George Weah made history in A.C. Milan and not Chelsea.

His going to Chelsea was at the twilight of his career with just 11 apperances and 3 goals.

George Weah actually beat Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in the polls 13 years ago, but they 'changed' it for him because he was not well educated ..then he went back to school ...even many world leaders were like ..you cannot just come and become a President because you are a popular footballer.

Now his time has come.

He deserves it. Patience is a virtue indeed.

President or president-elect

That he won the election does not automatically make him president. He remains president-elect until he is sworn in as president.

For now, the president of Liberia is Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

You're right, Adokie is Odegbami's generation the few that got good education to fall back on.
Olofijana is still young and just started his coaching career.

George Weah will learn soonest that football success does not translate to success in political leadership.

With the right policy plan in place, he needs to learn the art of political leadership very fast and get the right team in place to make things work.

Assumption to power does not mean he should use it to amass wealth just like the brutal Master Seargent Doe.

Congrats my man.
It's been long overdue. Weah defeated Allen in the first election, but Obasanjo foisted her on Liberians through his machinery. I have my facts on this.

Long may you rule Skippo!

1. Really? What is more complex than leading a country just coming out of a war that completely devastates the country's economy?

2. Spoken like a true Nigerian who's known corruption all his life. Character is everything for a leader. Let's use the United States army's values as an example; It's acronym is LDRSHIP; Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, Personal Courage. These are all character traits required to lead men. These words are foreign to Nigerians because hardly anyone has those character values in that country hence the predicament they find themselves.

3. Saraki and co. should be your business because they are a case study of the kind of people leading you in Nigeria.

4. Ok. My bad. Churchill was 77 year's old when he stopped being prime minister. Same difference. So, let's talk about something else. Your spew about cannibalism makes no sense at all at all. How would you acquire human flesh to consume in the UK in the first place without breaking the law? If you for example break into a mortuary to steal a dead body to consume, you would be charged with breaking and entering and then theft. If you decide to murder someone for the purpose of eating them, you would be charged with murder so i am here scratching my head as to what your point is. Some acts are implied and people do not always have to enact laws governing those acts. And yes, when a normal country does something that works, Nigerians should swallow it hook line and sinker. Obviously you guys cannot think for yourselves so you need to emulate. If na lie, then why Nigeria be like e be? Why?

You are a poor student of history. Churchill ruled from 1939-1945.
Back to my point, Churchill's second stint as PM was a collosal failure.Guess what? He was above 70 then!
Ciao, Mach’s gut.

And you are worse at researching, reading and comprehending. Churchill led Britain twice. 1940-1945 and 1951-1955. And he led. Leaders Lead. Tyrants and Monarchs rule. Prime ministers don't "rule". They are not the monarchy. (English lesson 101). You say he only "ruled" once till 1945 and immediately turned around to point out his "second stint". Are you confused? Also, Churchill's "failure" was not as a result of economic reasons but political. His party lost a lot of seats which is termed a failure in a country like the UK. It wasn't because he was corrupt or was sharing garri and salt to the masses. grin
