Why the three weeks deadline? I have been re-booking with no issues. Did you miss the one week deadline?
Any idea when they'll stop adding dates?
Not at all. The one I booked and cancelled was 18th Jan.Did you use the same email and passport number during rebooking?

HI, I applied for a student visa for Germany to study the language in Frankfurt for about 6-8 months. My mother applied for a visa as well so she could drop my sister and I off and also visit us from time to time, as a result she stated those reasons as the reason she was applying for a visa as well as a couple of business trips because my parents do business in Germany.

My sister and I applied about 5 weeks ago and even received emails a while back, asking follow up questions about our contacts in germany.
However, this week marks the 5th weeks since then and we've not heard anything back despite the fact that my mother received her own multiple visa for a duration of 3 years.

I'm starting to get worried because our language course begins on the 8th and as I mentioned before, our visas haven't been issued. Should I really be worried?

My advice is this. Get a trusted cab-man to pick you by 4am in Festac. Before 6, you'll be there. No cheap hotel in island oo!

Thank you very much for your response.
Also, is there another way I can get quick response from the embassy? I want to confirm my appointment date to avoid stories that Touch but they have not responded to my mail yet.

Good evening all. Please I have been following this trend for a while now. But I have a question. I want to study a degree course in Germany. But the credentials I have is just SSCE and also I intend running a program at Goethe Institute to get a certificate in German language. I hope that will be enough for me to be admitted for a bachelor's degree in Germany? And pleas I would like to know if there is still any tuition free university in Germany up till now? Plz I need answers. Thanks

You've posted this before and I really don't know what to say, cause it's kinda complicated

She can't just drop off your sister like that in Germany

Your visa should have been issued alongside your mum's. I may be wrong though. 8th January is like two weeks from now. They should have issued the visa

Yes. I sent a mail to embassy today about it and their response was that it was booked and cancelled. That they have no influence on the system and that system will not allow to apply till 3 weeks after appointment. I saw Feb 21st and 23rd last night, but I didn't book as my enrollment is early March. I just need to get date around January.

Hello, I've been following the issue you have with your student visa appointment. I'm really sorry. This is something that shouldn't be wished on anyone.

However, there's something you're not getting right. When the consulate replied you that you can book 3 weeks after, they meant three weeks after your appointment i.e. if you honoured that appointment and for some reasons your application was rejected due to incomplete documents or something.

Meaning if you are yet to honour you appointment, you can cancel your appointment this minute and book another the next (as long as it's a week before the appointment, i think), just make sure your desired date is available.

Also, you don't have to use another email. It's really unnecessary. As long as you cancelled correctly, your details wont be found on the system again and you can book another entry.

I know it's difficult to relax in situations like this, but please relax, hopefully, you'll be fine.

Wish you the best!!!!

Hello guys. Please does anyone have any idea on how to request for a refund of school fees already fully paid to a school in Germany that is not tuition free? The school is IUBH Berlin, and it is a private university which cost quite some amount of money. I got admission to study Masters in Human Resources management and my Start date is 1st of March, 2018. I still have not been able to book an appointment with the embassy for my interview and since I may not get a date in January which is 6weeks before my start date, I have decided to just ask for a refund of my school fees and apply to another school in another country. cry cry

It depends. If your course is in English.
Relating with people outside class will require that you speak deutsch.

My mom applied for a multiple entry visa for the purpose of visiting us and also for some business she will be doing later on. I didn't do the language course in Lagos because I can't stay there for a long period of time, I don't have a home there. The visa I and my sister applied for is a student visa.

My mom spoke to someone who suggested that we send emails to the embassy reminding them of our application and letting them know that our program begins on the 8th of January, do you think this is a good idea?

Firstly, Go and read the contract sent to you by that school.

There's a refund policy there.

Have handle somethibg like this in the past. But becareful dont notify the school your plan yet. They are private institution with profit motive.

Read the contract you signed first and the refund policy.

Look at the duration for refund, and the general refund stuff.

Dont try to tell them u are refuse visa because they will request for a proof which can easily be verified.

Speaking from experience and legal point of view.

Relax.

There's nothing abnormal in your case.

You applied for visa at the pick period.

Your mum apply for short stay visa while u applied for long stay.

Her visa is determined in lagos while yours is determined here in Germany.

Contact the auslandebehorde of your city for an update. Or tell your mom to visit there if shes already in Germany.after that contact lagos embassy.
