Are u sure they don't have respiratory form of fowlpox? It dealt with my 600 broilers. Check for any sign of respiratory problem and any sign of pox on the face. Try some other drug for coco - maybe amprolium or agracox or coccifor etc. If u can upload a picture of the pen and dead bird it might be helpful.

Talking about coccidiosis, you can use Monensin + Vit e, its a feed premix, which you can use from day 3 on arrival of the birds till they are sold,
while in layers it is advice you administer until week 14 or week 16 and you can be rest assured that your birds will not come down with cocci.

I have personally used this feed additive for more than 1 year. I tell you your farm can be 100% free of coccidiosis.

How effective is it. I saw it with a sales person who did not really know its effectiveness.
What's the current price?

It is very effective, I have been using it for more than 1yr like I said on both my broiler and pullets less than 16weeks of age farm, I sell it too and my customers are happy.

For purchase of Monensin+Vit e, let us talk on 08187001540

Check the package. What do you need it for? If I am to use a growth booster, I will go for the best.

Meanwhile the best way to reach market size on time and get your money with high margins is below
1. Use good feed
2. Feed ad libitum
3. Prevent instead of cure diseases
4. Good doc which is very important
5. Good liter/ventilation
6. Keep records
7. Sell dressed weights instead of the open market common here on nairaland

some times is not hatchery fault. the fault is on your farm due to lack of litter management,

there was a time nastech broilers give me headache after i sold dem i noticed coccidiosis seriously affected dem , hmm this coccidiosis is silent killer in broilers farming because it can deprive your broilers to growth well, but sometimes you better buy from reputable hatchery such as agrited amo zartech chi n so on

I am in between this 2 feeds, Amo and chikun, for my broilers.

Please which is better?
Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by Turks: 6:06am On Jan 04, 2018
They’re both good. Very good in fact. But Chikun is readily available while AMObyng gets scarce sometimes. But in all, they’re really good feeds.

hello guys. i have been taking a rest from poultry, unfortunately an elderly friend sought my advice on his layer.according to him he bought 1000doc layers from zartech. he gave them gendox and vitamin accordingly.he gave gumboro on the eight day, then lasota on the seventeenth day. the birds reacted and started twisting their necks . few days later after some mortality ,when the mortality seemed reduced, with the mixture of gendox and conflox , he gave 2nd gumboro.since then he has recorded much mortality. today alone he recorded 30.he said he has place them back on gendox and tiviral ,this afternoon.pls note that he gave them gumboro only yesterday, and he has not given them the 2nd lasota yet. he said the birds are fine from the color of their faeces and their consumption is great.the birds will be four weeks on monday.the major symptons are twisting of neck, paralysis, and dropping of feathers.these are all signs of NDV, but i dont know what to tell him pls help!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, ,my dear brother what a pity, let me start by saying that Gumboro vaccine is a very powerful vaccine and you dont administer to sick birds like lasota, dre immune system is down.

1) What is the source of the lasota dt was administered?

2) Did he use local or foreign lasota?

Honestly, I advice he gets a veterinary doc to visit his farm and if there is any mortality let him open and conduct postmortem.

So sorry about the lost.

Raising Chicks is like building a vehicle so you won't under-rate d importance of a professional.
