Katsina gov’t to offer permanent appointment to N-power beneficiaries
December 20, 2017
Katsinapost
Sadiq Bindawa
The Katsina state government has assured its readiness to offer permanent employment to N-power agro-beneficiaries in the state.
The managing director of Katsina Agricultural Development Agency (KTARDA) Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Musawa made the revelation while
declaring workshop training open for the N-agro beneficiaries held at EEC hall in Katsina.
According to him, over one hundred beneficiaries will work with the
agency while some will be engaged as agricultural extension workers toward the expiration of the programme.
He maintained that the Masari led administration has marked agriculture development as its key priority, which according to him is the reason why
Katsina state excels in agriculture amongst other states.
Earlier, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Aliyu Ibrahim express gratitude to the state government for supporting the beneficiaries by proving them with the necessary facilities for the smooth conduct of the programme.

[12/23, 11:03] Eze Ezenwa: #NpowerNG2017PhysicalVerification

As the physical verification for the 300, 000 pre-selected N-power applicants continues across Nigeria, it is certain that the prospective volunteers are facing some challenges at the point of verification.

In case you’re having verification issue, please contact N-power on any of its social media channels (facebook, twitter, IG, Nairaland, WhatsApp), or share your problem with us in case you could not find answer to your challenges in this post.

One of the 2016 applicants asks:

I’m one of the N-power applicants in 2016, and I got SMS from Npower in 2017 that I have been selected and was directed to embark on verification along with the 2017 applicants, but was not verified because my name couldn’t be found on the list at verification centre, please what can I do?
If you found yourself in this situation, please show the NOA verification officers the congratulatory message you got from N-power. Though, SMS isn’t a requirement for verification, we believe this should be an exemption. In case you showed them the SMS and you’re not verified please be patient as we believe that N-power must be working assiduously to resolve the issue.

It is possible that N-power headquarters are compiling the names of the 2016 awaiting list and dispatch such to the local government of residence applicants filled during registration. This may however take time. We implore you to be patient. Follow N-power on the social media, stay tuned to our updates on this platform and we’ll continue to keep you informed.

I was one of the applicant in 2017 with no matching record, please what can I do?
More than three events have passed unmatch record, please your application with N-power has ended before the online assessment test. Those with no matching record were unable to write the online test. Matching record was one of the criteria to gain access to the online assessment test.

It’s not possible for N-power to shortlist you when you have no matching record, when you didn’t write the online test. If you know of anyone who was fortunate without the online test, it could be computer error. Computer makes error too. Please, watch out for other Federal Government’s job opportunities or empowerment programme in your state.

Onyinye Okpalaume says: here in Sapele, Delta State, we’re told to go to Asaba for our Physical Verification, but after pleads we’re told to make contribution of N200 each for the officials transport fare, what can we do?

Everything about N-power is FREE irrespective of religion, political party, religion, place of residence so far you’re within Nigeria, please every volunteer has been warned NEVER to pay for verification. N-power itself is free, don’t pay anyone for verification or any other thing.
[12/23, 11:03] Eze Ezenwa: I can’t find my name in the Local Government I filled?
It’s unfortunate that some applicants couldn’t remember the local government they filled during application. If you’re sure of the local government of residence you filled and couldn’t find your name, please send complaint to N-power 2017 support email.

Or…

View the LGA you selected in your application by typing in your BVN on N-power official website.

Physical verification has not started in my state, what can I do?
N-power pointed out before the commencement of the verification that some states might not start the same time with others. Please be patient as N-power has put measures on ground in all the 36 states plus FCT to make sure everyone is verified. Stay tuned, join informative N-power forums in your local government, state and on social media to keep in touch with the trend.

Why are they making NYSC certification compulsory?
Please note that National Youth Service Corps certificate is one of the requirements for those who claimed they have HND or University degrees. NYSC certification shouldn’t be strange to you. If you forgot it at home, please go pick it up if. The only exception is fo

Caution: Before implementing the suggestions on this post, please make sure you have little knowledge about tech and tablet operation.

Have you been facing one problem or the other with your N-power Device after you collected it? It’s likely you deleted an important APK on your device or you tampered with a very important SETTI NG segment of the device.

In a situation whereby you are having issue with your NpowerNG tablet device, we urge you to login to your NPVN Portal and check the Support section or your own device maker and contact the support centre in your state or the nearest support centre for solution.

But in a situation whereby they couldn’t help in your case, here are possible solutions you could use to get your problem solved.

Abubakar Bala Omadefu‏ with the twitter handle @BalaOmadefu asks:

“The learning material in My Tecno 10D is not responding and also the video is not opening, the response I have when trying to open the learning material is, No PDF material available for this unit and the video, this video cannot be played, please I need a solution.”

Possible Solution:

It’s possible you deleted the APK of the app, in a situation like that, it’s unlikely your app would work without APK. APKs are the backbone of Apps. First, we implore you to contact Npower Techno Device Support Centre.

Check the support centre here

In a situation whereby the support can’t help you with the reinstallation of APKs and Apps, do this simple task, but before that please try and locate a fellow volunteer who is in the same programme with you (N-Teach, or N-Health, N-Agro depends on your programme)

Click on home.
Go to File manager and click on it.
Locate the APK of the app you’re trying to open, reinstall it
If it doesn’t open after the reinstallation, go back there and delete it
Go to setting again, and locate the Apps that’s not working
Click on Uninstall
Reboot your device
On your friend’s device, follow the step one and two
Go to file manager and locate his own APK, which you’ve deleted on your own device
Transfer the ones you uninstall on your device through Bluetooth or Xender File transferring App.
Install the APKs on your device and open
Do the same for the videos.

You may reboot your device again.

That’s all.

You should be able to open the apps now.

Imo NOA boss decries low registration of state’s non-graduates in N-Power programme
By Charles Ogugbuaja, Owerri
The Imo State Director of National Orientation Agency (NAO), Mr. Vitus Eleocha, has decried the lack of interest in the N-Power programme of the Federal Government by non-graduates of Imo State.
Eleocha stated this through the Deputy Director of the agency in the state, Innocent Iwuchukwu, during the flag- off of the state-wide Local Government Assembly on ‘’Peace, Patriotism, Good governance, and Community Development’’, held at Ahiazu Mbaise Local Council, Imo State.
Ekeocha, regretted that only 78 non-graduates are on the list sent to them as registrants in the N-Power programme, away from Delta registrants that are 2,000, wondering why the youths in Imo did not register for the programme.
In the event attended by the monarch of Ogbor Ihitte Affoukwu Ahiazu autonomous community, Thomas Nwokedi, a Lawyer, the Divisional Police Officer of the council, Heart Chima Kanayo; the Officer -in- Charge of Department of State Service, Gordy Obasi; the Principal Administrative Officer of the council, Chima Nwachukwu, representing the Director of
Administration, and General Services (DAGS), Emeka Odua, a lawyer, Ekeocha, said the flag off was at the instruction of the Director General of NOA, Dr. Garba Abari, noting that it was geared towards enlightening the Nigerian populace on its policies and programmes, urging Nigetians to queue in governance and not to dislike such.
His words: ‘’Locally however, it seems patriotic feelings are limited to kind of nepotic and tribalistic tendencies. We cannot achieve much with this. National Orientation Agency is appealing that we do our best to identify the things that together make us strong and hold fast to them.
“There have been many government poverty alleviation programmes. The youths are everywhere on phone. Are they accessing proper information from the Internet to grab available opportunities? How many people here were successful in the N-Power programme? Delta State registered over 2,000 youths in the N-Power (N- build) that is now being verified. Imo State had only 78 people. Are there no non-University graduates looking for employment? They just refused to know…’’
He disclosed that Ahiazu got 208 successful registrants in the N-power programme last year, wondering why this year has much less in the 27 Local councils of the state.
The NOA chief urged all in the state to embark on non-oil export projects to enhance their lives among other agricultural activities, shunting all manner of violence, armed robbery, kidnapping and other crimes and restive issues..
Ekeoch reminded his audience that the Federal Government was desirous to have their feedback to help fashion better people-oriented policies and programmes. He asked the audience to be mindful of the monkey pox decease and play preventive roles.
Speaking, the monarch of the community, Thomas Nwokedi, a lawyersaid they were glad that the Federal Government considered them for the flag off event, after the community were forgotten in the part. He said
Governor Rochas Okorocha also remembered the area in development, stressing that they were evolving and developing.

BANK ACCOUNT AND PROFILE UPDATE VIA NPVN FOR 2017 NPOWER BENEFICIARIES
by ISRAEL BUBARAYE WELLNGTON JEREMIAH on January 02, 2018 in NPOWER

The Npower NPVN dashboard is one of the ways which Npower volunteers will get to update their personal information which includes their various bank account details to activate monthly payment of stipend. This can only be done if such applicant has been finally selected and verified by the Npower team and deployed by the state team to be fully included in the volunteer programme. The verification logo will appear on each volunteers’ NPVN dashboard and they will have to edit their earlier submitted information for corrections and omission on the Npvn platform. Click here

There will be a time frame when2017 volunteers will be required to login and edit their personal information, once this time elapsed, they may not have such time and chance to edit it again. So it is best when the processing of editing and submitting personal details and bank account details starts, its best you edit it fast and submit the application online. This will save you from being place on payment hold where your stipends may be delayed due to said technical issues. so this is how best for update your bank account details.

How to upload and update your Bank Account details

The process of uploading and updating your bank account details is a simple process which requires you to be careful in handling the whole steps. You to get your bank details close to you as well as your BVN to start this important process. This process is the most vital step which each candidates in the Npower volunteer network must complete in order to receive the monthly stipends payment of N30, 000.

To start the process, your username and password will be activated and you will be able to either login with your Phone Number, BVN and surname. Once you have been able to login, your personal details dashboard will be display for you to edit and add other missing personal information. Please make sure you add the necessary items on the list that will be displayed on your dashboard.

The first thing to do is to update your personal information, please make sure to check if the names displayed matches the names on your identity card and most importantly on your bank account. The names must be identical in all ramifications. Fill in your email address and the same phone number you used during the online application as well as the physical verification stages. Do not change the phone number and do not add any other one on the dashboard. You are required to fill in just one phone number.

After that, fill in the following as will be displayed on your dashboard below in capital letters.

Sex status
Residential address
State origin
LGA
Residential state
Residential state LGA
Date of Birth
Phone number
Email address
First name, (English or baptismal name) middle name (native name) and Last name (surname)
Bank verification number
Account number
Bank name

Once this have been filled and provide on the dashboard, make sure you cross check the details again to see if there is any error or nay words you misspell or did not provide. Any error here or words wrongly provided will spell doom for you as it will affect your bank payment so go through them again thoroughly before submitting.

Now cross your bank account number and the BVN you have filled, if they are correct, you can now submit.
Copied and Edited.

the list of such names will be posted at various

for n-health, teach & Agro respectively. The list

letter to their PPA for acceptance. Your PPA will
sign on your letter to confirm its acceptance and
immediately you will begin working. This is

#NpowerNG: 10 N-power Tablet Device Problems you can Fix By Yourself
Your N-power tablet device could only be described as a machine in your hand. But there are some minor problems that could reduce your user experience, which you can fix by yourself by performing a very simple task.

We’d discuss seven of the problems you can resolve by yourself without consulting tablet engineer or without contacting N-power Tablet support centre.

Some of the problems you’re likely to encounter include:

Accumulated cache data
Over heating problem
Megabyte (Data) management
Screen protection
Power consumption
Difficulty in using N-power 750 free data
Difficulty in getting the N250 monthly call card
Storage problem
Screen shot
Virus problem
Let’s take the above issues one after the other on how you can fix the problems within seconds by yourself without any technicalities

Accumulated cache data on N-power Device

Your N-power device has been pre-loaded with enough apps to make you enjoy it. Definitely you’ve also downloaded some apps from store by yourself. Fine. But do you know that app the installed apps on a tablet device have feature for store cache.

Accumulated cache on your device could be one of the reasons while your tablet is slow. The cached data is one type of data storage. The cached data can consume the memory of your available storage on the device.

Better still…

Have you noticed that a new app was working fine on your device but after later it’s lagging and works very slow? Accumulated cache could one of the reasons

But first…

What is cached data?

“Cache is a collection of web pages including the text, images, and media. This stored cache data helps in improving the user experience. With the help of cached data, your web browser opens web page quickly on your next visit to the particular web page.”—quora.com

How to fix cache issue on your N-Power Device Tablet

To clear cache on your device, use the pre-loaded cache clearing app “ACCELERATE”

Look for accelerate and tap on it, it would automatically clean stored cache on your device. This enables your task to be faster on the device.

If you’re not satisfied with this, you can do it manually, but make sure you know where to click before you embark on manual cleaning of cache because any mistake could make your device to start misbehaving

You can also install Clean Master from Google Play Store, and clear cache from time to time.

Over heating problem

There are several reasons your N-power device may be overheating:

First, if the power supply (voltage) is very high. Depending on your device, you may be alerted to remove the charger from the socket. In a situation whereby you’re not alerted, try to check your device at least 20 minutes when charging your battery.

Solution

If you discovered unusual heat around the battery area, pleas remove the charger from the main socket.

If you constantly charge your device with sub-standard generating set, you may also experience issue of over-heating. Disconnect it from socket

Second, if you run multiple apps underground, your device may be experiencing problem of over-heating. For instance Facebook App could be running under if you don’t log out from it before exiting closing the app.

It means next you switch on data, the app will automatically be running. In this situation you’re putting pressure on your battery causing the device to overheat.

Solution

Log out from any app you’re not using. Don’t just switch off your data connection, make sure you log out from all apps from switching off your data so that they don’t automatically start running next you’re connected to the internet.

Megabyte (Data) management

Your device comes with FREE 750MB per month. It is automatically renewed from the beginning of every month. The essence of the FREE data is to enable mark attendance and use other things connected with N-power right on your device.

While 750MB may be too small for some data consumers, it’s enough for a whole month if it’s used exclusively for what N-power says it should be used for.

But how possible is it to just use such a machine for only N-power activities? Please read T&C of the gadget.

Some NpowerNG volunteers are already using their device for their online businesses, thanks to N-power.

In this regard, do you know that you could consume the 750MB within a week?

Yes is even possible to finish the data within a day if you’re a movie lover who stream live on YouTube or movie download enthusiast.

How to manage your N-power 750MB Monthly FREE DATA

Turn off internet connection when you’re busy attending to other things

Turn off the internet connection when you’re not doing anything online.

You can set data warning in order to regulate the way you consume data per day or weekly.

WhatsApp Data Save Mode

Limit the amount of data you use on the messaging App, WhatsApp. You can simply do this by turning off media auto download on your WhatsApp.

Go to settings, select data usage, and under media auto-download (when using mobile data), select no media.

Set Google Play Store Update

Set your Google Play Store App update to Wifi only or Do not auto-update apps.

Click on Google Play Store App
By your left handside, swipe to the right if the options aren’t showing.
Click on settings to see other options like: Notifications, Auto-update apps etc
Click on Auto-update app and select either Do not auto-update apps or select auto-update apps over WI-FI only.
Caution

If you selected Auto-update apps at any time means that any time you switch on your data the app would automatically be searching for what to update and begins without your authorization. Don’t pick this option if you want your data to last.

Turn auto mode on Facebook

Turn off video auto play under settings in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media app you installed on your device.

Tethering and portable hotspot

If you are the type that shares your Npower data with your PC, please password it so that others within range do not tap your wifi. If you password anyone who sees your hotspot won’t be able to connect to your connection unless he knows your password.

I don’t even see any reason while one must tether with laptop because the device itself is a machine that can perform virtually all the tasks you want to perform on your laptop.

Use Data saving apps

Apps consume data more than others. For instance, Opera mini consume less data than chrome

Use Facebook lite instead of the standard app. The standard app is heavy and consume more data.

Screen protection

The screen of your device needs proper maintenance. Don’t use hash cloth to clean the surface, it may lead to scratch on the screen. The price of screen of some of the N-power devices are costlier than many new android devices in the market, particularly Samsung Tab E.

Better still you can buy screen protector to safeguard it.

Power Consumption

Your device battery is meant to last for 5hours, right? But you noticed that within two to three hours the battery begins to give red. Close all unused apps. And when you’re not on the device, set it to save mode.

How to achieve this

Your device comes with Power Efficiency App, this enables you to preserve power when you’re not on it.

Let assume your power would normally lasts for 14H02min.

Tap on the app, activate the advanced power saving mode
Click on confirm
It brings up a very cool screen resolution mode and you’d see that the power would now last for 18H57min
Click on confirm
To deactivate this, there’s an arrow by the top right hand corner of your screen, click on it to gain access to the full feature of your device.

Better still, you reduce the screen resolution of your device to save power

N - Power Updates
All successful names will be sent to your focal
person and to desk officers in various states,
the list of such names will be posted at various
ministries(health,education-SUBEB, Agriculture)
for n-health, teach & Agro respectively. The list
will contain your Primary place of Assignment
(PPA). All verified applicants will be notified to go
and check their names and collect deployment
letter to their PPA for acceptance. Your PPA will
sign on your letter to confirm its acceptance and
immediately you will begin working. This is
expected to begin fully by Jan. Update of your
NPVN profile will begin fully and easily accessible
by Jan. The update is to ensure your details are
correctly entered on your profile. You will be
paid then as you may have been posted to begin
working. Your payment begins Jan. I advise you
keep all your confidential information save to
avoid any identity theft having access to your
profile. Those not seen their names on master
list during physical verification having being
congratulated on checking pre-selection status
should go to their state focal person and define
oneself and complaint properly. The focal person
will collect your details and forwards such to
Abuja for your consideration, this I say to you
2016 on awaiting list and 2017 volunteers in the
same shoe. Ensure you follow this directive as
to be considered.
Goodluck!
so wen shuld we expect the list
