Why Are Yorubas Ready To Take Anything...just For One Nigeria? by Stingman: 1:42pm On Dec 27, 2017
This is an observation I have made over some time now.

Why are the Yorubas ready to take anything thrown at them, especially by the Igbos just so long as Nigeria remains?

They have the seaports, major international airports, major train system, best investment location...more educated and more industrious than any tribe in Africa...or so they claim...Yet they are ready to receive insults including letting others buy their lands, develop it, and even become their Obas and governors...All for One Nigeria.

Is there something they are not telling us? Why are they so desperate for one Nigeria...even when their leader Awo stated that Nigeria was never a nation. Why are they ready to give up their pride, culture, and tradition for one Nigeria?

Cos Yorubas are peace lovers. They believe in solidarity. If we v embraced it thoroughly since 1960, Nigeria ll v developed better than it is in 2017.

Yorubas developed Benin Republic. Major towns there are occupied by Yorubas of Ajase, Popo & Sabe. These are Yoruba indigenes from Oduduwa.

As for Southwest and North are developing at the detriment of other regions, it's a fallacy. Share your points

Indigenous Yorubas of Benin & Togo republics are wretched and a clear indication of what the ones in Nigeria will be once Nigeria cease to exist.

Peace lovers ni peace lovers ko?

The peace lovers that are when the FG begins to develop other regions like their own?

Check out threads where FG wants to open seaports in SS or when AIIA Enugu was started...and see how your peace-loving hypocrites reacted... What form of solidarity is that?

Nobody is developing Yorubaland. Yes you right. A lot of Yoruba people are against Nigeria disintegration even though they aware the country won't progress. I believe ignorance is the problem. Also, no Yoruba politician will support oodua republic. These are the people that can help us split the country peacefully. Yoruba governors and powerful politicians can expedite the process in declaring a seperate oodua republic, but they won't because they are thieves that care for their family alone.

Yorubas are the reason why Nigeria still stands today.. Take it or leave it.

Despite the huge IGR generated from our states, we don't complain or brag of feeding anyone. Lagos and Ogun remitts the largest revenue to Nigeria, followed by the Niger Delta region despite having Oil in large quantities.

Let Yorubas start a movement like IPOB for Oduduwa republic and see if Nigeria won't tremble. All your Obi, Sultan and Emirs in the North will come begging.

It has haplened before during Abiola when the West went wild. They had to beg us with presidency. Just let us get tired of this union and I bet it that most tribes in Nigeria will go poor and hungry

I can pick FG investments in north and SW without thinking about it...You can hardly name any FG investment in the SE and even SS regions..

grin grin grin, Yoruba obsession as usual. Maybe I need to ask how many igbos have been governor of any southwestern state, Even your London ragos, you keep crying how you wish to be governor but can't possible. I didn't know that Yorubas have gone to anambra or ebonyi to pick a and igbo to become ooni, alafin, deji, or olubadan before. Oh, all yorubas must have trooped to alaigbo before to beg Mr ezenwa to come of be governor of ogun, beg okechukwu to be governor of ondo, beg chigozie to be Lagos governor. Wow, the last time I checked the crying babies her, you were crying how you were flogged mercilessly in Akure by Akure Indigens. Last time, I heard you were crying to the world about a small deportation by fashola. Oops, last I heard, nairaland was filled with tears that Lagos made a Yoruba language a compulsory one for everyone and says if you don't like it, you can move down to your states. Buying lands, even Africans are buying lands in Americas and Europe. Wow, you seems to be blind to see the handwriting on the wall. Last I read here, your elders were the ones that visited aare ona kankanofo. You really has brain, kudos to you.

Would you prefer to be left alone with the North? YES or No
Whichever one you chose answers your question.

The Truth will shock you. Afonjas honestly don't like One Nigeria but at the same time they against Igbo leaving. The biggest reason they support One Nigeria is fear and envy that Igbo will be successful if they are left to be alone. They will rather suffer under One Nigeria than to see any good come out of Biafraa. Igbo leaving will expose them in the eyes of the world as a monumental fraud because they have used propaganda for decades to pad themselves. As one Nairalander said...Afonjas are worst than Alamajiris. Wicked things...naturally wicked!

Rubbish!
Are Benin and Togo as rich as Nigeria?
The land of Togo & Benin, do they v the resources as Southwestern Nigeria?
Those guys in Togo & Benin were unfortunate to be cut off Nigeria's map when the scramble for Africa began. I don't know their worth. But if they are poor, that's not an indication of all Yorubas. Google is there for you to see the development of Southwest Nigeria since ancient times.
I see that it was the jealousy for Yorubas that opened this thread. I ll be very savaged.
I m not a fan of tribalism but I ll be very brutal if naive posters spread rubbish from their tiny reasoning.

The same way Yorubas suffer from welcoming Northerners who later became nuisance is the same way they get insulted by Easterners who ll say they built Southwest. And I wonder if south west never had their own major contribution to their region.
As if other people didn't add to the growth of the East or Northern Nigeria.

you are the only one that's foolish. Child of hate. No one is doing one Nigeria by force. You can't push Yorubas to fight a fight they ain't willing to fight. If their is a genuine reason to quit Nigeria's alliance, we ll quit.

Fine!

All you need to do is start the campaign, in the right manner of course.
Sound it to Abaribe, Ekeremadu and other SE senators and rep members that you want out. It's that simple.

Let them throw it open on the floor of senate and house of reps and see if you won't get results.
Online rants won't solve anything.
