually watching the games, then that's a ridiculously unfounded conclusion |

codedguy1: Fans should blame the manager accordingly, like the game versus city we lost due the managers naivety, and some other examples ofcourse where the manager failed, but most of the players need an iron hand to sit up, Luke Shaw for example is a huge talent, but even LVG complained of him not showing enough bottle. Jose has exiled him for some time now and rightly berated him, he is back with the right attitude and grit. Martial was was dross last season, after the same treatment he is currently our best forward. People were berating the manager for only trying to toughen Shaw and Martial, now the result is showing, Rashford needs the same. Some players don't need such motivations They are always charged up, like Valencia and Lingard they may lack quality but not motivation and grit. Nice guys like Mkhi who I rate even till now, he started the season well and suddenly regressed, the manager gave him too much of a long rope, still he did not sit up, when he was dropped ? His supporters blamed it on mourinho giving him defensive responsibilities. Some have even started blaming the manager for Rashford recent petulance, that asking him to track back is the reason for his uninspiring displays.forgetting that Rashy is still young and will get better with time, thats why i am not even pissed with his play,he is in a particular phase right now, where he will frustrate You, but will develop into a world beater later. Ronaldo at his age is not posting better numbers. My point is mourinho doesnt have the freedom to wield the axe, he is ussually blamed for every players misdemeanor. 2 Likes |

José Mourinho says ‘£300m not enough’ for Manchester United to compete José Mourinho pointed to how Manchester City have bought full-backs for the usual value of strikers and said Manchester United’s investment of close to £300m since he arrived is not enough to compete, after his side could only draw 2-2 with Burnley at Old Trafford. Although the result cut the deficit to City to 12 points after United battled back from 2-0 down at half-time, thanks to two goals from the substitute Jesse Lingard, Pep Guardiola’s side can stretch their lead to 15 if they win at Newcastle United on Wednesday night. Afterwards, Mourinho was reminded that United have dropped eight points from their past five matches and was asked whether such a gap might be unacceptable for a club of United’s stature. “One thing is a big club and another thing is a big football team. They are two different things,” he said. “We are in the second year of trying to rebuild a football team that is not one of the best teams in the world. Manchester City buy full-backs for the price of strikers. When you speak about big football clubs, you are speaking about the history of the club.” https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/dec/26/jose-mourinho-300m-pounds-not-enough-manchester-united |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 10:30pm On Dec 26, 2017 |
I still believe Rojo is a good defender. He is one who takes time to hit form. What we need is one very intelligent dribbler with close control and agility to join the attack. Someone who can play from the right and middle. Then we need more midfielder. A very fast midfielder who can burst burst some yards with the ball. He also has to be clever in build up play. Matic and Pogba will not be able to dominate a midfield with fast players, like Chelsea. Kante, Bakayoko would be deployed in a way they can use speed as a a weapon. Matic is strong on the ball but slow to release it in a quick decisive attacking move. We need a third person who can help play a 4-3-3. Or serve as an option in selection and tactics. We may have to sometimes play without a point man. Sometimes, fluidity is needed instead of a point man whose lack of build up technique stifles attack and his positioning just invite crosses into the box. May be this was why Mourinho wanted Griezmann. |

CapitalCee:You wanna make this hard for yourself bruv... In this time and age, you honestly don't have to be anywhere at any time to give your say or air your view. We have all ways to garner information nowadays, so one cannot be limited to saying if you weren't there, or if you didn't see it then you can't have a say. To a greater extent you can tell of some historical events that ensued in Nigeria in times past. And albeit some might not be entirely true, but to a large extent most will be. Will you be okay if someone says because you didn't experience first hand at the time some of those events transpired then you have no idea what actually happened? Your answer here would really put things into perspective. So you see... You don't have to be there live to know what happened. You also don't have to watch every game to know what happened. I've not been to the States before, but I don't need to see Trump live to know that he is the President of the USA or to have an idea of his kinda person, do I? Just wanted to clear this idea of "you don't watch our matches and hence can't have a say" blah blah blah. Now back to your claim... Can we just be objective now? Can you tell me what you honestly think you guys are doing right in recent games or weeks? Because judging by the turn of events, the reverse seem to be the case, at least judging by recent events. No? 1 Like 1 Share |

"The problem with the first-half performance is another 's' goal - you are intelligent and don't need me to tell the whole world the other letters in the word. "What we are having now is lots of really very bad goals against us, so that obviously has an impact in the game. "At 2-0, it makes things more difficult at half-time, I need my players to believe in them[selves] and I need them to believe in me; to accept the risk and not be afraid to lose three or four. "To not be afraid of what was possible - what didn't happen but it could happen, that there is a negative reaction from the supporters." - JOSE MOURINHO |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 6:14am On Dec 27, 2017 |
"It was just tactical [Half Time Substitutions]. [We changed to] only one central defender as we know that Burnley don't have normally the ball as they just play direct so we played one against one with Phil Jones. "It is a risk and Jones accepted that and Nemanja Matic was there just to bring the ball from a totally free position, bringing lots of balls into midfield. "Then, instead of more positional players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, I decided to go with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata with all three trying to play in these areas behind Lukaku." - JOSE MOURINHO |
