naijapips02: Shut up and listen again, let me tutor u. I delight in such. Nlng as an "independent" company gives NNPC (FG) her share of her profit and it's expected that NNPC should deposit such into Federation account. NLNG has no direct business with Federation account. Get that to ur sack that u call brain. Secondly, there is nothing like savings in the Federation account. Only ignoramus who do not know what this account is talk this way. Incomes of govt monthly are paid into this account which also is shared monthly btw the FG and states and LG as stipulated by the constitution. There is no way, some savings will still remain in the account for years without it being shared then and there. It's a monthly exercise. So Eediota, no Nlng funds were saved in Federation account. 3 Likes |

billante: Thank you for reemphasising my case. By the way, I can see u are mixing both tax and profit together. All well and good. Bottom line is it has nothing to do with Jonah-daft wanting to save what is not yet due to be paid. Only criminal landlord demands for payment when rent isn't due. Jonah-daft didn't save nada. When the holiday expired, it had to be paid. It has nothing to do with Buhari. He was only privileged to be President when payment was due and not Jonah-daft. Responsible companies like NLNG is expected to pay her tax as at when due. This was paid into Federation account via FIRS and automatically had to to shared to everyone. 1 Like |

billante: billante: The above was what u posted so my earlier response is on point. By the way, from the Nnlg link which ur cohort posted earlier, I got the below...... .... Company Income Tax In 2014, NLNG remitted over N200 billion for its 2013 Company Income Tax (CIT) to the Federal Government, making it the highest Company Income Tax ever paid by a company in a financial year in the country. Company said they paid in 2014, u said Jonah-daft didn't demand for it, instead it was saved. Who saved it? Where was it saved? Was it paid? It's either company is lying or u Jonah-daft cocck-suckers are. By the way, I honestly know ur problem and confusion. Ur decision to mix both profit and tax returns together. billante: And PMB met huge foreign reserves, savings, ECA surplus, oil price selling at over $100/barrel like under GEJ, or PMB presided over the largest oil earnings like Nigeria witnessed under GEJ and also, PMB should not look for funds to service the TRILLIONS Jona borrowed?? Question why borrow and keep borrowing after inheriting huge savings, huge reserves and oil selling at records highs for so many years? Why and exactly what was done with the trillions he borrowed, the reserves he depleted, and huge oil earnings? What exactly? We now the rail you jokers like to throw out there was done with another round of borrow from China and the fake airport renovations was done with China loan and borrow borrow also. Did PMB also stole our $2 billion and gave it to Dasuki/ATM to share with his cronies and PDP members? It is not by force to sound ignorant, ill-informed, dumb, clueless and unintelligent. 3 Likes |

GEJ was far from perfect & certain actions taken can be called into question. but giving a wholesale condemnation without putting the circumstances in proper perspective is unfair. for instance, 1. if GEJ had decided to let the dollar float & not defend it, prices of goods & services would have risen astronomically & things would have been much harder for Nigerians, but he would have saved, question is, who are you saving for when the people who own the commonwealth are dying of hunger... 2. if GEJ did not have to pay so much subsidy on fuel, he could have had more funds saved, but since Nigerians insisted he pay, he did. now check this out, when crude oil was just about $40, Osibanjo said the government had saved over N1.4t in just 3 months.... https://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/08/fg-saves-n1-4trn-downstream-oil-gas-deregulation-osinbajo/ that's about $350m with the current exchange & $1b under GEJ at the time... now, imagine how much would have been spent when fuel was above $80 p/b... at $58 p/b, pmb is already in confusion... 3. by sharing the funds in the ECA, states had more money to spend, why they refused to pay salaries, is left for them to answer. 4. on GEJ borrowing to pay salaries. the full statement of Okonjo needs to be read to put the matter in perspective. recall that in 2011, GEJ doubled the minimum wage as such, the personnel expense of the FG more than doubled. the effect of the increase should have been cushioned by substantial removal of fuel subsidy which didn't work. so government was stuck with a far higher wage bill with no way of quickly covering up the loss from that. furthermore, the borrowing to pay salaries was in 2015 when crude oil had dropped drastically & this was a stop gap measure... https://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/182543-nigerian-govt-borrowing-billions-to-pay-salaries-okonjo-iweala.html even Adeosun says this government is borrowing... https://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/06/fg-borrowing-pay-n165bn-civil-service-salaries-adeosun/ bottom line is this, debates on success or failure of any government must be put into perspective... |

naijapips02: You are so thick that it is embarrassing. Good thing the Demdem has straightened you out even though you appear too dense to learn. Fyi what NLNG paid to the FG after Buhari took over was the income tax for 2014 payable in 2015 to the federation account, after FIRS assessment. As at that time all 2014 dividends due to NNPC for their 49% shareholding in NLNG (not 60% as you dumbly claim) had been paid under Goodluck. Uncle IB couldn't have saved the dividend either because it is paid to NNPC directly. You may look up the recently released NEITI report to learn more about dividend payment by NLNG. You Tanoid wailers are so empty and ignorant. No wonder you are so anxious for free money. That time don pass 2 Likes |

billante: NLNG tax holidays ended in Q3 2009 not 2014. The company sold its first LNG cargo in 1999 and the tax holidays was for 10yrs from first cargo sold. Buhari didn't demand it. NLNG paid it's statutory taxes for 2014 in 2015. They could have paid it earlier but the were smart enough to have held on so that hero IB will not steal it as usual. Do you care to tell us how the ineffectual one spent the previous taxes paid by NLNG from 2010 when he took over to 2014? You wailers are plain dumb. Pretty much like the man you support in his cluelessness. Cry as you like, lie as you please one thing is certain: no more free money. 2 Likes |
