Thanks kolaish and amen to your prayers. Spent the last three days evaluating the market. 2018 is looking good but my fear is that it completes a dangerous cycle. Just do your due diligence and be watchful at all times.

Technically, 2017 was a good year for NSE generally and for now starting 2018, NSE index is bullish Daily, Weekly is bullish but weakening with evidence of negative divergence, Monthly is also bullish showing some over-bought with inverted pin-bar. Short-term, market is poised to re-test 39000 - 40000 and will need energy to move it above that else, we might witness a medium term pullback.

To an extent I agree with you sir. But even if you are using naira cost averaging you still need to put the money in the right stocks. Anybody who has been naira cost averaging in stocks like Daar, Japaul, Cornerstone etc will be up the creek without a paddle by now.

On a lighter note I worked in a stockbroking firm in 96/97. That was my first ever job. I remember my MD on the phone trying to dissuade one of our clients based abroad from buying Liz Olofin PLC . The client was adamant that we buy it for him that its a penny stock and penny stocks are the best stocks to buy . At the end of the day we had to buy it. Only God knows if he still has them

Stock market investment is a knowledge based business, anybody who is not ready to read, study, practice, network and cross fertilise ideas with fellow investors should never venture into the game.

If I may ask what is Liz. Olofin manufacturing or what services are they rendering? Know and understand any company you invest in.

Your share certificate or CSCS statement is not a lottery ticket, but only shows the proportion of your holdings in business. Although the business could be thriving, stagnant or dying.
