Djibouti could be at the u17 women's world cup if they could navigate Ghana, that's a testament of the improvement of others. Burundi almost shocked SA at the u20 level too

And yeah, teams on the women's soccer scene in Africa are seriously not dulling. I recall back then when a team like DR Congo made it to a women's age grade world cup at U-20 level I think couple of years ago.
Your fear is with good reason but I just feel Bala Nikyu being one with enough experience and exposure will correct the mistakes and profligacy of our girls. Those girls can actually ball but goals conversion is their problem.

Cameroun had it so easy against a weak and physically inferior Algerian team. I don't them beating Nigeria even with their goals-laden show against Algeria (7-0 and 4-0 in the two legs).

Djibouti will fall to Ghana. They got a walkover even into the last round. South Africa should also beat Morocco but yeah Botswana gave them quite a scare but it was 11-6 in the end on aggregate (5-2 and 6-4). Botswana is really building a foundation for the women's game going by an article I came across one time on women's football in southern africa on a women's soccer site I think.

Besides, what usually determines victory in football is hardwork, teamwork, preparation and a bit of luck

Although, I must confess my ignorance on the level of preparedness of the flamingoes for this (and many other competitions)

The news is quite replete with cases of neglect of women football by the NFF

If the above is true, then I fear for their performance but if the NFF has awoken to their tasks, then all the best to them

True that Djibouti got a walkover Tunisia, but if I were their coach I'll fancy their chances of being at the world cup, Ghana could v an off day in one of the ties and if it were to be when Djibouti are at home if they take their chances and then go away to Accra and defend, they would just be the latest team to debut at a Fifa world cup, impossible is nothing.

Botswana impressed in those ties, losing 2-5 at home to SA isn't really a failure in the women's game in Africa so far u r not Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon. u can add equitorial guinea. then scoring 4 away from home is a loss that sure smells like a victory, they should continue to improve

SA has been close in African women's football, they r a power house and its only a matter of time they get their breakthrough just like Cameroon did recently.

we should use Ghana and learn, they have lost their hold on the women's game, they v been inconsistent lately and Nigeria is looking shaky in recent times our talents are not looking enough to see us tru.

It wasn't DR Congo, it was Zambia, Gambia, SA and Cameroon who have participated in one u17 women's world cup each in the last 4 editions since FIFA gave Africa 3 slots in 2010. But I don't know y they didn't make 3 slots for the u20
