I doubt that there is any real confusion as ircc clearly states what they require. I mean, there is no mention of a "futuristic eca reference no" Anyway, the more people who explore this loophole of futuristic ECAs, the faster they would be to add an extra footnote to the guidelines for ECA report validity.

I feel like a broken record adding this but it only does any intended Canadian immigrant a world of good to read. I mean, how does one plan to pack up their life and move halfway across the world without getting all the relevant info required? At the end of the day, applications go to ircc and not anyone else so they should always be the reference point. In addition, the quality of information we share here would be greatly improved if more people added knowledge instead of finding loopholes to be "smart" or "prove a point"
Just my 2 kobo but what do I know?

If I say I'm not tired ehn I'll be lying. I don't know why it's hard for Nigerians to do the right thing? Before we say Jack, God will have been involved. Why won't people mock?

As in ehn smh. We won't hear from them again. I don't know whether they've heard that was the last draw or something. I can't understand why someone will knowingly misrepresent and be looking for loopholes upandan.

Hi GlitteringStar,

Thank you all for your input on my question although most responses were harsh. We all read and interpret differently. There was no need to indirectly lay insults.

I was ready to wait for my ECA result before entering the pool, seniors ahead of us said, 'just enter the pool, use ur Wes reference and the projected time ur ECA result will be out.

I processed the infor, did as they adviced but I was uncomfortable hence I had to reask on this forum.

Based on analysis of the responses I got the honest truth is that most of us here are also misrepresenting or misrepresented.

He is ready to take the risk as he wants to prove to me
That claiming readiness of ECA report and Claiming completeness of POF is the same thing and has no risk so far, you get it before the 3months expiration.

May it end in praise for us all.

It's funny how you've found something to compare it with. Please go ahead and do what you feel you need to do but please we don't encourage this here.

We encourage people to do the right thing. You have no business being in the pool without the basic requirements ( IELTS and ECA). Even those that formulate their TRF number etc, we don't encourage it. It's fraud whether you like it or not.

It's important that we all know that what we do affects other people especially when we look for loopholes to scheme the system or what not. And as Nigerians are already known for fraud, it's important we try and salvage the already dented image.

Please if you're new on this thread, do yourself a favour and read. It's for your benefit.

Ma, I try to understand rationale for equating ECA to POF but the thing just de elude me.

One question though, can you legitimately receive ITA with a future IELTS result?. When you answer this, then do the proper equation to what you should have done than comparing ECA to POF.

Thanks. I hope and pray that they send the mail during the week.

The British Council office remains closed until January 2. It's so saddening that despite the plethora of complaints pouring in before they went on Xmas vacation, they couldn't make alternative provisions for candidates still faced with various degrees of concern.
Best bet would be for everyone who still has issues to resolve to endeavor to be at their Ikoyi office on January 2. The test date would've been only 4 days away by then. I pray it ends well for all concerned.

fantababy, the man or hubby doesn't always have the best idea or opinion. And in this case, you appear to know better than him so don't join hands to ruin your dream because of pride. Did they ask for any date or serial number of your POF when you were filling in the Express Entry information? NO! How can you then relate it with ECA? I agree that ECA report should be gotten before entering the pool however I am just speaking loud my inner analogies.

You cannot compare IELTS and ECA evaluation.

IELTS - You are yet to write, you do not know what your score is.
ECA - You already have your degree, you are not claiming what you do not have.

My dear Fantababy,
.
.
.
My candid advice to you and your husband is to decline this ITA and ensure your ITA date is after your ECA and IELTS dates (which as I have mentioned are requirements for you to be in the pool in the first instance). If everyone could claim future ECAs, the pool will be overflowing by now. However, you can choose to take your chances and then your experience will guide those coming after you. I hope you will come back to share.

Guys, let's do this thing the straightforward way already set out on CIC website. The worst that will happen is that you don't get ITA but still remain eligible for subsequent draws. I suppose that's way better than getting disqualified and banned for a whole 5years or more, by which time age would've eaten deep into your existing CRS score (that is if they truly decide to show mercy and reconsider you)

I'd love to give you an elaborate response but today is not the day I have plenty time.

You say you cannot compare IELTS and ECA but you can compare ECA and POF abi, weldonma!

Again, you say you have not written IELTS, but you as well know you can input 8777 and then edit to reflect true position when result is out to show your 8.5,8.5,8.5,8.5... So what then stops you from using a pseudo score when you can always edit?

I read through your posts then realized you'd most likely miss only one more draw if you do the right thing, why the rush?

Since you have made up your mind to do what you want to do, we can only wish you well. I rest my case.

You need to be very careful, for instance my IELTS result was released online on 15th November, by the time I collected my TRF it says it was issued 14th November. Imagine if i formulated by TRF and used 15th November, that will be misrepresentation. I have a projected WES completion date FRIDAY (on final review) but it will be stupid to enter the pool cos of expected draw today, the system will record your submission date and if its before ECA then it will be misrepresentation. Be warned.

You can actually enter the pool before your ECA is ready but you cannot accept an ITA before your ECA is ready. The case officer will check your eligibility on both AOR date and ITA date.

As others have advised, please reject the ITA and wait in the pool for your ECA to be completed before accepting another ITA.

Since you will still have to wait for the ECA before submitting, why don't you just start gathering all the docs you require save medicals and PCC, so that you can submit within a week after getting a valid ITA.

I don't think deriving your TRF number before your TRF is posted to you is fraud, so far the score is right and the result date is pre ITA. People even make genuine mistake and put a wrong TRF number. Does that mean, the person has committed a fraud?

In fact you can decide to put any information in your profile so far you did not use the info to get ITA. Even if you use the info to get ITA, so far you decline and don't submit your application, it is not a fraud.

if you take away your ECA(that is if you are not the PA) and your crs still is or above 446, then leave it out but if it falls below just try and do the right thing. let this matter rest

First, you should have a marriage certificate as that is the basic proof of your marriage.

The name on your passport wont raise a red flag as long as it was not renewed AFTER you had already done your change of name (Newspaper publication & court affidavit etc) so why dont you proceed with the change of name before EE or ITA to avoid AOR.

For question 2 - they do not care whichever name you decide to use BUT whichever name you choose to proceed, get ready/ attach supporting

documents of change of name, in addition, you could also tell hubby to notarise a letter that you are using his first name.

I use my fathers 1st name (since birth). Even before EE started, when my mum applied for PR 11years ago (2006), despite the fact that 2 of us (siblings) were no longer her dependants, they requested she get a notarised letter from my dad that we are not bearing his surname before she was eventually given her PR & our last born who was still a dependant then left with her.

In short, proof beyond reasonable doubts that you are still the same person

Thanks for the response
