Some people are of the opinion that his lack of pace is an disadvantage , and my response is an example in Ahmed Musa who is probably the player with the highest pace but he is no good to the team. Pace is not a determining factor ,a very technical player like Ogu does not all the pace in the world not when he is not playing AM.
Pace is a bit overrated ( particularly amongst MFs) as a matter of fact. Mikel doesn't have pace, but he's our most important/instrumental midfilder. Paul Pogba of Man. United is another instance.

Obsessed with the Croats.

Matches to watch to determine their game
vs Spain(2-1, euros).
vs Cameroun(4-0, wc2014).
vs Mexico(1-3, wc2014. They play Mexico as final friendly before Russia starts. The rivalry is there).

All due respect, but they parade mostly old legs. Average age at 28yrs. Most of them are between 28-32. Though tactically sound, esp at short crosses. Rohr's false 9 tactic vs Argentina would hammer them badly to me, esp the swiftness&youthfulness of our counterattacks.

Their fans better behave in Russia too. Bad history with authorities.

Nigeria ranked 10th in EPL goals scored

EPL

Nigeria have made an indelible mark on the history of the English Premier League in many ways. One reference point is the quality of players the country have supplied to the league and the number of goals they have scored.

When the nations of the world were ranked according to the goals their nationals have scored in the EPL, Nigeria ranked 10th with 471 goals as at the end of 2017.

Apart from the country’s leading all other African countries on the list, Nigeria also made the list ahead of top footballing countries like Brazil, Argentina, Italy and Germany.

The list, which was compiled by the EnglishPremiereLeague.com was topped, not surprisingly, by England with 10,826 goals. France are in second place with 1,477 goals while the Republic of Ireland came in the third position with 945 goals.

Coming in 14th globally and second among African countries were Ivory Coast with 321, followed closely at number 15 by Senegal with 314.

I hope so too. Chan would be the last berth that gives him a seat on the plane to russia

He also has continental football to play with Enyimba but I don't think he must start. The coach should do what is best for the CHAN team and forget about the World Cup.

It is votes.. North Africans or NA based players won in most of the slots.

That was my argument when the BBC awards was open. It was not about the best, it was about votes.

HOTSHOT: Onuachu Is Nigeria’s Top Scorer In 2017; Beats Onyekuru, Okpotu, Ighalo

Midtjylland of Denmark striker, Paul Onuachu, has emerged Nigeria’s top goalscorer in 2017, finishing the calendar year three goals ahead of Anderlecht of Belgium striker Henry Onyekuru, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Onuachu scored 26 goals in 41 games for Midtjylland in 2017. His goals for Midtjylland include four braces and one hat trick.

The 23-year-old bagged braces against Nordsjælland home and away in the Danish Super Liga, and against AaB and Brondby. Onuachu’s only hat trick in 2017 was against Derry City in the UEFA Europa League.

Also, Nigerian international Henry Onyekuru who has two international caps to his name, continued his fine scoring form on loan at Anderlecht from Everton, netting 10 times so far in the 2017/18 campaign to take his total to 23 goals in 50 games in all competitions in 2017 for club and country.

Onyekuru scored a brace against KSV Roeselare over two legs and also against KV Kortrijk in their 3-2 win in the Belgian play-offs in May.

The former Eupen ace scored 24 goals, got nine assists in 41 appearances in all competitions last season for Eupen before he signed for Everton and was loaned to Anderlecht at the start of the 2017/18 season.

Home Eagles forward, Anthony Okpotu, also scored 19 goals for Lobi stars in 2017 to finish as the Nigerian Professional Football League top scorer in the 2017/18 season.

Odion Ighalo who joined Chinese club Changchun Yatai at the start of 2017 scored 17 goals, providing eight assists in 51 games for club and country in the outgoing year.

Ighalo’s only goal for the Super Eagles in four games in 2017 was against Cameroon in Uyo which Nigeria won 4-0.

Girona’s Kayode Olanrewaju also scored 10 goals in 36 games this year to take fifth spot with none of those goals coming in the colours of Girona where he currently plays.

that's a problem he should have overcome by now....
yeah...
we really have to see that maduka play...moreover i believe this current goal keeping crisis will turn out to be a blessing in the longrun...as many young goalies will grow up to stem the tide years from now.
