are you on the electoral roll? this is usually a compulsory requirement to open a current account.

they will have to verify your identity electronically and also verify you are actually UK resident living at the address you claim to be residing. it is also aimed at stopping fraudulent applications.

Thanks once again.

Good day people.

Is it advisable to make normal day to day or rather weekly shopping and budget payments with the Credit card then pay it all off fortnightly?

If there is monies in your account, can you still use the credit card nonetheless and reimburse from there?

I quite keen on the credit build-up. I need all the info I can get.

Thanks.

To be honest I think credit cards should be used for bulky high ticket purchase, leave the weekly shopping to your normal debit card/cash. if you're buying Dyson, Furniture, cars, package holidays etc but then again everyone has a comfortable strategy to keep on top of things

Valid point but making such huge purchases aren't that frequent. Maybe once or twice a year if renting an already furnished apartment.

True, i think that's why most people see credit card as a back up, not main card...but i guess if you want it to be 'active' you might as well use it that way. If you use public transport you might want pay for an annual travel card with it .

Not really, you just have to spend like 5 pounds or 100pounds

Don't spend too much, or repaying back might be painful, as you're technically still borrowing

Thanks mate. Are there any rates you pay for the borrowed cash before repayment?

i think that comes if you don't repay before the deadline

Hmmm. One last question for tonight, is the credit point earned proportional to amount spent or the consistency of usage and prompt reimbursement?

To be honest, I'm also new here, so i can't really give advice on that, but you can use Experian to check your credit scores

I have used both, Azimo is better than worldremit interns of exchange rate, sometimes 2naira more.

Transferwise gives you more than those two but charges £1.44 fees while the above two charge £1

Check exchange rate through google or abokifix before using any of them.

I used Transferwise today and they are good, faster transfer time and better rate as well.

Tier 2 dependant and the main applicant work is quite flexible as per location so I have been giving a wild card of picking a place dt will be good for us, hence the whole deliberation oo.

Trying not to restrict myself to I can or I can't. Just open to ideas

Absolutely not, i shop around for the best money transfer agent and have used the 3 i mentioned here.

I don't know anything about that company apart from using their service.

I think for a start the bank gives you between 1k to 1500 credit limit depending on their policy then you keep building or from.dre and it goes higher but for other service provider dt gives credit card I really don't know.

Oldies will soon come give u a robust response

Rate right now is 429naira. Isn't that quite low given that a pound is worth 486 naira?

Just curious.

Their transfer fee is a bit high, almost £3 for transferring £100 though their rate is 1 naira higher than TransferWise.

.Its impressive when i see Nigerians in prominent roles in the society. I feel kinda proud of how far they've come out from the domestic suppression. Just waztched on TV, one Efe Ezekial receiving an OBE.

I'm also tripped about the successful Nigerian Doctors and Nurses. E.g Emeka on Junior Doctors show on the BBC
