1. Black Panther (February 16, 2018)
Director Ryan Coogler will be bringing one
of the most dynamic films of 2018. The
narrative follows T’Challa (Chadwick
Boseman) and the journey he embarks on
after the death of his father, the King of
Wakanda, returning back to Africa. The
throne is his and he returns to be the king
of the African nation. Forest Whitaker,
Angela Bassett, Daniel Kaluuya, Lupita
Nyong’o and Michael B. Jordan are a handful
of invigorating actors and actresses that will
grace the big screen’s showing.
2. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (June 22,
2018)
The summer of 1993 debuted the first
Jurassic Park movie. The animated movie is
an interesting trail to follow. As technology
and animation continued to develop
throughout the years, the Jurassic series
became a successor in the development of
time.
Directed by J.A. Bayona, it’s the fifth
installment of the Jurassic series. Director
Collin Trevorrow had this to say in an
interview: It will be more suspenseful and
scary; it’s just the way it’s designed. It’s the
way the story plays out. I knew I wanted
Bayona to direct it long before anyone ever
heard that was a possibility. So the whole
thing was built around his skillset.
3. Tomb Raider (March 16, 2018)
Alicia Vikander will take on the job of being
the main character, Lara Croft. Director Roar
Uthaug will be behind the direction of the
movie, coming off the disaster movie The
Wave, a movie released in 2015. Geneva
Robertson-Dworet penned the script,
showing off his creativity once again, as he
did for upcoming Captain Marvel film. The
movie will be action-packed, with Uthaug
making his English language debut. As the
spring weather blooms in and transitions
out of winter, Tomb Raider’s March launch
should an exciting release to watch.
4. Avengers: Infinity War (April 28, 2018)
The Thanos story finds its way into this new
Avengers movie. Avengers: Infinity War will
hit big screens on April 28 of 2018. The
Avengers series has always been a huge
release and directors Joe and Anthony
Russo are putting all of Marvel on display in
this movie. If you can think of a character,
they’ll most likely appear. The Guardians Of
The Galaxy, Captain America, Black Widow,
Captain America, Doctor Strange, Thor, Iron
Man and more will be a part of this film.
Since the beginning of the saga, the Thanos
story has been a story to truly follow. Moving
into 2018, the story continues and will be
followed by another Avengers movie in
summer of 2019.
5. Dead Pool 2 (June 1, 2018)
A mixture of comedy and action, the Dead
Pool series gives off energy that many,
possibly, can enjoy. Rhett Reese and Paul
Wernick move in with the screenplay to
provide the narrative for Dead Pool 2, with a
little assistance from Drew Goddard. Ryan
Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Josh Brolin, T J
Miller, Brianna Hildebrand will be the cast to
lead the film through. Dead Pool 2 will arrive
on the first of June and will face some
competition with the new Star Wars movie.

6. Star Wars: Han Solo (May 25, 2018)
Well, as stated previously, Star Wars’ new
movie is slated for a May 25 release.
Following the Han Solo story, directors Phil
Lord and Chris Miller look into the life, the
early life of Han Solo. With a supporting cast
including but not limited to: Emilia Clarke,
Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson and
Donald Glover, there are high expectations
for Star Wars. Will this be the last Star Wars
film? Likely not and we can watch as it
unfolds on May 25.
7. The Predator (August 3, 2018)
Writer-director Shane Black says he wants to
make this “biggest predator yet” and with
the help of Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn,
the Sci-fi film can earn some major respect
on August 3rd and beyond. It’s been a long
time since the 1987 original film and Shane
Black is excited to get this film up and
running. As time progresses, we can expect
to see the official trailer for the film.
8. Fifty Shades Freed (February 9, 2018)
The evolution and unfolding of the Fifty
Shades saga have wrapped the minds of
movie attendees each and every Valentines
holiday for the past three years. Continuing
the streak, Fifty Shades Freed will hit big
screens on February 9. With Christian Grey
and Anastasia Steele giving us the romance
behind Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson,
be prepared for your adrenaline to rush.
9. The Incredibles 2 (June 15, 2018)
The second installment of The Incredibles
film is set to arrive on June 15. The Disney-
Pixar film first showed face in 2004. Well-
past the decade mark, The Incredibles 2 film
is looking to be received well as a summer
blockbuster. Details of the movie aren’t out
there as much as we’d like, but we can
expect more details to appear soon.
The reason for the delay? Well, Brad Bird,
writer-director, is known to take hiatus in
between films. Will the second installment be
worth the wait? We’ll be able to see for
ourselves in June.
