the least price to get you a car on uber is 1.6million.

anything less than that, forget it and invest in another business
What car do you personally drive? Just curious.

I think this is a bit hard lined and not entirely true, some people are selling their corrolla for 1.2/ 1.3 naija used and they are still good maybe just expected shocks and minor repairs which you can also have to fix on a tokunbo.one just needs to be patient of your budget is not high enough.Circumstances where people sell their naija used cars are different, most sell because cars may have major issues but some also sell to upgrade after having used the previous car very well and some sell for emergency purposes too where the car can be in very good shape but such opportunities don't wait for you.i would also suggest the cars 45 yard but the good cheap cars are always taken by car dealers immediately they arrive and those ones will now still increase the price again. There was a 407 that was in cars 45 yard at 850, within 24 hours a dealer had bought and moved it to his own shop to sell at 1.1m so these are the challnges one is referring to but having to wait for 1.6m may not be easy for everyone.maybe at least 1m with some patience but expect to repair shocks and arms etc cos of Uber rider roads very wonderful Dem...

Hmm...theres alot of discouragement here. I know a guy who got a naija used Camry for uber at 900k in june and still uses it till now. He told me he has gathered some money to buy a new car and give it out. My surprise at the roi is what drew my attention to this business. Some comments here make things look impossible

Your friend is one person and thank God it worked out for him. This forum gives you a variety of experience not just the good one. I started this business January last year and it was the worst start anyone could have in a business. I bought two naija used cars, corolla and 06 civic. Had to sell both in less than six months and used the money to buy one Tokunbo Corolla. I'm NEVER EVER going near a naija used car again, it really slowed down my progress this year but Alhamdulillah for the new momentum.

Presently have a 9ja used I bought... I just refurbished it recently (engine Change, suspension etc). I believe it will work. Buying 9ja used depends on ur ability to take the jump... note even tokunbo Cars sometimes have their own headache.

it depends on what you got bro. There are many naija used cars that are in good shape though just needing some minor tweaks. Even these hyped tokunbos still have their issues and mind you most of them are accident cars back there in Europe just refurbished.

It all depends on the state of the Naija used... There's a man I know that owns a 2014 Corolla, this car barely leaves the garage.. if this man decides to sell tomorrow, I will most definitely buy his corolla. compared to a man that flogs his corolla on the road everyday..

I'm not saying all naija used cars are not good but we seem to all agree that you need some luck to get a very good one. If your budget can only buy a naija used for now, please go ahead and pray for luck. As for me, I would rather gamble on a first grade Tokunbo car with first body paint, not all these accident cars they sell in Lagos

this is a nigerian used car with a difference.

Owner. has carried out preventive maintenance, good tyres, coolant, A.c is stock, interior is clean, engine runs on full synthetic engine oil, transmission oil is original honda CVT oil. Engine and transmission just replaced from a donor in prestine condition.

Engine size is 1.3liter, better fuel economy than a corrola or a peugeot, all parts available, and cheaper than a peugeot or a corrola, car is never vandalized.

Price is 1.2m

good question. I'm thinking about retirement. I've been on uber for 6 months now. I Think a year and six months is OK for me then I'll retire.

Sometimes you talk as if you own Uber. Oga go and sit down. Any car can be on Uber only profitability will differ.
