I don't know o, am just guessing, may be your work experience increased from 2years to 3years this January(making you to have the additional 25marks). I have been in the pool at 436 since Dec 1 last year, waiting for hubby's ECA, only for me to check my profile this new year and its at a whopping 461!!! Please what could be the cause of this? I do not know whether to rejoice or not. I do not understand this thing o. Make person no come get ITA with fake CRS score. Abeg Epp!

chizilulu: CIC system calculates work experience on the basis of months and not days which is the reason why it was automatically updated. You will definitely get an Invitation to Apply in the next draw. I will advise you to either decline the invitation in case your new score (after recalculating using two years work experience) is lower than the minimum points score in the round of invitation from which you were invited to apply OR to delay submission till you complete your three years work experience. Under section A11.2, an officer may not issue a visa to an applicant who did not or does not meet the Express Entry minimum entry criteria (MEC) or did not or does not possess the qualifications for which they received their CRS score at the time when the invitation to apply (ITA) was issued or the e-APR was received by IRCC. Accordingly, officers should refuse an application under section A11.2 if it is determined that at the time of the ITA or e-APR, the applicant did not or does not meet the MEC, which includes the requirements of the program to which they were invited to apply or the applicant’s recalculated CRS score has fallen below that of the lowest-ranked candidate invited to apply in that round of invitations. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/assessing-electronic-application-on-section-a11-2.html 2 Likes 1 Share |

See what i found out. Might be helpful for a lot of people. @freeradical: What a glorious CRS cut off score. I spent close to 6months on 433 with my first EE profile searching for ITA but it wouldn't come grin Congratulations to all our new ITA holders, yimiton, dammiehar, XX01, et al. I know you guys expect to get speedy processing of your eAPR to PPR and so I've decided to help you with a few advice from my own experience. My timeline from AOR to PPR is just 46days which is quite impressive and something I'd wish for you guys to replicate. Now my advice to you goes as follows. Brace up its gonna be a long read 1. Getting ITA is a big deal but it's not so much of a big deal if u don't package your application well and it gets rejected. So use only 24 hours to celebrate dis ITA after which you have to settle down, snap out of the euphoria(you are not in Canada yet grin) and focus on submitting your eAPR without making any costly error that may mar your chances. 2. Even though we know that ultimately d divine controls the speed of every application yet you must do your utmost best in packaging your application carefully. As much as you can, get the documents in d format specified by CIC. Start now to disturb your bankers for the reference letters and your employers for the work reference letter. From my experience, you save d VO time and make their work easier when you submit documents in the recommended CIC format and they reward that with a fast processing. 3. PCCs are very vital and you should know by now what PCCs you need to provide. To be on the safe side any country you have spent a cumulative period of 3-4 months from when you were born till now just start now to process your PCC from them. VOs r very unforgiving with PCCs and sometimes they interprete the laws around PCCs in ways we can't truly understand. If you are like me that have never enter international flight before (I.e no travel history) then u are safe but for all the ajalas in the house, the chicken has come home to roost grin 4. Do not be in a hurry to get AOR, thereby rushing to submit. Take your time to ensure that you include every document in your checklist and in the right file format. Always cross check that your uploads are still intact even at the point of submission. It's not really by AOR but by how fast you move from AOR to PPR. Some July AOR peeps are already with PPR while we still got some April AORs languishing in IP1. So don't let the race to get AOR get to you. 5. Avoid ADRs. If it means waiting till the final week of your 90precious days it's safer to wait it out and submit your application with that document you know will be requested. ADRs have a way of unnecessarily delaying the movement of your file. The best time to send CIC documents is before AOR so be proactive enough to prevent anything that will make then ask after. For example if you know you have been refused visa to some country, nothing stops u from filling a schedule A form proactively even before it is asked. 6. Use your LOE very well. The LOE is a powerful weapon that you must use very well to your favour. If you do an unbiased self assessment of your application, you will note the areas where your application appears to be weak. It's almost likely that the VO will come to this same conclusion as you. That's where a good LOE does wonders. You can use your LOE to politely explain and provide further detail to the VO. What u r actually doing is subtly allaying his doubts about this weak part of your application. This helps the guy to make a favorable decision on your case. The trick to writing a good LOE is being honest, polite and MOST IMPORTANTLY attaching a document to buttress your point or as evidence. Also you can write as many LOEs and attached documents to each even though there is one placeholder for LOE. That's where your PDF merger comes in. Merge all the LOEs into one single file and attach. 7. Raising CSEs is a bad, bad thing!Avoid anything that will also make you to start disturbing your application midway after AOR by having to raise a CSE. Examples are getting married, adding a baby etc. Though most times these stuffs are beyond our control but as much as you can try to avoid entering such situations because it will delay your application. If you know you want to marry that man/woman then make the decision and get married already even before you secure ITA. I've seen some people's application getting delayed because they have to include spouse. If you r expecting a baby and your due date is before the 90days post ITA period, its best you wait for the child and include him before AOR. This exactly was my case. I had ITA Apr 12th and my wife's EDD was May 12th. I decided to wait for the baby. I made every arrangements for his passport with the immigration agent( the guy thought I was crazy trying to do passport for a child yet unborn grin), but alas baby came early on May 5th. My son got his passport May 12th or so and we got AOR June 19th. So my point is as much as we can control these events let's try our best. 8. Finally just keep praying as though everything depends on your prayers but not your work and try not to be overly anxious. Who anxiety EPP sef. I wish you guys a smooth PPR journey from here on. 30 Likes 1 Share |
[You guys are doing a great job. I have been wondering about what was responsible for the difference of 25 marks between my calculated score using the online CRS calculator and my EE profile CRS. I went back to my profile after reading your post and noticed that I wrote 8 hours for weekly work hours instead of 40 hours. I'm now on 460 as against 435 that I had before. Keep up the good work! ] |

For guys with COPR, please when you send your PUM and authorization letter to DHL, how do you know they have picked up your package from AVO. I sent mine last week and they sent an email the same day that my pickup request has been processed. I thought they are meant to send a tracking number because I am yet to yet one from them. Thanks!! |

ostom4u: Is your wife's sister now a PR holder? If your wife's sibling is now a PR holder you can claim points but if not they are inconsequential to your application and may give you more headache as CIC might require documents proving that relationship. The only family members that can affect points are siblings of either the PA or spouse. |

Happy New Year to everyone in the house, special greetings to the elders. I’m in the process of creating a profile and need some clarification regarding education and work history. Kindly review the below profile and assist to answer the questions that follow. My primary NOC is 6235 – Financial Sales Rep. Education B.Sc. Biz Admin. (ECA in place) 2009 – 2014, certificate issued Feb 2015. OND Accounting (ECA in place) 2007 - 2009 Diploma Accounting (No ECA) 2005¬ – 2006 Work History GEJ Bank Plc Full Staff - Apr 2016 – Till Date (1 year 8 Months) - Marketer (Deposit Mobilisation/Account Officer Contract Staff - Jun 2011 - Mar 2016 (4 years 9 Months) – Back Office/Administrative/Operations OBJ Bank Limited Contract Staff - Jun 2008 – Jun 2011 (3 years) - Back Office/Administrative Internship - May 2007 – May 2008 (1 year) - Back Office/Administrative My questions go thus: 1. Under Primary Occupation, I was asked of the date I first obtained the minimum education stated in the NOC description. The minimum education requirement are - Completion of secondary school and extensive general banking experience is usually required & A bachelor's degree or college diploma related to commerce or economics may be required. So which date should insert here, is it the date I concluded my B.Sc or OND? Please bear in mind that I was using my OND to perform another function but it is acceptable as a minimum requirement for my NOC. 2. Can I claim 6 years work experience from GEJ Bank Plc, i.e. from being a contract staff to a permanent staff? 3. If 2 above is yes, won’t claiming work experience before obtaining my degree make me ineligible? 4. If 2 above is no, can I claim 2 years work experience (April 2016 – till date) 5. If I claim only 2 years work experience, I’m aware that it’s not a must to include other work history in my profile since I won’t be claiming points for them. I’m also aware that I can put them under personal history, however, I can’t see any tab for personal history. Where can this be found o? LOL. 6. Even if the personal history is found, must I include other work history there or just exclude them from my profile? 7. Since I don’t have ECA for my Diploma in Accounting, can I just exclude it from my profile? I would really appreciate your prompt response and apologies for the seemingly long post. Thanks and God bless you. Cc: Newmum0615, Glitteringstar, 40manlappy, elfmann, vcole, optionese, et all |
